there is only one division in all of football that has two teams with double digigit wins and it’s the NFC North the Detroit Lions are 12 and one and they are without a doubt one of the best teams in football they went to the NFC championship game in 2023 and the expectations for that team heading into 2024 was very much Super Bowl or bust and they have positioned themselves to go to the first Super Bowl in franchise history based on the first 13 games the other team is one you may not have expected and it’s the Minnesota Vikings if you would have said heading into the season that Sam darnold would be playing at an MVP level and that the Vikings would be 11-2 through the first 13 games you would have been laughed at as nobody would have believed it not even the most loyal Die Hard Vikings fans the Green Bay Packers who went to the divisional round of the playoffs last year are 9 and four and despite being a few games back in the division they are a very good team too and I don’t think anyone would be surprised if they went to the Super Bowl now the Bears well the Bears are 4-9 and are unfortunately coming off of a 38 to13 loss to the 49ers but they still very much play a part in today’s video and simply put the future of the NFC North is unreal and in today’s video we’re going to break down why the NFC North is the best division in football and why the four teams in the NFC North are also in a great position to have future success now let’s begin and we are starting today’s video by discussing the Chicago Bears I know the Bears are 4- n and are coming off of seven straight losses and haven’t won a game since before their week seven by but I do believe in the long-term vision for this team with one stipulation of course and we’ll get to that in a minute the Bears final four games are at Minnesota home against the Lions home against the Seahawks and at the Packers and to be completely honest I would be surprised if they don’t finish the year 4 and 13 but I do think there is a lot to believe in with the Bears future for a couple of reasons they will have three top 50 Selections in the 2025 NFL draft because they still the Panthers second round pick from the Bryce Young trade and when they address the offensive line whether it be in free agency the draft or both this team will inevitably get better the Bears have over $80 million in cap space and whenever teams talk about capitalizing in a window with a quarterback and a rookie contract the Bears are in that window right now and they need to capitalize this off season by bringing somebody like a Trey Smith from the chief over who is a kick rear ends and take names later player they could easily pay him and what also benefit f the Bears is not only having Caleb Williams on the rookie scale contract but also having receiver Rome adun on the rookie scale contract adun is coming off of a two touchdown game in San Francisco and I know when he scored the touchdowns at least with how the game was being played at that point but R is on pays for a 765 yard rookie season and he has two 100 yard games on the year so I do think there is enough to build on entering year two I also really liked Rome as a receiving Prospect and I thought one of his weaknesses as a prospect was being in in the same class as Marvin Harrison Jr and Malik neighbors I love the future with this Duo and the good news for the Bears is they have enough assets to draft somebody like Will Campbell from LSU or even trade up to go get him because again the Final Four game stretch for the Bears is awful with the amount of injuries te Jenkins has sustained through the first few years of his career I would be surprised if they make a big effort to retain him when he unfortunately can’t stay on the field I realized the Bears got carved up against the ners in week 14 and week 14 was brutal for them but if this team makes the right hire at head coach and they hire somebody like a Mike frabel or a Ben Johnson then I really really like where this franchise is headed and that by the way is the big stipulation I know there’s a lot of concerns with ownership and Kevin Warren and the people making the decisions and I get it but I think there is enough push back and enough outside voices to where the Bears may actually listen to what people have to say for once in their franchise history if they make a mistake and hire the wrong head coach like they did by keeping Eber Flo when the rumor was General Manager Ryan PES wanted to let him go and hire Jim Harbaugh then the future of the Bears is a lot more Bleak I mean obviously but from where they are right now and with what can be done this off season the Chicago Bears are in a very good position to build the offensive line and seriously compete in 2025 right now this team has three division losses by 7even total points I know they’re 4-9 but this is not a bad football team the Green Bay pack ERS are up and this team’s future is bright for several reasons but the first one we’ll dive into is the quarterback position it’s a lot easier said than done to go from one Hall of Fame quarterback to a quarterback whose future is very bright and I mean a lot easier said than done look at the Patriots for example the Packers transition from Aaron Rogers to Jordan love seamlessly and it’s because they had a plan for not just an offseason not something they just threw together but for something they had molded for several years and Jordan took over in 2023 and has been a great player for them since obviously he’s had his ups and downs and obviously he’s had a couple of very bad plays and the Rams pick six comes to mind but more often than not the Packers win games and it’s because they are a great and a well-run team and honestly it starts from the top down I really think at head coach conversations that Matt laflor is a little underrated and I think he is