Hollywood Brown this comes from NFL Network Ian raport putting out uh this update today saying that brown is putting in excellent work in rehab and should prove sooner rather than later that his first season with the Chiefs is far from over now this is a week remove from a previous update uh from a different outlet that said uh that he was making some Pro progress there rap report also gave some more explanations saying this uh mares Hollywood Brown the electric wide receiver who was among the biggest Acquisitions of the 2024 off season is expected to be back soon from his pre-season shoulder injury and sources say it’s likely that he plays before the regular season ends Brown has an appointment in week 15 with his surgeon to potentially gain final clearance for sources at that point of all goes well he’s expected to be at back on the practice field and could even play in weeks 16 or 17 um and you know you go back to week 12 Jonathan Jones of CBS Sports struck an optimistic tone talking about Brown’s recovery saying that he could play as early as Christmas was his report which would be week 17 against the Pittsburgh Steelers uh which also could have some post-seed indications so to kind of you know tie this all in here when the inii injury initially happened everything we were told was postseason postseason postseason and if the Chiefs get a first round by then yeah divisional round would be kind of the target date we’ be looking at here now as we’ve gotten further along and got these updates from rap sheet and Jonathan Jones the end of the regular season is looking more likely now obviously believe it we see we’ll see what it happens but all signs point to this is headed the right direction and if you recall when they initially initi when the injury initially I can’t speak happened um The Hope was that H you know he’ll be out a few weeks whatever it may be but then ended up having surgery so that was a setback that pushed him back to where he is now right now that hopefully he’s fully healthy and recovered that yes you waited a long time but you’ve done it the right way to get him back so to me I I think that’s a very important thing here is that the Chiefs they’re not rushing into this they’re making sure that he is all the way there they’re doing what they need to do and it was a risk involved right when the injury happened what’ you do next you brought in Ju guu we know about the trade for DeAndre Hopkins that occurred uh you lost Rashid rice for the season at one point so all this being said here everything has been a risk of how they were going to approach things with this wide receiver room without Maris Brown and now we fast forward to Here we are now and they’re doing it the right way and he said to make his return even about this Chief’s offense entering 2024 the theme was that this Chief’s offense the receiving core would take this offense up another level because what we’ve seen with the lack thereof a receiver after Tyreek Hill left and the way things have gone down the last couple of years that you know momes has been kind of limited of what he could do in the vertical passing game his ability to stretch the field and bring in Hollywood Brown the thought was that he would be the best vertical threat the Chiefs have had since Tyreek Hill would bring that vertical threat back into the Chiefs offense and now with uh Hollywood Brown making his return and adding down Andre Hopkins of course to the fold Juju of course has had his moments he’s looked okay at times Travis Kel’s been good Noah gray has had a breakout season this year I mean it’s it’s setting up things pretty nicely for this postseason run and what I love too about this with Maris Brown of getting him back for the regular season for the the end and then in time for the postseason is it’s a little tuneup period right you get to to really get the wheels turning and make sure that he’s in a Groove for the postseason and fully ready to go remember what Andy was saying when they were talking about potential trades at the trade deadline he said hey you know we might do something but it’s going to take guys a couple weeks to catch up to speed and get acclimated to what we do Hollywood Brown not having played a regular season game for Kansas City yes he knows the offense but just coming back from injury and first time in a Chief’s uniform in a meaningful game is going to take a little bit of time to catch up to and so for Hollywood to get him back for the into the regular season in theory he should be fully ready for that postseason run at that point there so that is huge for this Chiefs team to get not Hollywood just coming back fresh from injury but a couple weeks to really be there and ready to go and with Peko back into the fold now and we saw Pacho get what was it seven carries this past week I expect his workload to go up I don’t think Kareem Hunt is going to fade to black either um and adding Hollywood Brown DeAndre Hopkins has looked pretty dang good this Chiefs offense for all of you all the naysayers the haters and losers out there that keep saying this Chief team isn’t very good they’re not playing like they should be you know and and you know they’re just not playing their full potential I’ve been of the belief I’ve said this for weeks I’ll continue to preach the choir we have every reason to think the chief’s best football is ahead of them just watch out folks believe me when I say this I think The Best Is Yet To Come for this kany Chiefs offense get these guys back healthy get guys like PCO and Maris Brown up to speed and you can put your best foot forward when you’re looking at the playoffs at this point so for me that’s that’s an exciting thing for this Chiefs team of what they’re going through right now how much do you expect out of Maris Brant do you expect much out of him I think he can play a significant role I really do and especially come playoff time here’s one thing I think about folks I if you need a comparison to think about remember for years Sammy Watkins remember Samy he struggled to stay healthy his entire time in Kansas City but Sammy Watkins was money in the postseason Samy might end up getting in the Ring of Honor someday based on his his uh postseason performances I think mares Brown although we haven’t heard from him all year just by what he could potentially bring to this offense and being that missing piece to take this offense another level that it could be that Sammy Watkins type of effect to this Chiefs office offense I think that he could be that much of a difference maker I if if the Chiefs get a Sammy Watkins effect at a Maris Brown I’ll be thrilled everybody should be thrilled do you expect much out of Maris Brown why for yes and
