TCU and Santa Clara uh that is going to be the next game up on the docket uh Matt Cox put this one on the sheet and informs me it’s in Palm Springs where I think there are 57 different teams playing on the different floors they have at that Convention Center Matt Cox so TCU laying three and a half the total here is 1472 what Drew you to this game young man on a Thanksgiving Thursday afternoon one Pacific Time start coming up on Thanksgiving afternoon to TCU Santa Clara yeah wor I might be storn here trying to ride the Broncos for I think the third or fourth time this season um just a terrific meltdown last game against Stanford a game they were up 10 to the half they had that game won Jaylen Blakes hits a game-winning shot at the buzzer uh on the heels of 10 days before that they were up I think 17 against North Dakota State blew that game lost in overtime so I mean this Santa clar team should be sitting at 4-2 you know with a pretty good resume wins over you know St Louis uh you know Arizona State I think it’s been better than people thought it’s a very talented team it’s a team that doesn’t quite look um cohesive right now but it’s I think it’s going to get there and maybe you start to see some signs of that that light bulb flick on today against a TCU team that frankly I think is kind of a um is kind of a house of cards they’re without their big guy UD up front I think they look very small they don’t have the same Rim pressure the same physical athletic specimens that made them so dangerous the last couple of Seasons that’s where they were so good in transition they get out and just run uh and put pressure on the rim Santa Clara the size at The Rim they have is substantially greater than what TCU has I think in a neutral sight game if there is any weird shooting sideline issues people aren’t making shots you then you like to back the team with a little bit of a rebounding Edge and I certainly believe the Broncos have one here um the Broncos problem as perer defense is is keeping people in front they’ve seen guards go by them they’ve had some Communication Breakdown I just don’t really trust tcu’s guards enough to to exploit that um I’m taking what I think is the better team here uh by a nose again sort of like Jeff said uh taking the slightly better team catching three bonus points on a neutral so that’s my handicap there all right interesting first game in this environment for these teams again in Palm Springs here TCU whacked alorn State on Tuesday night just you know less than 48 hours ago traveled to Palm Springs yesterday all right Jeff Nao any thoughts here including maybe something on the total I mean I I think in a short season I mean it seems like already Santa CLA is Battle tested I mean they played a couple of neutral sites the beginning the year up at South Dakota beat St Louis and then you know the the tops kind of falling off with this group um but as Matt’s alluded to outside of Nevada they’ve all been close games um so they are kind of battle test and I think they’re catching a TCU team who you know we haven’t seen too much from I mean quite frankly and in their only step-up game they lost by double digits they’re not not a good free throw shooting team they don’t do a lot of things that I’m looking for and as he alluded to um I’m just kind of you know mid on uh TCU if you will I I just don’t really like them that much I don’t think they’ve done much so far this season they really wen’t being over let’s say a three-point bucket on a neutral I don’t see it I like sendek I like ball I think he’s a terrific player uh I think their battle test I think that will help them here I I lean his way as well it’s not a game I’ll be betting but be rooting for Matt and he’s had a good season so why not hey I’m 0 two my last two though Jee I’m starting to Tail Spin here but TJ just something to note on this game TCU has not played since last Tuesday it’s like one of the longer layoffs you’ve seen of any team at this point in the year I think that’s kind of a you know rest is good but there’s an inflection point where it’s like I think rest turns to rust at some point I think you might see and and my Tuesday was last Tuesday so you’re right right exactly will they be stale in this afternoon spot by the way this is a pod of a tournament the other game in the Pod is Washington and Colorado State later in the afternoon Pacific time so the winner of this will get the winner of Washington and Colorado State Matt Cox believes that’s going to likely be Santa clir in fact he’s going to take the three and a half points here on the neutral floor with the Broncos and you did mention Jeff na briefly herb synek the former NC State and Arizona State coach is the coach out in the uh the WCC for Santa Clara again that game this afternoon on True TV we normally only have to find true TV during the NCA tournament as one of the Turner cable Outlets but they’ve got this tournament going on uh this afternoon and that’s where you will find that game one [Music]