definitely one of the best head coaches in the league and their front office is also really well-run and it’s because they do things right they protect the players and they give the players large contracts but they also protect the team and that’s huge when it comes to team building there’s a reason they were able to sign both Josh Jacobs and Xavier mckin and there’s a reason both players have proved to be very good free agent signings while also keeping the team protected in case either player starts to play bad during the course of their contract that way the team and the organization is protected too Josh Jacobs is 26 years old and he’s already over a, yards and 11 touchdowns on the season which is tremendous production for a running back but again he is an older running back despite being just 26 years old and the Garen he’s for Jacob’s contract really run out after this year and if he has a bad year in 2025 they can cut him and he’s off the books in 2026 and Beyond despite him being under contract through the 2027 season Xavier mckin is of course one of the best safeties in the league and again this team is really well-run from the top down and what also has to be remembered with the Packers roster right now is they are a very very young roster it’s not a couple of 34 yearolds carrying everybody else this team is one of the youngest in the league and they are the youngest offense in the league and I know Jordan love is technically a veteran at this point because he was drafted all the way back in 2020 but he turned 22 years old in November of his rookie season and he’s only about 9 months younger than Josh Jacobs and he’s really only a year or two years at most older than guys like Tucker craft Jaden Reed Tavian Wicks Romeo dobs and you get the point and I also think Tucker craft is on his way to being one of the best tight ends in the league and when people talk about the next generation of tight ends rightfully so they talk about Brock from the Raiders as he is having a tremendous rookie season and honestly an all-time generational rookie season at the tight end position but I think Tucker craft is a very very good player and we’ve really started to see him come out and come out of his shell over the past couple of weeks and I wouldn’t doubt that he has double- digit touchdowns in 20124 one of the biggest recipes for success in the NFL is having a good head coach quarterback and owner and obviously the Packers ownership situation is different than the other 31 other NFL teams but they have all three down and there’s a reason they are successful year in in here out their defense is also much improved from 2023 doing large part to the change defensive coordinator going from Joe Barry to Jeff Halley and if you would tell somebody at the beginning of every NFL season as the night kicks off in September that the Packers are going to the Super Bowl nobody would bat an eye and it’s because they are a very successful organization year in and year out and obviously with Jordan love Matt laflor and everybody else they have on their roster I have no doubt this team will make the playoffs more often than not especially now that there’s seven teams going to the playoffs every year more often than not and it’s because they are a really really well-run organization the Detroit Lions are obvious as to why they have a great future they have absolutely nailed the NFL draft over the past few years and the 2024 lions are a shiny example as to why teams build through the draft it goes back to 2021 when a tackle Prospect from Oregon fell to the number seven pick by the name of pan Su for any fantasy players I know the Lions have several great skill position players like jir Gibbs David Montgomery a mon Ros St Brown Sam leapa and Jameson Williams but those guys having the years they’re having it all starts UPF front pan is a tone Setter in the trenches and he is not allowed a sack in all of 2024 and sometimes people wonder about how the quote unquote generational prospects do once they get to the NFL and pan has more than lived up to the hype Su is already a multiple Time pro bowler and was a first team all proo in 2023 and while the NFL hasn’t announced the Pro Bowl list for 2024 yet I will say pan is going to be a pro bowler this year too and I would be surprised if he’s not at minimum a second Team all pro also no Lions fans that’s not a subtle shot of me saying they’re not going to the Super Bowl so pan can play in the Pro Bowl that’s not what I meant my point is this team has done everything the right way and they are one of the best teams in football for a reason it was pan and amanra in 2021 Hutch J Kirby Joseph and Malcolm Rodriguez in 2022 and four insane picks in the top 50 in 2023 and here here we are now with the liance at 12-1 looking to be the number one seed and have the NFC run through the Motor City And for those who may not know the four picks in the top 50 in 2023 were jir Gibbs Jack Campbell Sam lorta and Brian Branch who has emerged as one of the best offensive backs in football the only thing that I think will trip this team up aside from the sheer amount of injuries they’ve had in 2024 especially defensively is when it’s time for everyone to get paid they paid pan Aman raah and Jared goof the offseason and hush will get paid at some point but when it’s time to pay everyone somebody will either get traded for draft picks or the quality depth on this team will get paid elsewhere in free agency but even at that point the talent will still be amongst the best in the league and I absolutely trust what Brad Holmes and Dan Campbell are doing they have earned the benefit of the doubt by the play they put on the field as this team is 24 and six in the regular season since the start of the 2023 season Jared gof has 25 passing touchdowns on the year to 10 interceptions and it is