Liverpool 3 Southampton 2 Liverpool come from behind in a game that was probably more difficult than they first anticipated to go eight points clear at the top of the Premier League Liverpool cannot keep doing this I’m trying to enjoy City’s downfall in fact I am really enjoying City’s downfall but Liverpool keep winning is like let me enjoy man City’s downfall even more because I don’t want Liverpool to win the league but I’m enjoying the city downfall it’s so annoying and look if beat Manchester City as doie said here Liverpool could go 11 points clear of Manchester City next weekend and that you know they wouldn’t have rodri they’re not going to catch them up maybe 11 points I mean City do have this thing of catching people up second half of the Season there was a point where we thought Arsenal was going to run away with the league and I think city did catch up on like 10 points or something with Arsenal but 11 points clear no rodri if you look at how City have been playing if Liverpool beat City next weekend I don’t see City catching them it’s up to Arsenal to stop Liverpool winning the Premier League because they are top they are clear they’ve got the best goal difference and while I don’t think they were at their very best today and I think there’s been a few games where they’ve not been at the very best they do deserve to be top of the league because they’ve played better than Man City they’ve played better than Arsenal this season I think Chelsea and Tottenham on the eye have been the best two teams um after Liverpool but Liverpool you know they’ve deservedly won those games even if they’re in not even if they haven’t got out of second gear in some of those games slot will make a sub they’ll come from behind they’ll win the game they’ve got the mentality to win the game this Liverpool side they’ve got the bench slot knows how to change tactically he knows how to utilize his Squad his profiles the bench incredibly well and that is why Liverpool a top of the league now Liverpool deserved to win the game they were the better team they had a bigger better opportunities and I think that the penalty um that dibling one was I I like Tyler dibling fantastic player for Southampton I did a video on International break about my favorite player from every club and who I thought was really good and I spoke about Tyler dibling and that I said he’s one to watch fantastic versus Liverpool won the penalty but I think the penalty was harsh in my opinion I think it was just outside the box but I do think that Liverpool could have been two up at Hal time and then it one1 I think that Liverpool were a little bit sloppy in defense allowed Southampton to get a bit confidence and a bit belief and I think Southampton did well and they could be proud of themselves but ultimately Liverpool did enough to win that game and they did deserve to win the game it was more difficult than maybe Liverpool had anticipated I think there was maybe that post International uh break hangover but Liverpool 2.7 to XG to southampton’s 1.2 arguably mallister could have won a penalty as well um I think Liverpool deserved to win the game but you know it wasn’t wasn’t all like easy for Liverpool so that’s the one positive I’m going to take as a man united fan is it wasn’t easy for Liverpool so hopefully they will drop some points soon because it would be a lot more enjoyable if Liverpool started dropping points so I could really enjoy Manchester City man sorry Manchester 115’s downfall but again Mark stat Bots actually has the XG at 3.1 to Liverpool to 1.34 I think you know at times you know Liverpool could have actually got a few more goals today I think Salah hit the post um I think was it Nunes that squared it and it was just behind the other player there was a couple opportunities there I mean Southampton you have to give it to them they were defending for their life they gave everything today I think those Southampton players should be proud and stuff they gave everything they worked so hard but Liverpool just had that quality and I think in the last 20 minutes of the game the subs the impact the quality the Liverpool had came through now this was the fent decision I don’t like to be one of those channels that goes on about penalties and stuff like that um but if I if this happened to man united I’d be peed off I think he’s outside the box um because if you look at dibling he’s the one that’s fouled it was a foul it should have been a free kick there’s no doubt in my mind it’s a foul but dibling his foot isn’t on the line his foot for me is outside the box is Robinson’s foot maybe just on the line I don’t know but if but surely I don’t know if a penalty can be given if Robinson’s foot’s on the line surely it has to be dibling dibling has to be in the Box for it to be a foul for me it looks like a free kick and I can understand why Liverpool fans would be annoyed about that um and you know what Michael Oliver who was on V he was the same knob that gave West Ham the most BS penalty you ever saw when man united played them Michael Oliver I tell you this now he’s the one referee that gives some of the most stupidest decisions in my opinion because delict and ings ran into each other and you know the ref didn’t even give it on the field and Michael over andar decided to give West Ham this penalty which did get tal Amon in and maybe it’ll be a blessing of Disguise we’ll see because the I switch game is going to kick off soon so I’m I’m trying to record this before the up switch game and I put it out half time uh but I think