fantastic tonight and and thoroughly deserved the win we were just talking R I don’t know if you could hear about the the calmness and composure the manager has brought to the party given the shoes he he had to fill and that seems to transmit onto the pitch as well yeah I I agree with the guys he’s been like really impressive just his interviews I think communication is probably an undervalued and and something that’s not spoken about maybe as much given the importance that he has uh communicating with players but also the media I mean that that is so such an important part of a manager kind of DNA in making sure that he transmits the right type of messages not only in the change room but to the stands and you can see here that the this this set of fans have really bought into what he’s doing but more importantly the players have as well macka Curtis Jones how important has he been because yes M he for England he was absolutely stunning and and tonight did did he play well yes he was excellent again mate they were they were all very good actually but CS really Sean uh again he’s keeping slobers light out of the out of the the team um and he seems as if he’s a main stay now him mallister and graen seem to be the three that he goes to all the time he’s got great energy levels he’s wonderful on the ball as you know he’s got a really nice body shape you’d know that Joe he goes both ways he drops his shoulders his close control is excellent he played further forwards when he was at the under 18s and under 21 level so he scored plenty of goals and he was a very he was a very uh aggressive forward so he can play that role now where he’s sitting and hardly losing the ball he was he was fantastic tonight and um he continues to be so you know expect him in the team because of his energy levels on on Sunday as well you know what really stood out for us watching in shudio we was watching a bit of the game when Connor Bradley smashed into mbappe in the first half it sounded like it sounded like an really lit up there it it felt like one of them big European nights Joe we were sitting there me and G together in the studio and said like not many places in the world where a tackle gets a bigger bigger Ro than a goal and it felt like that here today didn’t it it was if you were outside the stadium you would have thought there was a goal you would I I was just going to ask about Bradley but you you kind of nicked me question Jo no but it was just on like again his performance you got Trent on the bench without you know coming to the end of his contract he stepped up he was against mbappe tonight like how good was he like you watching him live because that is a big moment for him in his career oh yeah Ken he was brilliant I mean he had he had a really good chance to score actually he headed one at curz he was involved in the first goal I mean the only uh blip on the night he he he went off late on and we don’t know whether it was a hamstring injury or whether it was just cramp because he he played such an important part of the game let’s hope it’s the latter but the good thing for Liverpool fans is if it is a hamstring problem Trent was on the bench ton tonight and he’s got what three or four days before the Manchester City game to really tune his Fitness levels back up to where he should be so if it is a haming it’s incredibly unfortunate for Conor Bradley because he’s been superb for club and Country now and he’s a really important member of this squad and Gareth I don’t want to make it all about one player from a real Madrid point of view but you went to Madrid with all the the pressure and price tag and everything that goes with that is kilan mbappe struggling with that um I don’t think he’s struggling in terms of of probably with that obviously has an enormous expectation and and pressure level on him but uh he’s a good enough player to to know how to cope with that I think what doesn’t help is the team’s not playing well because I think it’s not all about one individual you need your teammates to help you along the way and um if the team’s not playing well it’s it’s really not easy to to kind of get your your foot really on the gas and and get rolling like you would like to so um he’s a a worldcast player on on his day the best player in the world in my opinion and um I’m sure when the team starts play well as well and I’m sure his performances will will go up and he’ll be a huge success here the problem is Matt is that they don’t look as if they’re going to get any of their some of their injuries back very anytime soon kaminga went off with a hamstring injury they’re traveling all over the Wales as you as you know you know well super cups they’ve got in in Saudi Arabia they’re going to have to go too soon they got that silly Club World Cup at the end of the season where they’re going to play so they could be playing 75 79 games Real Madrid this year so no wonder everybody’s getting injured and you know poor Ed millit how two AC operations that he’s had in in 18 months I mean that’s devastating for him but it it seems to be it’s coming more and more you know more of an injury this and it just has to be with the six-yard box and you end up all at sixes and seven you get Lads ahead at the front post and you end up with Luca Modric at 39 trying to jump trying Luca Modric was the only player in that who was actually switched on he he actually tried to if you look at GP he must have been thinking how is this happening I’ve got I’ve got the whole goal here just need to watch it guide it onto head lovely but that was just little things like that start to go wrong when you when you’re missing big players like like your milit know you defensively they look very very fragile nothing really seems to phase Carlo angelotti but where’s the eyebrow ometer would you say at the moment it’s probably at seven um but look I think the injury crisis is something that it’s one thing to balance a load of superstars it’s another thing to balance a team where you’ve got holes everywhere um you know you’re quick as Center back milit Towers macka was just saying double acl’s um you know we we mentioned Tony Cross earlier you know someone who can you know allow a team to breathe a little bit you know manage games better instead of having to rely on Luca Modric who you know wasn’t always in the team last season I also think Bellingham I think his role has to it doesn’t have to change but the fact that they’ve now got a striker he was that guy last year he was the guy who filled in for for Benz scored all the goals now he’s having to think actually this Killian and there’s venicius there although venicius didn’t play tonight there’s a lot of things for Carlo to to sort out bellingham’s touches are like significantly lower fewer yeah in the final third and you think about was it 23 goals last season it has affected the whole team hasn’t it and those individual players that you go right who are fit and can be there like even they’re not in the right areas in the right positions that they were thriving in last year so yeah week to week he’s playing in different parts of the pitches need to fill
