thanks to Rasmus hland and some of the other players as well let’s not forget but Joe didn’t make easy work of it did we I mean that first 45 50 minutes was abject yeah it it was like hitting you it was like who is it is it Homer where he just stands on rake after rake after rake and they just come up and smack him in the forehead that was watching the first 45 minutes just standing on a garden full of downturned rakes that was like painful to watch it was I almost don’t want to address the first 45 minutes pretend it didn’t happen I think we should pretend it didn’t happen because it it was I said it on the watchong if you had a chart of all the things a football match is and cross referenced it with that first foot I don’t think it would even legally count as a football match it was awful nothing happened nothing happened at all what I love about that is right because nothing happened whatsoever in that first 45 minutes Andre N for I can’t have another 45 like that so let’s make something happen and I respect him for yeah let’s create a goal for Victoria pilsan out of nothing by passing to one of their attackers and then leaving myself in no man’s land where I can’t do anything whatsoever to stop him scoring yeah I mean it was quite impressive it was quite impressive the first half in all honesty was was just terrible on it and it was one of those ones where you’re watching it thinking what’s what is amarim thinking here watching some of these lot play and and play for their careers as well because there’s a handful of players on the pitch who I think it’s fair to say a lot of people aren’t sure about I think that’s probably a nice way of putting it that’s a nice way to put it and almost none of them looked any good I don’t I think in the first half Bruno did a couple of things that I thought were quite good mazra didn’t really put a foot wrong um but even then wasn’t kind of expressive self that we see from that Center back position it was just so flat and I’m sure Amarin was was Furious we couldn’t keep the ball very well I know we had a lot of possession but we wasted the ball a lot is what I’m trying to say the the The Possession stats tell us we had a lot of the ball but we lost it in good areas over and over again for no real reason X’s holdup play was was poor rashford was poor even Amad who’s been so good this season was poor just didn’t get involved in the game and himself looked a little bit slow and then like you said though it almost needed Onana to mess things up and we said this so much under Sola how often do we have to go a go down before we looked any good it was the same tonight Onana basically puts the ball in in the back of his own net for as much as for as much good he did um then we made the subs then everything changed instantly Anthony and mount and holand coming on um all of them were good even Anthony I know he gets a lot of stick but he had a decent Cameo today even though he popped a couple of balls 15 yards over the bar for no reason he looked dangerous and he carried the ball forward well Bruno stepped it up and not and ammad then became the player that we know mazra became the player that we know um the subs completely changed the game today and we’ll get into hland specifically but it was two completely different games and I think that will be a worry for em that we need this like outside influence of conceding a goal and you know Subs coming on for us to look even remotely like a football team that is a big worry yeah there was a lot to to to be concerned about then I just we have to i s keep reminding myself this is like almost like preseason it’s a work in progress he’s trying out different players he’s giving everyone a chance some players are taking that chance like we’ve seen rasas Holland others like you mentioned with xerx and rashford and and the time will be running out for them but I like the fact that he was able to make those changes and affect the game in a positive fashion because we saw it the weekend against Forest where we made changes and it didn’t didn’t work no but today it did um loads of super chats and comments I’m going to get into I between Rasmus and xery uh man 123 says it could just be that the subs are our strongest team um RIS finess as massia is getting forward more than others although he says he still needs to move on though um what did you make of that game Jay it was very very frustrating for the first sort of 55 maybe 60 minutes however long it was when the first half was terrible I thought we were poor we gave the ball away far too easily then in the second half we obviously had that fatal Mistake by almost failed certainly conceded a goal by Onana just not really happening there was one or two players though that at least looked like they were trying to make things happen Bruno Fernandez was one of them I thought he was the only one maybe him and Amad in that first half I thought did quite well or at least whated to try to make things happen Bruno in the second half was even better some great passes obviously helped set up goal as well um but it was it it did change the subs did change the games xery and rashford were either Anonymous or just giving the ball away you bring on Rasmus hland straight away almost immediately got a good chance where he probably should have done a little bit better but he’s like okay this is things are starting to happen there was another chance where he could have had a penalty got a goal as well straight that that works and you I’ve been very very critical of he was linking up with ammad he sort of brought the best out of Amad if you will as well so I have to give him credit for that Mason Mount I want amount to succeed I want to see that player that we’ saw when he first burst onto the scene when he first or when he first got into the England side and when he helped Chelsea win the Champions League we haven’t seen it yet but there’s a lots of light there you can see that he’s a good player we’ve seen