Liverpool were hard done by there and I’m saying that’s a man united fan I don’t think it was a penalty if I was going to be honest uh but let’s talk about Salah I actually would have given Graber man of the match but Salah won the game and got the three points and at the end of the day I think the three points is more important than the performance for Liverpool because the three points is is them going you know eight points clear as City could go 11 points clear as City that’s pretty mad you know let’s assume Arsenal win against West Ham they still what be nine points clear if they beat City second place Arsenal after what 12 13 games which is absolutely in insane when you think about it but let’s talk about mosalah because this guy is inevitable absolutely inevitable it I I can’t I cannot wait for Salah to leave Liverpool as I don’t know if he’s getting a new contract or not I don’t know what what your club’s doing but as a man united fan Salah needs to go because this guy I feel like is becoming a little bit underrated in the world of football because I feel like he’s everyone’s so used to him putting up good numbers each season that him putting up good numbers gets ignored a lot you know that people people say oh you know just because he puts up good numbers doesn’t mean this or that I mean he’s literally winning games and winning points for Liverpool he I think he gets so disrespected online but two t two goals today got the penalty scored a goal probably could have got Hatcher because he hit the post um then he had that one where was just over right after he scored the penalty one key pass two out three dribbles completed 45 touches I noticed in those last 25 minutes Salah really came a light when he was getting the ball he was dribbling it it wasn’t giving it away it was like he took the game into his hands and was like I’m the experienced player I need to win the game I’ve got the quality and he like switched on for 20 minutes and and and just won that game for Liverpool Salah is the first player in the Premier League to be directly involved in 16 Premier League goals this season 10 goals and six assists these are my notes on him just consistency the fact that he’s getting you know 30 plus goal contributions sometimes 40 plus goal contributions he do once or twice was it once 50 plus goal contributions a season for seven consistent seasons in the RO at Liverpool in the most difficult league in the world under different managers in different circumstances whether Liverpool had a good season or a bad season is Absolut ridiculous that’s not normal if any other Premier League player was putting up the numbers that Salah had been putting just for one season they would get so much hype but Salah does it for seven eight seasons and maybe he’s a victim of his own standard because he gets good numbers for so many seasons that if Salah gets a 30 goal contribution season that’ll be sent as a poor Salah season because he can get 40 whereas if another player got a 30 goal contribution season everyone be like whoa whoa whoa I think you know people sleep on maybe the consistency of Salah in terms of what he does every season narrowly didn’t get hattick today um but the way he just woke up those last 25 minutes took the game put it on his hands and that was the leadership and mentality shown by Salah and I think with Liverpool because they’ve got Allison van djk Trent Salah they’ve got four worldclass players three they’re all very experienced they’ve all won the Premier League before they’ve got four players that the capable of winning a league and bringing that mentality and Salah was the one that brought that today obviously they missed out on Trent H but I thought Liverpool were quite good in the first half but maybe we’re a little bit underestimating Southampton they thought this would be an easier game maybe it’s a little bit of post International break hangover we know that impacts Liverpool and they could have been two up and maybe they thought this game was going to be a lot easier than it was and they lost a bit of concentration conceded a silly penalty Robertson needs to do better for that second half Southampton came out very lethal very fantastic counterattacking goal dibling again involved play I’m a massive fan of um but then Liverpool got that goal through Salah Brilliance that that finish from Salah was absolutely excellent and that is what sort of got Liverpool back in the game and after that Salah goal the momentum was just Liverpool Liverpool Liverpool and Southampton just couldn’t even get out their own third and Liverpool were piling on the pressure and from that moment I was like damn Liverpool is going to win the game um and Salah that a big part of it was Salah just that finish I mean the graen B ball in itself was fantastic but the Finish from Salah was ridiculous so my general thoughts on the game so I don’t want this video to be too long I thought Liverpool set pieces were poor and and throughout the match I thought they a bit wasteful you know Southampton blocking a lot of shots I thought Liverpool were a little bit wasteful at times and I think they did enough to be tune up and they they were a little bit wasteful at times I think after 2-2 Liverpool got the momentum that you know maybe they were frustrated by southampton’s resilience but they finally broke through and I think Liverpool could have scored a few more and I think Southampton defended well to be fair to them um yeah I think that Graber very solid performance aru be up there for man of the match um defensively