definitely worth noting five game in one game so outside of one bad game against Houston in which they still won by the way he’s been a really good player and whether it’s through the air or on the ground they can beat you in any way they want the Lions have ran for over a 100 yards in every single game this season and they are positioned for success for both the short and long term we mentioned money earlier that could get in the way and coordinators leaving the Lions and being head coaches elsewhere could hurt too but again this roster is Absol abolutely loaded the lions are the definition of going from the out housee to the penthouse and they were by preseason pick to go to the Super Bowl and not surprisingly they still are this is an elite football team the Minnesota Vikings are up and they are in a unique situation though I think their future is definitely bright for a couple of reasons if you would have said back in August that the Minnesota Vikings would be 11-2 through 13 games Sam darnold would legitimately be in the MVP conversation with 28 touchdowns to 10 interceptions and that the Vikings would be one of the best teams in all of football there is a 0% chance anybody would have believed you and to be completely honest as a Vikings fan I was hoping for an 8- n or 9 and8 year and that JJ McCarthy would take over after the week five by and obviously things went wrong when JJ unfortunately was out for the year with knee injury and after JJ was out with a knee injury my initial thoughts were great this is going to be pretty much a wasted year hopefully Justin Jefferson sticks around and does not one out after this year because this is probably going to be a long year here maybe 6 and 11 maybe 7- 10 and I am glad to say that I was extremely wrong about this team the Vikings have a very bright future for a couple of reasons and I think the number one reason that it starts with is head coach Kevin oconnell it is cliche at times to say culture is a big part of NFL locker rooms but I think Kevin oconnell definitely proves how much culture and how much belief can impact an NFL locker room but you can see week in and week out how much energy how much passion and how much effort the Vikings play with and there’s a reason they are 11-2 the Vikings also did really really well in free agency this year and it’s not just because of Sam darnold although he obviously plays a big part and it’s not every year where a team signs an MVP caliber quarterback in free agency for the measley price of $10 million they also signed Jonathan grard who entered week 14 leading the NFL and pressures and they also signed Andrew van GLE who is a very very underrated player and by being able to sign grard van GLE and of course Blake hashman the defense transformed seemingly overnight all of these guys are relatively Young and the Vikings also have JJ McCarthy with a red shirt GE and there’s a couple of reasons that I think the Vikings future is bright with or without Sam darnold in the future again if you would have said that Sam darnold would be an MVP candidate nobody would have believed you and with Kevin oconnell playing a big part in transforming Sam darnold and being this player consistently because Sam obviously had flashes as a jet and he had those big 90 plus yard touchdowns of Robbie Anderson way back in the day and there were certainly plays where Sam darnold would make where he would say okay this guy clearly has talent but he’s obviously not that player on a downto down basis I am under the belief that Kevin okono can get the most out of JJ McCarthy especially considering that this was who Kevin okono and quaz AD dafam Mena wanted yes they wanted Drake may but unfortunately New England wouldn’t budge on the number three overall pick but Minnesota ended up drafting both JJ McCarthy and Dallas Turner so at this point I think the trade or the lack of trade has worked out for both franchises the Vikings are a really really well-run organization and with where this team was back in 2021 under Mike simmer and with where they are now Under head coach Kevin oconnell it is quite literally a night and day’s difference there’s not a lot of head coaches around the league that are better than Kevin oconnell and when you factor in there’s a decent amount of holes on this roster despite being 11- two and the fact the Vikings overcome this regularly despite holes along the interior offensive line really the entire defensive line the cornerback room and running back will certainly need to be addressed as Aaron Jones is getting older and is also a free agent after this season I really really like where the Vikings future is headed and especially that they have a lot of money to work with this offseason which is something that they haven’t been able to do over the past really five or six off Seasons because they’ve had to pay a quarterback top five money or really top-of-the-line money in Kurt Cousins and now that they don’t have to pay Kurt Cousins yes they’re going to have to make a decision on Sam darnold but even if they choose to let Sam darnold leave and he goes and gets 45 or 50 million elsewhere they have a backup plan at JJ McCarthy who again I think will prove to be a good quarterback especially under the guidance of Kevin oconnell the point is the Vikings are probably going to have a lot of money to work with if they don’t pay Sam darnold now if they end up going far in the playoffs this year then that’s a completely different conversation because if they go to at least the conference Championship game then I think Sam darnold would probably get at least a franchise tag and that’s the conversation down the line but the point is the Vikings future is incredibly bright and I really really like where this team is headed I hope you enjoyed today’s video and if you did please like And subscribe it’s only about
