[Applause] hello everyone and welcome to black cats TV with me Conrad no Mike today he’s off on his jollies at the moment there so he asked us if we could uh have a quick chat uh even it’s just me talking quick chat about West Brom tomorrow night uh so very quick chat because I’ve just come in from work and and I’m starving so we sit second they sit in fifth I believe might be fifth or sixth let’s have a quick look I’m not Googling it’s sixth sixth place in the table they are just six points behind us so it’s a bit of a I don’t want to say a promotion head to head this early in in the season but when you’ve got Sheffield United in the game following I think it’s going to be very important that we put down a marker especially with the four draws in a row we need to be making sure that these teams don’t don’t passes by we don’t want to just sort of draw keep them close to us in case we stumble later on as we’ve done in a couple of games you know winning positions with mil wall throwing it away in the last minutes Coventry 2-0 up at halftime and cruising we want to make sure that if we’re serious about being promoted in first second even playoffs if it comes to that not that we want it to that we need to make sure that we actually give a good account of ourselves best thing going about that is the fact that we’ve got three at least three players returning of course Bellingham would be you’d assume would be straight back in the starting lineup you’ve got Hume I didn’t think anything was wrong with the defense against milw War but I I wouldn’t be surprised to see him back in the in the starting 11 there as well Roberts is an interesting one because my Ender actually I thought had a great game against um mil wall he did really well got in behind them a good couple of times made some decent runs you know looked a threat so I don’t think Roberts automatically gets his position back in the team but you know stranger things have happened they might be considering of course that we’re going to be playing again on Friday they might rest one of them for a little bit longer and then play them again on the on the following Friday against Sheffield United however this is a preview about West Brom West Brom sixth in the table their top scorer well known to sundland fans for a a number of reasons shall we say h Josh maer 10 goals this season s uh 16 I was going to say played but uh and one assist as well so he’s doing rather well he’s the second top scorer in the division uh so he’s he’s got six ahead of the next best player for for Sunderland anyway which was no five ahead of sorry of Wilson Isidor uh yeah who always have the what’s it the obligatory card a former player does well or scores against his former Club so we’d like not to see that happening this time love to see balard two foot him again a bit like he did in one of the previous games against him where uh he got away with it and might been the one the last one at the stadium of L uh I think we won 2-1 seem to remember goals from was it Dan Neil and Ballard in that game before I think it was is it Thomas Asante scored for for West Brom to make it 2-1 in the the last few minutes I think that was the last time we played him at the stadium light in December and then of course we went to the Hawthorns in April while we were in a dismal run of form and we won one- nil EA scored a lovely volley into the top Corner uh so it’s not been a terrible record against West Brom in the last three games prior to that it did take us until 2014 to to win a game against West Brom where we beat him two-nil at home uh I always remember the one where we played West Brom uh and was it D Dwight York and Stern John scored for us and I think Darren Carter scored for for West Brom former sundland player as well and I think after the game Tony Mo who was the manager of West Brom at the time gave a rather emotional well the way they play football they won’t finish higher than us so good thing he didn’t have any uh money on that because we went on to win the league and uh if I’m right I don’t think they got promoted so fun times but we like Tony now Tony’s all right so if we look at the history say recent history of the two sides H we know of course Sunderland in the last six games have won twice drawing them the last four with uh QPR Preston Coventry and milal winning two of those and then threw them away most recently mil wall in the last minute when could have been 2-0 to us if Alexi had uh you know put it away but then 30 seconds later we’re we’re 1-1 uh West Broms games uh nil nil with Blackburn nil nil with Cardiff 1-1 with Luton nil nil with Burnley they beat Hull 2-1 away and then they’ve drawn 22 with Norwich Norwich up in the playoffs as well um so you would imagine looking at the the form of the teams it’s probably got a draw written all over it at this point uh you know we’ve got the three of our best players available and most consistent players are available you know we’ still got mundle out of course and and the likes of brown as well so we’d like to see maybe alexic still getting some minute I don’t want to say start but we’re going to need him in the in a few games time potentially if Brown’s out for a while so I think we do need to make sure that he continues to to get minute I thought he did well when he came on put his foot in good few times and bit off the pace but not massively off of it so I think we we have to go we have to try and win this this match of course there I think Mike has said that sundland will bounce back and win potentially 5 nil against West Brom uh which we’d love to see love to see an absolute smashing victory at the stadium of light I think I’ve gone a bit more conservative and uh went for a two-nil two-nil win at the stadium of late um I do see do see a draw on the cards as well but hopefully not um we’ve we’ve just got to make sure we do what we do I don’t think we fear anybody at home we’ve had what five wins two draws at the stadium I like this season so we need to make sure we’re winning these games at home or at least the majority of them and uh picking up points away from home is never a bad thing and we’ll we’ll still be in and around it I think there will be an eye on the Sheffield United game I know lebis doesn’t really like to make substitutions especially when his uh bench the other day was full of full of a crash of kill of kids children kids children and he didn’t really have many options but these are the the positions he finds himself in so like to say I think Hume you could see back in Bellingham would be a guarantee to be back in the team I think and then Robert and Myer I think you might see Myer carry on and then Roberts take over at halime and then Roberts more likely to start against Sheffield United so uh let us know what your score predictions will be in the chat let us know if you have any thoughts about how the lineup will will look will he stick with his 442 revert back to the 4231 you know there was potential knocks for for Isidor and Connelly in the the milw war game Isidor did see out the game but didn’t look