I don’t think Liverpool at their best they’ve had the most stable defense in the League this season but today they were vulnerable they could be got at canar he’s probably been Liverpool’s second best performer after Graber this season or third after Salah has been was particularly not his best he wasn’t bad but I know what he’s capable of and I think Robertson’s been very hit and missed this last season or so I think Liverpool need to look at a left back or a left sided defender in January if they can get the right one maybe they have to wait till the summer and I thought that this this showed maybe one or two cracks in Liverpool where maybe they can potentially be got at but it also just showed the resilience and mentality winning a premier league title is not just about having the quality but it’s about having the mentality the resilience and Liverpool have responded to setbacks many times this season where they’ve been you know down to Brighton or they haven’t first half and they’ve gone and won the game in the second half and they can come from behind and and they play to the end and that’s what title winning team brings going into someone that you could argue as man of the match Ryan grenberg one assist and that assist was absolutely fantastic the ball was just as good as a salid finish three chance is great 92% pass accuracy 10 passes into the final third two out of three successful dribbles five recoveries two interceptions and five out of eight jws one I thought he put an absolute performance particularly on the ball everything he did these were my notes from graen B which I’m trying to get through quickly because the Man United game kicks off in 15 minutes I want to wrap up this video in five because I’m going live on Alice foot ball but graba fantastic today the ball to sell of the retention but I think it was the time there was a couple of times in that second half and at the end of the first half we was getting the ball and he was just driving being and dribbling around a few players and laying off the ball he doesn’t get the ball away he retains it well he can dribble past players his strides I thought that was really good I thought he was really good I think he helps in the build up he’s always an option to receive the ball play the Quick Pass keep the ball he’s impacting every phase of the pitch but his ball carrying has always been his strongest strength and I think that helped Liverpool get a bit of ticking a bit of tempo and actually helped pin Southampton back a bit which was helping Liverpool build up the chances where I did feel once it was 2-2 the momentum Liverpool got they were going to win 3-3 unfortunately and I thought he was you know Graber was vital when everything phase of play from ball progression you know from setting the tempo making the runs the passes the dribbling I thought he was fantastic on the ball can receive at all angles so comfortable and gifted on the ball but also off the ball he was just covering ground making those runs I thought he was fantastic now I saw counter press put out Fred now he’s put out a very long Fred so this is only a little bit of his Fred go check out the whole Fred but I think he’s spot on about slot AR slot’s approach the season has to find him as a worldclass coach many managers come into a new club and opt to suffer initially in order to establish long-term tactical philosophies and principles the Dutchman has not done that he’s not been stubborn if it’s not working he changes at halftime he you know some managers have a plan they stick to the plan it doesn’t work they don’t change it they think long term arnish slot is not stubborn he’s doing what he can to get the best out of the players it might be shter he’s adap to it he’s been able to maximize the talent at his disposal without really a transfer the winner because I’m not counting KRA and madash Philly because they’ve not really played and obviously ones coming next year he’s not had 200 million spent obviously inher ited a very good side and Liverpool’s recruitment’s been good but he just went into Liverpool he saw he’s got four World cast talents in Allison van djk Salah and Trent and he was thinking you know let’s come up with a strategy that’s going to maximize these game-winning individuals and I think counter press is absolutely spot on about this you know just creates the foundation knows how Liverpool play allows and sets the team up in the perfect condition to win the games utilize the talents and that’s what I think Liverpool did well and even when they don’t have talents like Allison kellerer probably the best backup Keeper in the league fantastic well to save the penalty as well put made us some fantastic saves and again he utilizes the bench well mallister and Diaz came off the bench I think that Liverpool’s best Midfield three has to have mallister in I know he hasn’t been as good this season as last season but I think he’s so crucial I thought Diaz made an impact I think Cody gapo was unlucky to come off I didn’t think Nunes had the best the best game but I think that gapo is better out wide and I think Nunes does work hard in terms of the press and everything but I also thought they he utilized his bench well went into his bench well and I thought that Liverpool were you know deserved winners in the end I Southampton made it difficult and I was hoping Southampton would get a point and I was like oh come on Southampton but I think you have to admit Liverpool did enough to win the game in the end thank you for watching see you next time bye
