Nicole Hensley the star of the show in Minnesota’s 43 shootout win against the New York Sirens Minnesota stays in first place with a victory here today I’m David Kinowski with Dave Starman Dave we had a great game here and both teams really played as advertised it was a tight one uh the fans certainly got their money’s worth you saw some really great individual efforts especially by the goenda Hensley some really good goals here as well as the Stars took over parts of this game but this was a game where you thought it was going to be in fifth gear all it wasn’t both teams really buckle down defensively a key times during the game which I think for them are huge building points as they go forward and at the beginning of the game it looked like Minnesota might run away with it Kendall coin with two goals in the first period to give the frost an early two zip lead she kind of got a couple of gifts the first one is here on his long pass that hits the skate and now she is Off to the Races and not many players are going to slow her down and she sneaks on through the wickets of Abigail Levy for that then on a dump in Levy thinks that she might want to go for hand can’t cuz ca’s in the way throws it up the wall and coin scoffield is there to bang that one home so it was two nothing early for Minnesota later in the game it was the goalie Nicole Hensley who started to steal the show third period overtime and the shootout she elevated her play the whole way she really did it’s funny cuz she said something along the lines of if you get you give up three goals you can’t be the first star but she probably prevented about nine and in overtime she was unbelievable Jesse Elden so dangerous big glove save there Abby Rock sneaks behind the defense bbon with a huge home run pass Here Comes Rock tries to go to the same area and another you save by Hensley as rock started to pull her and then rock with another Breakaway attempt round two comes in tries to go through the goendale can’t do it and she gets the first star and she was tremendous 33 saves for Hensley another three in the shootout and and Minnesota moves to 12 points on the year to retain possession of first place saw five power plays in this one Minnesota cashed in with one you could say that was the difference as well if your power play goes one for three and it’s a difference making goal your power play had a real good night New York with 31 total chances but it’s Minnesota who comes away with a 4-3 win in the shootout a great matchup here at the credential Center
