and let’s get underway with what is the third place game coming up I got to keep all of this straight this is South Dakota State and Missouri State in a third place game they were both unfortunately losers on Monday and this game is what met uh this is Cayman Islands Cayman Islands Third Place game in the John Gray gymnasium here in the Cayman Islands classic where uh South Dakota state is a one and a half Point favorite with a total of 145 a half so let’s get it underway here with Jeff na Jeff uh your thoughts on this game this afternoon and why is it number one on the sheet here but the way this group is playing South Dakota State I mean they’ve been really impressive this season you know I think coming into the season I was concerned about you know new freshman point guard you know what would this group look like they pretty much kind of lost everybody they’re bringing in a new transfer and clu but I mean I think Eric Henderson’s got to be pretty happy with with the effort so far we mentioned yesterday in the Q&A that 12 or whatever that was seemed like a lot against Boise and what they do it was a one-point loss you I don’t think there’s any way reason to hang your head Boise stes a really good top 50 program and you probably could have won the game I think it it’s it’s business continuing here as usual I’m not particularly high on this Missouri State team they’re a group that that’s replacing a lot of talent too lost a bunch of kids from last year here when we look at so far Missouri state has really been dependent on getting to the free throw line This is generally a pretty decent South Dakota State Defense for their standards they’re definitely the better offensive team in this game probably by a wide margin I’m going to trust that in just a winnable game I think KF Gary sailor those kids that South Dakota State have I just think are better than what Missouri state has I haven’t really seen the offensive continuity that I might just want yet from Missouri State and I’m not sure they’re going to get to the line like they want to here I think South Dakota State’s the better team I’m going to take them to just win this game against Missouri State again Matt Cox for Missouri State they lost to Boston College by two a last second three-pointer by Elijah strong strong of Boston College put them in the championship game in the Cayman Islands thoughts on this third place game including maybe something on the total Matt yeah it’s been B down the total has 145 a half to 143 which totally makes sense the way both these teams want to play Missouri State I’m with je I thought this team would be really rough this season and quano Martin is sort of a uh you know he’s a do more with less type of Coach he’s always been that I think his criticism came when he had a lot of talent and didn’t fully achieve high expectations so I think in this kind of spot Underdog that’s where he’s been very effective this season against South Dakota State you Jeff mentioned Oscar K just a force inside they’re goingon to want to feed him early and often I would be shocked if this gets over 144 145 I do like the under uh but only a slight lean not a ton of value at the current number um and just personally I don’t bet a ton of the sides on these mte on neutrals especially if it’s not the championship game you just don’t always really understand how coaches are approaching it um once you’re in the constellation bracket obviously if you’re in the Winner’s bracket everyone’s trying to win but for these mid Majors with you know that know they’re probably in a one- bid League realistically you know maybe you show a few extra freshman off the bench in the second half after a back to back to back you just so a lot of Randomness um you won’t have you won’t see me have many strong convictions and this is another game where I just don’t have a strong opinion slight lean to South Dakota state but nothing strong to me I’m just going to go better team and I I’ll just throw this out too not that this will matter South Daka State played a little earlier yesterday in the day uh Missouri state did play the later game and did go to overtime they lost a close game to to BC so both teams played power fiveish opponents uh and lost close games one of which was in an overtime game so little advantages I’ll take South Dakota State and again bear in mind that championship game coming up is Boise State and Boston College this should be a fairly entertaining game in the Cayman Islands this afternoon 530 5:30 Easter time I was looking I think it’s ESPN plus will have the game looking for a feed a stream something to see it I was looking around for this Jeff says I need one thing I need a jack rabbit’s win I need a South Dakota State win in the third place game in the Cayman Islands man I see the live audience mushrooming are we going to s met the standard for the beginning of the show here for the first four weeks today alone I know at some point in yesterday’s live show we had over 900 different people watching the live show which is great we want that number to be 9,000 you don’t get to 9,000 without getting to 900 first so keep it up keep
