Jacob it seems like you’re always around the football in two big turnovers late what your immediate reaction um just glad we won I mean turnovers are huge and percentages to win the game especially in a close game like that at the end that’s huge to kind of Swing the momentum and you know put some points up on the board for us was nice what was the adjustment like SE Smith at quarterback and Bowman uh who started most of their games yeah I mean they play similar but I mean true freshman he came in he did a really good job know I we didn’t really have a lot of answers um we end up figuring it out but I me we got to work on they can’t have put up 48 points so we got to work on that for sure um but just kind of stressing effort to the ball I think um a lot of the stuff that he did was really well but I think could have been prevented with more effort to the ball I see like 90% of the game there was like no turnover scores for okahoma State you guys need get the two big late guess how big of a momentum shift was that for you guys and maybe a breath of relief knowing that you get the maybe the fumble in the end zone yeah it’s nice um I wouldn’t say breath of relief I think it’s kind of one of those where we were due for one and when we knew it we talked about it the whole time on the sideline and so we were kind of always you know searching to take it away and so I think that just helps us uh especially helps out our offense cuz we weren’t doing that very much this game but um I think when it mattered we were able to get the job done bar did you ever watch the Oklahoma versus Texas Tech Patrick Mahomes versus Baker game did this feel a lot like that uh yeah I mean it did um you know just kind of the ball rolled that way tonight um you know there’s a lot of explosives tonight which is always fun um you know I thought we did a good job on offense of just you know doing the little things right not trying to do too much um you know very pleased with the way we played uh I think we still left a lot out there um so there’s there’s still a lot of lot to correct for sure seven of the eight touchdowns tonight either touch you or Baron’s hand or you or taj’s hands what what was working especially for both of you tonight yeah I mean kitley did a great job of getting us into the right plays um and then and I just try to you know give our guys a chance you know just you know get the ball to The Playmakers and let them do the do the work um you know the Playmakers played great tonight uh I thought we played well at front um we ran the ball we needed to run it um you know very pleased you know with our effort tonight on that side of the ball early in the week we kind of spoke with Coach about the offense starting hot and then especially there in the early stage of the second half is where you guys have as of late kind of caught a all a little bit when did you know tonight that that you guys are on no matter what yeah I mean after the you know the interception I threw um you know I kind of just told the guys you know we’re not losing this game um and so you know we just kind of rallied back and from then on you know it was kind of you know we’re going to put Drives together whether it’s a three-play drive or 13pl drive um so I’m really really pleased you know just with you know making the first down on third down um you know the little stuff like that that matters um you know I thought we did a good job with that talk about your run late in the game to get that big first down yeah I mean they they had a light box um you know we ride the guys out um you know to have an extra blocker with Tage we had an extra um so it was perfect I mean coach kitley you know with a great play call um he said just sell you know like you’re throwing throwing throwing a route and then just take off and find it um so trying to trying to be like my boy TB but I’m I’m not looking like that yet first winning season on the road for with under Joy McGuire what is this really mean for the the future of this town man yeah it means everything I mean the culture that we’re building here um you know it’s something that we firmly believe in and you know the the guy that’s running it all is you know coach Maguire and the way he gets us ready to play um I don’t think there’s a head coach in the country that does that better than him um you know so just that was a big culture win for us um you know moving forward we got senior night um so you know get some momentum rolling in that game coach kind of had his pitch for challge to win the do Walker do you have one point I mean I can go on and on about that guy um you know we we we knew that you know they’re going to play Man coverage tonight so we couldn’t get them as many touches we wanted to um you know but that guy man every reward he deserves for sure I mean the guy comes in to work every single day and treats everyone the same whether it’s janitor or it’s you know anyone else on the team uh you know Taj is the same guy every single day and uh you know I really appreciate having him with us Jacob what’s going through your mind on the Scramble for the ball with In The End Zone um just run to the ball you know good things happen when you run to the ball and so kind of popped out I know it happened earlier here in the uh in the game um kind of bad snap same thing happened and they were able to recover it but um yeah just trying to go and find the ball at the end uh after your interception looked like you had some open field but you could have returned it away but you’re just playing it safe and don’t be greedy yeah I thought about you know scoring but um we we work those situations um to be able to get down and just get the ball back to our offense I think the best playing football is victory for me so um we’re able to do that and uh you know put the game away anything else for these guys all right
