all right guys welcome back to another preview tomorrow’s game we’re going to Portugal we’re playing against sportting Lisbon it’s going to be match day number five we need a win uh because we don’t want to be falling too behind eighth place so we’ll get into the match preview now uh we’re playing at 8:00 tomorrow so let’s get into it first thing first then if you look at the Champions League table we’re sitting in 12th position but because the format has changed this year and we now play Eight Games in the group stages you can’t really look too much into that and think no we’re 12 cuz on the other hand there’s 36 teams right it’s not the best position to be after four games especially when you’ve got teams like Villa who are in eighth um breast who are in fourth position Monaco who are in third but look after the sixth game you want to be in that eighth spot at least if you’re out of the eighth spot after the sixth game then you’re playing catchup and it could turn a little bit dirty so tomorrow we’re going to sporting lisbourne and we we really need the three points as a matter of choice um a draw is not going to be the end of the world but you’re going to look at the teams behind us by lusen Le Celtic Zagreb Bayern Madrid Benfica Milan Athletico PSV PSG most of these teams are only three points behind us and we’ve not got the best of goal difference so if most of those teams win tomorrow on on Wednesday and we lose or get a draw we could at we could drop down to past 20 and it’s going to start to be a bit tricky you know you’re going to have to you’re not going to be able to rest any players for your last home game and it could be detrimental for your Premier League game that weekend so look we need the three points Tomorrow there’s going to be a little bit of daylight if we can get those three points um look they’ve let go of their manager um but we know they’ve got Firepower um so it’s going to be a hard game I mean we’ve not really gone out of first second gate to be completely fair with you all even in the Champions League let alone the Premier League so look we’ve got most of our players back now so there’s no excuse CU I know it’s an away game and away away games in the Champions League Europa League just a European game is difficult um but we need to get the three points there there’s no excuses one point is it’s not going to be enough we need the three points so we’ll get into sporting lisburne and see how their season’s cracking on and talk a little bit about Sporting Lisbon now one thing I want the Arsenal players and I ETA and uh Arsenal as a club as a whole is to not underestimate sport in Lisbon if you look at their league position in the Premier League the Portugal League they’re sitting in first spot and I’ll tell you something they’ve played 11 games and how many do you think they’ve won they’ve got 100% win record so you do the maths they’ve won 11 out of 11 goal differen is are plus 34 and they W 3 three points so they’re going to steamroll that League um let’s not look too much into that because the majority of those teams are the dog bird cow pig whatever you want to call them I’m just being honest with you so right let’s forget about that table now if you look at the um screen now this is the formation they had in their last League game which was a couple of weeks ago so I can’t say I know most of these uh they’ve got Israel in there so I’m not sure how many they’re going to concede there um they play as a back five but we know we don’t know if they’re going to cave on doing that because that was um amorim’s style of play wasn’t it so anyway they had debas diomande who’s a very good Center back I know him and then race and then on the um left and right quenda maximiliano AR Rojo and then the midfielders bansa I don’t know if I’m um pronouncing these right uh HUD Mand again trinka I’ve heard of him I’m sure he used to play for Barcelona Pote po not sure and then Victor jarez who we all know scores a hattick for fun so he’s the danger man we’ve got to um you know single him out and make sure he doesn’t get much space um and try and get a win because look they not used to Los in this season um but a new manager I’ve not really looked into it I’ve not really done the research to see who their manager is or is it an interim one I don’t know I’m not into Portuguese football um but look this is the team we’re playing um in the Champions League table I think the second you know let me just quickly check come on where’s the Champions League there we are oh that’s the woman’s Champions League one sec right so they’re sitting in second spot they’ve won three drawn one and the goal difference is plus seven remember the last game the beat man city was it 42 53 something like that um so look they have got the firep power they’ve got the confidence they’re on a high they just played on Friday actually uh they had a cup game and I I think they won that 42 or something but they had the rested a lot of lot of players so they’ve had Saturday Sunday Monday to rest and they’re at home we played on Saturday 3:00 so we’ve got Sunday we’ve rested and then today uh but obviously we’ve got to get get over there and um you know it’s no excuses though so look that’s sport in Lisbon right then let’s get into the head-to-head now I can say we’ve not played many games against