the Dodgers just signed Blake Snell are you serious I am inevitable and [Music] I dodge your baseball looks like the Dodgers have a message for everybody this Thanksgiving you have a lot to be thankful for well if you’re a Dodgers fan if not go yourself damn harsh message from them but they got to respect how committed to winning they are and scottb too we got to mention that I mean this man saw the crap we all gave him last off seon and we all laughed thinking he was done thinking his run of being a dominant agent getting his clients the biggest contracts was over although little did we all know bro was in his LeBron era now add Blake Snell do an already Elite starting rotation for the Dodgers the contract is for $182 million over the course of 5 years with a $52 million signing bonus and some of the money will be deferred the Dodgers are at it again folks now 182 million over 5 years is this an overpay maybe but damn it this is still great for the Dodgers Snow’s biggest issue overall is his ability to go deep into games and his lack of control a lot of the time walking so many hitters but overall the man is disgusting his stuff is just pure filth this guy has two saong Awards one in each league and even through some tough times in his career he’s powered through to stay on top as an ace 2019 through 2021 was the biggest worrisome part of his career when his innings were limited because of elbow issues and after getting traded to the Padres snow wasn’t bad but he did regress a little bit and also spent some time in the injured list but at a much better 2022 even with his Innings limited again and this is where things get strange and I don’t mean in a bad way necessarily it just shows how unpredictable this Market can be because after going out and winning the Sayang Award with the Padre’s his second time winning the award now in 2023 Blakes now would have had an easier time getting his hands on the Jeffrey Epstein lightless than a big contract and on the surface that sounds crazy he just won his second sa young how is he not getting interest for a big contract he reportedly turned down a $150 million deal from the Yankees and then ended up settling with the Giants for one year obviously not what he was hoping for and everyone blamed his agent Scott Boris including one of his own clients Jordan Montgomery who went through the same thing Snell did and later left his agency and blamed him on the way out but Snell that man saw the vision he was like no this Boris guy’s got it even defend ending Boris to combat Montgomery’s comments publicly calling him an honorable man and him getting bashed wasn’t right and it was sad Montgomery thinks the way he does toward Boris and well it looks like snow was right things didn’t look great to begin his time with the Giants though because he signed on so late into spring training he had the delay a starts of the Season came back and immediately was awful giving up 15 runs in three April starts and had an RA over 11 after only five starts through April and May and making only one start in June all this because of injuries so through the first half of the Season Snell’s made just six starts and has been really really bad things are obviously not looking great and you got to wonder if Scott Boris ruined this man’s career nope again he saw the vision and that Vision was making 14 starts in the final three months and pitching to a 1.23 er to end the year striking out 15 hitters in a game against the Rockies and then somehow one uping that and throwing a no hitter in his next start all in the middle of this amazing run to end the year yeah snow said suck on that and entered the free agent market yet again as a top arm but here’s where I go back to what I said about the market being weird not many teams were willing to give snell a big contract even though he was just coming off a sa Young Award and it was pretty obvious as to why though yeah he’s great but the walk issues and lack of ability and going deep into games wasn’t a good long-term thing to commit to for really any team well this off season snow got what he wanted it all worked out in the end all the mess of last off off season and having to settle for such a short-term little deal he got the big contract that he was going for this entire time and it was to the very team everyone not affiliated with the Dodgers wanted it to be with we immediately got a couple reactions from players like Michael Harris on the Braves and Vinnie pasquantino on the Royals the Dodgers man might as well call them the tape McCrae at this point with how greedy they are holy God it’s never going to end and I love how this is the first big move of the off season too they just won the world series Yankees fans still haven’t been able to process what happened with their therapists and the Dodgers are like bam Blake Snell let’s get it and honestly I love it now yeah I get it okay boo the Dodgers get everyone oh boo but why boo again and it was in the same way when they signed Otani and Yamamoto you do realize literally every other team out there has the same ability to spend like the Dodgers have been spending right apparently the Giants and blue jays even offered 700 million to show like the Dodgers did he just chose them like I get the idea of hating a team because they’re good and you’re a Padre’s fan or whatever but my take is if you’re going to complain or point fingers at anyone blame your team’s owner don’t blame the Dodgers for being the best and doing everything they can to stay the best I mean it just drives me nuts because I think we can all agree that teams being cheap and pinching pennies is bad right nobody wants that right okay so why get mad at the Dodgers for doing the complete opposite of that yell at your own owner for not signing Blake Snell something he also could have done and also I don’t know where this idea came from that that it’s a rule that the Dodgers are the only team who can have these contracts with deferred money that’s what you would think seeing what people are saying acting like this is exclusive to the Dodgers what is the issue any team can do what the Dodgers are doing every one of them if you don’t like it stop it sign the players away from the Dodgers so Blake Snell now joins Sho Otani Yoshi noi Yamamoto and Tyler glasow and the Dodgers rotation there’s a very slim chance those four are all healthy enough to be there all year at once but for now just let Dodger fans dream and everyone else shiver in fear the Dodgers are the kings of baseball right now and if for whatever reason you forgot or thought otherwise they struck up the first big move of the off season coming off a World Series for Blake Snell just to make