glimpses of it we need to see a bit more than glimpses but if he can build on today’s performance if he can show a little bit more of that then there’s every reason to think that Amarin Ruben Amarin will use him we have to sort of be rational about this though this is a team that is a distant second I think in the Czech League that have this identical record as you mentioned to us in the Europa League it’s not like the flying in the Europa League they’ve had three draws and two wins which is okay it’s not terrible but it’s not like unreal so we know that even a misf Manchester City team at the weekend is going to be a much much more difficult opposition than we saw from Victoria pills in tonight and my concern is that if we start on Sunday like we did tonight even with City all at C we’ll be in trouble because you can’t afford to give the ball away to people like o and Ireland and not think you’re going get punished and that’s what worries me I think United have got to sort of build on that last half an hour and look at the players that did perform and Ruben am’s got to go right no more experimenting for this one what is my strongest possible team for the Manchester Derby not what they’ve done for tag or for anyone else what have they done for me who the players that are in form who the players that I can rely on and at the minute I think you’ve got to start Rasmus hland I think obviously we know mazra and amalo and Bruno they’re going to start I’d like to see you start as well I think he will and I’d like to see kobby Mayu come back into that team and I think that’s your sort of your strongest team I want to ask you defensively what you made of it because you had I think was it a back three of mazra delit and and Martinez I spoke about Martinez in particular before the game I love L Andro minz when we had to pick three players we thought who could be you know could shine under ran am him he was one of the ones I chose he still doesn’t look like the L Angel Martinez we saw in that first season though what you of it I don’t think he was he was great today I I think he did a lot of good things I think that and not to just obviously I’m not blaming all this on him because he wasn’t even on that side for for a lot of the game but I think sometimes our build out from the back today D really struggled to to carry on that buildup play I think a lot so often when the ball went to doow the defense then had a job to do afterwards and it brought out the worst in some of them at times even masra in the first half it was okay but he didn’t have that same Swagger that we we noticed with him and that he had in the second half I think Martinez looked a lot better second half two or three times he played that drilled ball into Hyland’s feet that just wasn’t sticking when it was XY and he he’ take a touch and he’d lose it or you know holand was had the option to roll his man as well that xery I just don’t think he has that he hasn’t got the pace for that he hasn’t got that kind of you know fast body that can roll his his Center back and get a shot away um that we saw from holand so I don’t think he was he was particularly good tonight Martinez I don’t think he was bad um I just think that when the rest of the team didn’t look good neither did he but like I said neither did mazeri neither did delit um and yeah Dow had a another poor game today which was a worry for me so many times he got the ball and lost it and I think especially when you’re playing out from the back like being adventurous and creative is brilliant but before any of that you have to be secure you have to be stable on the ball because you’re never going to get control of a game if every time the ball comes to or you know 50% of the time the balls come to you you’re taking risks that are you know hurting your chances of playing out from the back and I feel like he did that too often there’s someone I think we need to give a shout out to today I think Bruno Fernandez when because because we’re so used to him as this goals and assists machine and he did get an assist today so you know maybe I’m contradicting myself a little bit it’s like he’s only judged by goals and assists he’s playing a different role he’s playing deeper his energy and work rate today was amazing like in the first half he was one of the few players linking things together he did that lovely little rabona pass to rashford but obviously that’s not doesn’t make a full game but second half he really stepped up with everyone else and there’s that one point that ball that played was played in behind and he’s sprinting full stretch Sprint at like 80 minutes into the game to win the ball back and I just think like he does it every single week and we take it for granted I think with Bruno and if he don’t get in a goal and assist then he must have been crap and he wasn’t crap he was really really good today as was casemiro um who before he came off put in a very solid shift um but yeah the whole game just changed when those subs happened and I think that it does show like you said before who he can start to trust and who he is sort of you know there are more question marks than ever about I think um Ahmad is someone who we can definitely trust I think Mount is is slowly pushing himself on the list of obviously needs to improve but the whole team were different when he came on the energy he brought to the game and the sort of the touches went that he brought to the game lifted everyone um much better from Mount today than the weekend yeah much better I thought the weekend he came on didn’t do anything no um but today he did I think the mount is definitely he’s on that sort of JW’s out working progress what you want to call it like we I think we’ll see over the next few months we know there’s a player there we just have to see it and I think for am if I’m looking at Mason Mount I’m thinking I’m this could go either way yeah I’m looking at I go it could be my guy it fits that profile that 10 that I