let’s talk more about Alabama off the win over Houston last night ruter a win over Notre Dame this is in Las Vegas at the MGM Grand in the multi-team event there it’s kind of a split tournament right Matt Cox it’s not a true like eight team quarterfinal into the semi-finals I got to have you guys keep me straight on all this stuff before I lose my sanity any the what are they the they have names Legends and leers and wasn’t uh wasn’t they were playing a couple of games at at the same time in a different venue I think too if I saw that correctly so that was a little weird but in any event this is a night game tonight at 7 Pacific time so you’ve got time to to Noodle over this one as you watch us live does it surprise either one of you Alabama a 10-point favorite on the neutral floor off the overtime win maybe you think that number is about where it should be Corby any L on the spread and or the total to begin the discussion yeah it’s tough like this is a Ruckers team who has a lot of talent but do we think that they’ve meshed yet like um a team in Alabama who has played under the same scheme played the same players for x amount of time and and better Talent versus a Ruckers team who is new they’re still trying to mold together we just saw Notre Dame overtime win like uh I think this ruers team is a very talented team and I think if you played this in March it numbers probably closer to six and a half but at current moment 10 Fields about right Alabama’s a really good team from a standpoint of efficiency they take like the most analytically correct shots you could possibly take so um it’s tough to get in front of Alabama Matt kind of talked about this like do I want to back Alabama here no 10 just doesn’t feel fun do I want to get in front of Alabama and fade them I don’t at all I don’t know about you guys um from a total standpoint 162 and a half feels really high but do I want to be on an under in an Alabama game I don’t um and do I think ruers can score enough points against this Alabama defense like I I really don’t I think there’s this is a stay away in every single fcet Alabama um needs to continue to get right I I think that this team looks like a more well oiled machine without a predominant score they need to continue doing it the Houston win was great uh still went through overtime I think they need to figure out some defense um but this tide like I have Futures on them I think it’s pretty good team uh Ruckers don’t sleep on Ruckers in March but for now November I’m staying away Matt Cox ruers which is now in the Big 10 we got to keep all this straight had to hang on in the overtime to beat Notre Dame this was late night last night as we do the show here live now in the 1100 a hour on on a Wednesday Eastern Time a lot of people may not have seen all of this ruter led by six in the final minute and then aloko the three-point shooter Matt aloko made not one not two but three of them to get the game game tied the game was tied on the final possession ruter was fouled they made one of the two free throws Dylan Harper made one of the two free throws and then after a timeout a loco missed what would have been the winning three ruter wins 8584 that’s why they’re in front of Alabama any quick thought here on this I asked the same thing of you is that does that 10-point line surprise you a little bit and has there been any line movement even this morning well it doesn’t surprise me I guess I’m surprised why there hasn’t been more money on Alabama and maybe it’s to your point it already does feel kind of high my my initial point is that Rucker is in sort of a tough spot here right they lost at Kennesaw on Sunday in a barn burner and then they have to fly on a 48 hour turnaround to play yesterday they went in OT so this is now their third game in four days one of which went to OT the first of which was a you know a back and forth 79 track meet so I got to think there is some tired legs uh starting to build up especially on these young freshman like not like these a bunch of 24 year olds these are young freshmen who have not had to play these high intensity games in this quick a turn around you could see a little bit of of crack or or or Shake I guess late in the game for Ruckers if bayama can really wear on them now Bay’s depths not where it um where we expected to see at this point SE so I don’t know if B really has that ability to wear Ruckers out for 40 minutes like we thought they would they’re still down Chris Young Blood remember so they don’t have all their horses in there but I still think it when if you know gun to my head I think they eventually lean on Ruckers and Ruckers cracks down the stretch and again worth noting Alabama was hanging in with Houston without Mark Sears doing very much he had made a couple shots but he made a huge three late in regulation the game got into overtime he made another big three I’m trying to see on the box what he ended up with for the full game but in in watching some of that contest late in the game he had like eight points something like that eight or 10 points he finished with 24 including the overtime uh and I’m looking on how shots that he ended up with the 24 points Sears took 13 shots made four of eight from three-point range in the game it’s Alabama and ruter in Las Vegas MGM Grand seven Pacific Time on TBS cable tonight if you’re interested in watching that one we gave you a lot of good Intel uh how about Alabama and Auburn are playing the Iron Bowl in football later in the weekend they got better basketball uh situation right here one in the championship game in Maui the other right now in this multi-team event in Las Vegas in the top five Alabama so let’s see what happens [Music]