sport in Lisbon and I’ll tell you why that is because the majority of the um after the year 2000 we’ve mostly been in the Champions League where sporting you know they wasn’t the the force in the Portuguese league it was more FC PTO and you can’t always have a few teams in the Champions League from Portugal so they’ve not always been there they’ve been in the lower ones like Europa League and stuff like that and that is where we have met them four times so after we started dropping out the champions league and playing in the Europa League towards the end of aring vengers era we initially played them in 201819 we drew nil nil at home and we beat them one n away now the one another way Danny Welbeck scored I have no memory of that game whatsoever no I I know watched it 100% but I have no memory now the one that will be in your memory is the 2022 2023 season where we was in the round of 16 we had a fair draw against Sporting Lisbon we had the away game first and then they come to em Stadium don’t forget though we was in a title run around then as well um so we had to be very very careful so we drew 22 away and then at home we thought you know what you know we’ll we’ll win this we’re at home but the way they set up you know there was very defensive they ain’t going to play how they did against us there tomorrow so Jaca opens the score in the 19th minute they equalize towards the end on the 62nd goes to penalties I believe Martinelli missed his shot and they beat was 53 and the worst of it all CBA went off injured and then it our season for the Premier League because he didn’t play a game again what I do want to say though this is the team that we had it’s going to be very different to tomorrow so ramsdale was in there we had Tommy ASU on the right s Gabrielle and zinenko we had ree Nelson on the right Fabio Vier on the other side georgino Jaca Martinelli and Jesus tomorrow’s team is going to be completely different there’s probably going to be three or four at best starting who started two seasons ago so yeah I mean even though they beat was on penalties they’ve not even they’ve not beat us in a 90 game 90 minute game so they’ve not beat us um in 90 minutes so tomorrow is a 90-minute game if they do end up beating us then that’s their first win against us but that’s not going to happen is it so let’s get into the team lineup I’m going to go with David rer in there we’re not resting him we’re going to go with Timber on the right we’re not resting him either because we’ve not really got um Ben White or Tommy ASU I’m going to play CBA I’m going to play Gabrielle as well and I’m want to play Cal fiori I mean we we don’t have any room or margin forever tomorrow so we’re going to have to put out a strong tide cuz look if we start resting a few players and then get losing you know what what everyone’s going to say the agenda is going to come out again so let’s get the job done early now I’m going to start part because he didn’t play on the weekend the full 90 minute so he should be a bit fresh rice didn’t play a single minute so he’s starting tomorrow 100% I can guarantee you that and then ard’s playing so that’s going to be our Midfield now up front Saka is playing there’s no question um another world class performance from him at the weekend May he have another one tomorrow tomorrow I mean Gabriel Jesus had a good game although he didn’t score get an assist he did do a lot for the team track him back uh OneTouch play in the involved in the buildup play so although he’s not on the end product and and that’s what most people fans pundits judge you on as a center forward he’s doing all the other bits so I am quite I’m content with his performances recently because I can see he’s trying but this game do we start him do we not well let’s go on the left first I’m going to start Martinelli because I do believe we’re going to need him on on the counter I think we’re not going to control large parts of the game it’s going to be a bit boring it’s going to frustrating so I’m going to go with Martinelli and then I want to see Jesus again I’m not kidding you um his best performances are always in the Champions League as well I think if we have Jesus with the way we play I think it will suit us I think havitz will slow the game down a bit tomorrow let’s keep him for West Ham um or the second half so that’s my lineup now what’s my prediction look I support Arsenal um I’m going to go for an Arsenal win simple as that we don’t win many away games but a away to into Milan with the injuries we had we should have come out at least two goals clear it doesn’t mean we’re going to have the same performance again we could have the worst performance of our entire history but we could win 1 No 2 no that’s that’s football for you doesn’t mean just cuz you’re playing well you’re going to win doesn’t work like that football so I’m going to go for a scrappy win but I’m going to go for a two-nil win I think we’ve got we’ve got the fuel and the fire power to put a couple of um goals in I think our defense if the defense that I’ve said starts tomorrow we’ve got enough to keep Victor joarez quiet yeah just cuz he scored a hattick against City and a hattick against these Portuguese teams doesn’t mean he’s going to do it against Arsenal in fact he’s not even going to score one tomorrow he’s going to have a quiet
