discussion the first thing we’re taking a look at is a Scotty Barnes change incoming and this is pretty significant implications because again Scotty barns is a guy that has high expectations Raptor fans have very high expectations for Scotty barns his Improvement what he’s been able to do you know coming into the NBA and things like that but one specifically been the three-point shooting of Scotty Barts how he’s been able to knock down shots how things are going out there on that front and that was the biggest con conc why he fell to number four in his NBA draft now since coming in the NBA especially at the start of last season he has improved really really substantially from a three-point shooting aspect but this season it’s uh fallen down a little bit you can see his three-point shooting percentage is a little bit rough shooting TW more than a little bit rough shooting 27% from behind the three-point line smaller sample size playing this season of course uh dealing with injuries over the course of this year but the one the 12% from corner three three point shooting is a very rough number that is ex very bad that’s the only way to describe it you’re 12% on Corner threes which should be the easiest shot in basketball usually nice spot up Shooters out there in the NBA are shooting you in the mid 40s the 50s even some of the top guys you know from the corner threes and right now Scotty barns is shooting 12% from the corner so the reality is Scotty Barnes has not been at the level that Raptors fans have been hoping for in regards to his three-point shooting and you know recent game he took a lot of shots and that people like why are we let asking Scotty Barts to shoot so many threes why are we getting that stuff and darkar yakovich was specifically questioned about how he feels about Scotty Barnes shooting more threes and should this be a pattern that consistently comes up it consistently pops up and well darkar rakovic had an interesting quote regarding that situation essentially said I’m not comfortable with that number at all shooting seven threes a game I want him to shoot more threes and this is something that got a lot of raptors fans a little bit uh fired up so to speak because again Scotty barns phenomenal basketball player he’s an excellent slasher he can get to the basket he can do a lot of things out there on the basketball court the mans has been a triple double machine over recent weeks and people are looking at this saying hey dark Roy alage why are you encouraging Scotty Barnes to get away from the things that he’s really good at why are you telling him to hoist up more threes when he could be a very very efficient scorer out there in the paint and this is where the Dilemma comes in because and why I’m putting my faith in Darker rakovic because he has been phenomenal developing players developing the young Talent literally everyone on this roster is overperforming in terms of expectations over the course of the Season off the top of my head I can’t think of a guy that’s out here on this Toronto Raptor Squad that with exception of injuries has come into this season and had some expectations and is underachieving everyone is exceeding those expectations which is pretty remarkable for dark Roy Alward so I’m trusting his judgment in terms of how he’s handling the situation but it could go one of two ways one Scotty Barnes telling him to shoot more threes instills that confidence in him because well you know he’s put in a ton of work he’s put in a ton of development he’s put in you know the hours to improve that jump shot he wouldn’t have been shooting as electrifying as he was at the start of last season if he didn’t and dark rakovich saying hey Scotty take more threes do this is just going to instill more confidence in him that green light’s going to allow him to shoot out of this slump shoot out of this Rhythm and then we’re going to get Scotty Barnes on another level I think that’s the game plan and given the in fact it’s your one of a rebuild everyone sort of push it you know to capture that flag and things such as that people are saying hey even if we lose even if effects winning for the short term just get Scotty Barnes into a shooting Rhythm and that’s the way to go but the other Avenue the other way that it could be negative is Scotty Barnes is so good as a slasher as a playmaker driving the lanes and things like that and if you tell him hey you just this game to be more of just an outside spot up three-point shooter that’s going to take away from the things that make Scotty Barnes really special that make him that guy that Raptors fans look at and say again he’s not there just yet but has that star dear I say Superstar upside so again that’s where you got to look at things that’s where you got to look at the dynamic and it is implications in terms of Scotty B’s development in terms of how he’s being utilized and in terms of really just the cealing of this Raptor Squad because if Scotty Barnes can knock down threes at an elite clip at an elite rate this team is going to be extremely tough to stop but it comes with development it comes with rep so I’m appreciative of dark Ro’s approach I think it’s the right course of action but it could lead to some concerning offsides so let me know what you guys think in the comments section down below about that but we have more news to discuss as we have more trade rumors with this Toronto Raptor team and now stuff regarding Chris bue and bue with his contract being expiring is a very tradable deal he’s having a very very solid year for the torona Raptors and he’s a guy that’s been link in trade rumor since he’s joined this Raptor team so again not a name that I think any Raptor fans are going to be surprised to see his name circulate amongst these uh you know the rumor mill entering this trade season we’re still about a week away from or a couple weeks away from trade season December 15th this when all these deals can actually get dealt and things as such but we have some updates in regards to uh some beat reports from New York trying to get these trades to happen so essentially jats is coming out and saying that the New York Knicks are desperate need of Center depth as backup center Mitchell Robinson will continue to be out for at least the next month with an ankle injury Chris bue has more of a forward for has been more of a forward for the Tron Raptors throughout his career but the 6′ n big man can play both power forward and Center as a career Raptor bue holds advantages to Robinson and precious atua uh in his position so he’s better than two of those guys at certain things bue is more durable and athletic than the two bigs that are currently in New York he can push the floor with or without the ball in his hands scoring most of his points in the paint the second uh the second straight for bruche is he’s a three-point shooter you have a 31 years old he’s shooting 30% from three uh this season and although it’s not great Robinson and Chua can’t shoot threes at all acquiring Chris bue to prove more of a dimension uh to the offense and to the next bench so okay that’s uh that sucks to see because we all remember precious cha out here on this roster and he’s a guy that shows a three-point sh potential so it’s it sucks to see that that hasn’t really developed there for New York but Chris bue has had a just an up and down a roller coaster for Toronto Raptor’s career and that’s just the reality of Chris R it’s fitting giving game by game he could be phenomenal or he could be a little bit of a non-factor but this season he’s put up some very good stats for this team averaging 10 points per game 4.5 rebounds shooting now 29% from the three-point line again it varies game by game shooting 36% from the corners is 31 years old and has one year about $1 million left on his contract so he’s a guy that uh you know is very very effective out there on the court for the season he’s been one of the Raptor most consistent most effective six- men out there off the bench for this team so chis bu is going to command some value he going to command some you know attention heading into this year’s trade deadline do I think the Knicks should really bring him as backup center I mean he can play Spot minutes at Center but Chris pet as we all know is not a natural Center he’s a power forward but that’s kind of a a spot filler for Mitchell Robinson and things like that that could fit so again the Knicks do have some dracks they dealt away a ton we’re not getting a first for Chris bu if we get that MSI jury already deserves probably a statue with his history with this team but you know recent Seasons where but he deserves another statue if he can get a first for Chris bue but essentially the Knicks I can see them making a move the Raptors and Knicks have been trade Partners you have recent Seasons there’s always rumors discussions different things popping up with the Knicks and the Raptors being linked at different stuff so even though one team is suing the other but Chris B has been an effective player it’s going to be weird to ever see him not in a Toronto Raptor Jersey but again getting some second round picks maybe getting some young Talent getting you know the the right piece back for Chris buet I’m not against it just giving the timelines because yaka purto is a guy that’s still a vet that you know fits as Raptor core but Cris B is a little bit older and probably would you know right now with his value with what he’s able to provide could get the Raptor something in return one of these trade packages and we have guys like mobo we have guys in the future like CH we have some different players that chis might be in the way of minutes coming for but you know we have Cooper flag coming in so that’s that’s a factor anyways I digress I it will hurt me to see Chris pet ever trade it it’s not a Surefire thing but it does seem like sence point and Kelly Linux at her on this roster and I feel like they gave the Reign to him to be the team’s fat but he has been injured so we’re not sure what’s
