Dylan cousins is signed to a massive ticket the Workhorse from White Horse uh has 7.1 million doll and he’s not a UFA until 2030 so again that’s after this season four five more years on a deal at 7.1 million the idea of adding a 2C for the Oilers and going full-time Conor McDavid and Leon drad where do you come out on that um if you can get someone like a Dylan cousins then I think I’m all in because I also think you could if you wanted to just put Dylan cousins with one of them as well for example or whatever that star center is right like you can kind of make it work in that way if You Were Somehow able to get Dylan cousins I I just don’t know how you do it because the big part about all of this for me is the best Prospect you have you got from the Buffalo Sabers and the easiest cap dump you have is a guy the Sabers just bought out I mean yeah the only other one would be idson so muck was I give him arvidson and Henrik and then you make the money work and you add in Futures I would assume because cousins won’t be won’t be super cheap to acquire um I mean sure but I just don’t think the big goal for Buffalo this offseason was to get faster in that bottom six Adam Henri is isn’t doing that no and I’m with you like I still think the best chance that this team has um see mu says you move arvitson Henri first and a third all good I don’t I I honestly don’t think Buffalo does that first off and then if you’re Edmonton you’ve now moved your first and a third you’re you know maybe you’d view this you’re now down a top nine forward as well but again cousins there’s upside there so that a tradeoff will and make but now your first and third is gone so you’re not picking in the first round for two more drafts and you still haven’t solved the problem on the blue line so like again I again in theory I can understand where it’s like go get a high-end 2C play McDavid and dry settle together and still have a top nine that can score yeah I just think the easier path to improving this team is to let Conor McDavid and Leon dadle figure it out on separate lines you know you need to improve improve the blue line so go do that with your limited assets and again when you’re healthy this top nine is really good and maybe I don’t even hate the idea of running McDavid and drle together if whoever is gonna be on their right side like can Connor Brown be the guy for them on the right side if McDavid and Leon are gonna do so much good together can you just have a Connor Brown who can keep up skate well and hopefully score on some of his chances because then maybe you can do a second line that’s and I’m trying to do this on the Fly here but Hyman NJ and P klen okay is there enough there isman enough of a driver is pen good enough his own end like can that Trio work and then Henrik Skinner and yanm Mark or arvon actually it would be is even kaon too yeah so like can you build it out now maybe muck says just keep Ka in there I guess yeah Conor Brown captain and insert whatever piece you want to put up there they for what they seem to really like having Cory Perry up on that line which it feels like it happened so much that almost Conor and Leon say they want it um yeah but I think if you’re going to do it you have to trust the fact that you made your bets this summer by signing henrique and signing arvidson and signing Skinner that like we have enough Talent there and I do think they borderline do especially when if Vander Kane’s back like you have a borderline Log Jam up front and again maybe you feel thin down the middle going n and Henrik at two and three but that’s the trade-off you have to make if you want to have a top line that’s going to be loaded up in that way I still don’t think that’s the answer to all of this I still think the better play is to have Connor and Leon separate and I wouldn’t spend these significant assets that would take to get a 2C that is significantly better than Henrik significantly better than NJ like it just costs so much that I’m I’m not interested in doing that no I I’m with you I’m interested in the player greatly of course but I just see assets you would have to give up it just doesn’t make a lot of sense I actually look at this Buffalo roster and there’s not many guys like the other should have much interest in like didn’t did Jeff Merck mention Jack quinnn and not really interested in Jack Quinn but this leads me to a different kind of question in it I’m sure he brought up his name he might have yeah what if PM Krebs became a bit available he’s a 23 year old he’s from okes he’s got two years left on his deal including this one 1.5 I know the Oilers don’t need a forward necessarily more defens and but like if you’re looking at Buffalo and they’re like hey like we need to get rid of someone here kind of like send a bit of a message would paying Krabs be someone you’re interested in he’s having a decent season what would you trade for him though I don’t know that’s the thing but that’s when I just look at this Buffalo roster he’s just like one of the few players I’d be like you know what the other’s going to afford that he’s somewhat of a need he’d be like a pod Co in level bet the only thing is we’re kind of getting to a point with Krebs where it’s like only 23 yeah but like pod CO’s in it was like great rookie year down year okay give up the fourth round pick he comes with term which I know Krebs would a little bit as well but like we’re looking at full seasons here of pyton Krabs 2122 he played in 48 games scored seven goals even that pro rated out is 12 uh 74 games the next year only nine next year 80 games only four like it’s not moving in a positive direction at any point so change of scenery guy sure what would I give up for pton Krebs nothing more than a mid- round pick like I’m not oh I wouldn’t either right like this isn’t like a arvon for Krebs kind of situation this is something where like Buffalo has made a trade somewhere else to get more experience and Krebs is now on their fourth line and you go here’s a fourth round pick give us Payton Krebs and yeah and he gives a little something other than Derrik Ryan who I think it’s something subtly that went out there last night was they put Derrick Ryan on the ice for like a big draw and he won it he stayed out there for a little bit and then took off I think they do really value him for stuff like that he had a really good face off now against Utah Colorado I can’t remember which one it was like I just wonder if they would be willing to upgrade on that because the thing is to Krabs isn’t a lefty and you could just call him Noah Phil to in the same breath yep and I think I would go that direction and as much as I love like Derrick Ryan goes out wins a big draw Leon Dr wins a lot of draws they dominated Vegas in the dot last night it was like 58% um Leon can win big draws Conor McDavid I know he’s not Elite at winning faceoffs but like again I don’t know keeping Derrick Ryan in the lineup so that he can win you one face off every two games when you really need it what’s up Nation citizens if you like that video then you need to be
