morning all all right news of the day video for all you find people on the internet for your Thursday December the 5th uh San Jose uh kind of a a big game for them tonight against Tampa and after the game they had against Washington I would think some excitement going into Tampa but hey maybe we can pull off another upset uh but mine Cabrini looking to run his point streak to six games he’s an 18-year-old the only other two 18y olds in NHL history that have had a point streak of six games or longer Conor McDavid and Patrick l so pretty exclusive uh company he’d be getting into if he can get a point tonight I wouldn’t bet against it um the San Jose Sharks have been playing really well CBR is a huge part of the reason why and the excitement around the Sharks I think is is legit um it hasn’t translated into seeing more people in the seats in San Jose as of yet but if this team continues to stay competitive and exciting it should lead to more ticket sales in that market uh Nick Paul is returning tonight for AA against the San Jose Sharks he’s missed the last handful of games for them they’ll be glad to get him back Nikita COV still dealing with a lower body injury is set to miss his second straight game uh it doesn’t sound like it’s anything major he’s still at practices and whatnot it’s just it’s a matter of uh just giving him the right amount of time to heal up it’s still seen as a day-to-day thing uh Zach Heyman who’s been out for a while for the edmans Oilers are returned so that’ll bolster their wing a little bit that’ll be interesting to see uh how this affects them uh they’re coming off that shut out loss against Tampa or against Tampa against Vegas and tonight against Columbus getting Hyman back we’ll see what that does for the for the teams attack uh but yeah let me let me know your thoughts on where do you think Hyman should slot in do you think Heyman lost his spot on Team Canada potentially because of the injury cuz I I don’t think he was necessarily playing well enough to justify spot in the lineup before the injury but do you feel like maybe he would have had a better chance uh if not for the injury do you think that took him well let me know your thoughts on that I will be talking about Team Canada Team USA and just the general for nation stuff uh today as well not in this video but just uh today I’ll be doing other videos on stuff uh Scott Wedgewood I don’t normally talk about starting Enders but here we are uh against Carolina they’re starting Scott Wedgewood for the Colorado Avalanche you would think this would be a gev game if he’s the starter and if they have a lot of faith in him uh I I think with geev I I think a lot of it is I think self-confidence is in there I think there’s various reasons why things aren’t going all that great for gorv so Wedgewood playing well in relief in that game against Buffalo definitely gives Colorado an excuse to to give Wedgewood a start tonight against Carolina and Wedgewood can be good at times uh he had a rough go of it in Nashville but switching teams has helped him before I know when he went to Dallas all of a sudden he got better and goes to Nashville and things kind of you know fell off for him but now he’s in Colorado and it looks like things might be getting better for him again so if he has a really good game tonight against Carolina is there a goal tending controversy on the way in Colorado uh how quickly can you manufacture one because it feels like we see that all the time now where if a backup starts two or three games in a row all of a sudden the comments are well looks like the starter lost his job which sometimes is true but sometimes not so much uh so let me know your thoughts if you’re an ABS fan on how hopeful you are with with Wedgewood and uh whether or not you think this helps to get your gies game together uh Patrick Kane is set to return for Detroit tonight against the Ottawa Senators uh he’s missed the last I think it’s five games for Detroit uh Kane has slowed down uh this season is is scoring totals have slowed down as well and so I I it does feel like this is probably Patrick Kane’s last season at least it feels that way um doesn’t mean necessarily is but feels that way but yeah uh so against they get Patrick Kane back tonight uh we’ll see what that does for a team that definitely could use some goals the reason I’m wearing a buffalo Jersey Lindy Ruff uh Lindy Ruff tonight coaches his 1800th National Hockey League game uh joins a pretty exclusive Club here himself Scotty Bowman coached 2141 Paul Maurice is currently sitting at 1874 and Barry trotz 1812 games coached so lot of lot of experience behind the the bench for Lindy Ruff and tonight that experience will have to be done without Rasmus dolene Do’s out with backs spasms and when asked about it Lindy Ruff said this should be shortterm but you never know because of how unpredictable backs spasms are totally understand what he’s saying here and so hopefully Do’s not out for that long but there’s always the possibility that that that could be what we’re looking at here so uh dolene out tonight it it’s going to be day to day but you just again it’s you never know you got across your fingers when it comes to something unpredictable like backs spasms uh the Vancouver Canucks have placed chronic on ltir so MC wart and lir macky’s been have been recalled uh extra bodies are always good to have around and I know the Canucks have been dancing around the salary cap because they’re right at the ceiling so putting honic on ltir does free up a little bit of room there um I don’t expect them to go out and get somebody though with the cap space they have with the ltir uh but it does allow the to recall players and and and they also called sassin back up but I I don’t think assassin’s even missed a game uh it’s one of those moving down bring him up move him down bring him up without him actually uh leaving the team but yeah ronic being on ltir we know he’s going to be out for eight weeks so makes total sense to put him on ltir because he’s going to be out long enough uh to qualify for that uh Justin Kirkland this came out yesterday uh after my other news video uh he’s out for the season after having ACL surgery Kirkland was having a a a Renaissance with Calgary Flames this this season hopefully he gets another chance uh it is tough though because he is a role player and you never know when it’s going to be your last chance at the National Hockey League level uh especially in shootouts Kirkland was really good in shootouts so Calgary’s going to miss him uh hopefully Kirkland heals up and comes back in plays for Calgary next season uh the Anaheim Ducks have posted and I figured I might as well I might as well throw this into the news video too for people in Anaheim or might be in Anaheim uh in January January 24th is uh going to be Anaheim Ducks day at Disney California Adventure so not Disneyland Disney California Adventure which is across the parking lot or across the the there basically there’s a walkway between the two parks and so yeah at DCA and then they’re going to have it sounds like an overtime party in Downtown Disney as well so yeah um Anaheim Ducks day kind of a fun idea I will not be down there for January 24th of 2025 but I mean I’ll probably be there in spirit uh I haven’t looked at the date probably going being busy day in the NHL anyways but uh if you if you’ve ever wanted to meet the Ducks uh they’re going to be doing signings things of that nature so yeah uh it sounds like it’s going to be kind of a fun day and I’m surprised that it it doesn’t feel like there’s as many tie-ins between Disneyland and the Anaheim Ducks as there could be since they are really not that far from one another so but at any R and and obviously there’s that history tied between the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim and uh the the Disneyland uh experience and of course the fact that Disney has the Mighty Ducks