would want but is he that guy do you know if that makes sense love some of his runs off the ball to had a couple of shots the but in particular hland has to be our starting number n for me now I don’t I don’t think there’s any debate whether he’s better than xer or better than rashford in in that position he does things that no one else does he he acts like a center forward the two goals he scored today for two different reasons were phenomenal the first one just it wasn’t a great finish it was a scruffy goal he needs to start scoring more goals like that he did it last week and he’s done it again this week I loved that he scored that goal and the second one I don’t think anyone else does that rashford can do that on his day where he rolls his man but I don’t think xeri can and on that left side Center back behind you that Lukaku style one touch and smack it across goal that’s brilliant and that’s the sort of goal that he’s sort of growing into bit by bit and all of a sudden now he’s creeping up into you know pushing double digits for his goals this season I think he’s got eight maybe now like it’s it’s inching towards him looking like a proper Striker and I think that’s a position for me where if he’s fit and he’s ready I think he has to start there going forward I agree Pete Marshall who’s been a member of the academy for 11 months says good result after a very shaky start Mount was good gave was the energy we needed Raz and Zed just seem bogged down in quicksand uh Marcus says Martinez was poor again tremble L says should Ahmad start as a right wing back or as one of the number 10 against City Joseph discuss um I’d start him as a wing back I want yeah I want the I want a bit more energy in front of him I think as well I I don’t know because D probably play left wing back won’t he because he probably won’t put massia there but I think Dow could do the rest to be honest I think he looks sluggish and mistake prone most weeks if he does one of them against Manchester City honestly that’ll I’ll lose my mind um Ralph XD in the Super Chat says I was at the game it was extremely cold today I think the players weren’t ready for the conditions in the first half Subs helped and our goal numbed the atmosphere happy to see United win in person always love a nice European away well done my brother um matus Maho says rashford needs to be sold can only players ATT 10 in this system and he’s hit at it I think that’s me say [ __ ] at it sadly the same will probably happen with gacho Jimmy says hland is a clear clinical goal scorer he just needs more opportunities presented to him can easily score 20 plus a season I want to see him get 20 goals this season I think like Benchmark is there for him there for the Tak in uh Marina Freer says Amad and M are the only Amarin style of players they will 100% stay the others need to work hard if they want to stay I think there’s a there’s a point here that a lot of the players are still you know you can’t get carried away with a a good half hour against victorya pills we know that so even someone like Ras soand for now he’s definitely that nine yeah in the summer you might go he’s not the guy for me in terms of like is he going to lead land I want Victor garez you don’t know but I think there’s an every opportunity now for him to stay in his team and prove he is that guy and he’s got the tools to do the job Mason Mount could prove to be that guy I think there’s there’s one or two others who are probably playing the way out of the team so it’s not like I’m going right that’s it now these people are they’ve Pro it to them but I think that over the next few weeks you’re going to sort of see more and more uh Ruben Amry sort of relying on a certain group of players we’ll see them playing every game mazra is one of them I think he’s dropped been dropped once yeah he plays all the time Dio’s one I think he’s missed one game so he’s already got a couple players Bruno plays every game so he’s already got a few players where he goes I think the lion have W he seems to play every game where he goes look there there’s three or four who are my guys and I think that might increase over the next few weeks where you get to the point where it’s like nine or 10 start every game and then there’s one or two where he’s you know one day might be Delow next day might be an whatever um but interesting to see what happens um thank you to everyone who’s got be but then you’re looking at some of those mistakes and you’re going okay I don’t know I don’t know whether I you know am I feeling more confident or am I feeling more nervous going into the Manchester D this weekend yeah I I feel about the same I think I think that’s fair it’s sort of what I thought we were which is we don’t we’re not there yet in terms of players they still got a lot of confidence they don’t quite understand the system um but I like I like what we saw last 15 20 minutes by the end United were comfortable winners there we probably should have scored another goal or too um and I like that we had those options on the Break um but I I think it is going to be a little bit of football on the break against City so yeah I I it was disappointing the first half but not really I didn’t really learn a lot if you know what I mean yeah Lauren Rose he’s been a member of the academy for 21 months says is it just the case of Mount trying to get back into it after his injury I can’t watch the games to genuinely it’s difficult to tell at the minute because he’s had so many fits and starts with his injuries obviously now you’ve got you know this is his third manager this season like it’s hard to assess anyone I think we’ve just got to wait and see and I just think he’s done himself a favor tonight after the weekend we needed to see more from him we’ve seen more from him so I’m hoping that we’ll see a bit more from him as the weeks progress and hopefully he can be the guy that we we want him to be uh going to leave it there thank you to everyone who got
