we have some huge Habs trade updates as Pier Le came out and said that David SAR has not had contract negotiations with Montreal saying this is likely his last year with the Habs and he also mentions Mike Mat in trade talks we have to dive into everything pel Le said plus Jesse we have an article coming out in New Jersey with some suggestions that Christian Dvorak or Kaden Primo could be traded to the devils and finally we got an interesting update coming from ska and of Kenny ketov and his comments on demidov all coming up in this episode digest and we’re going to start with a quick K netv mentioned it was just really cool this little interview here they were asking him hey what’s it like for de to score that winner with the Habs brass coming over Kent using attendance and they said can you imagine when you were 19 someone from Washington coming over and he’s like hey can you imagine if I was 36 you know some people starting to think oh CUO netsa be the have’s next two SE no no let no but it is really cool what he had to say saying deab was sitting on the bench he didn’t play he came out and in one moment realized his chance that’s what we’ve come to know and love about toov Jesse even though he’s not getting the minutes we want every single minute he plays on the ice counts and uh it’s really good to see that that’s recognized by his teammates as well staying ready that’s why I have Genny kov loves to play with him gets on the ice doesn’t matter if it’s limited amount of ice time stick on the ice ready to receive a pass and then just sniping it home so he’s been definitely been making kov look good and he just wants to play with with demidov next year like whether it’s ska whether it’s Montreal like we’ve heard this like a couple times now kind of from him like yeah like I just want to play with Vana next year you know and what we’re really seeing is like what he was kind of almost Che like joking at here in this interview is like yeah I was like trying to impress Kent Hughes as well like I want to do I want to get my deal to get over there this is just kind of showing how like Star players will want to play with Ivan Devo it’s starting with ketov you know know but it’s it’s gonna kind of there’s G to be a bigger effect from there we’re already seen that with Montreal which is why we’re really building something special of like for sure before we’re missing those skilled players you inject a l you put a Hudson you put a demidov now into that picture with what we’ll be drafting this year it’s really a lot of the things that you know is really making this team excited for players around the world at this point yeah you know CR capriso is a good Russian player I don’t look if he’s on Minnesota or Montreal I’m happy it’s okay I think he’ll probably stay in Minnesota but we’ll see you’re very right Jesse Stars want to play with this guy he’s fun to play with he creates opportunities not only for himself but for everyone else and he sure seems like a winning player let us know your thoughts in these comments down below it’s pretty interesting but we’re going to quickly move on to an article that I’ll link down below from a New Jersey writers website and they had a couple of suggestions as New Jersey is heading into the trade deadline they’re they’re doing quite solid this year Jesse I mean you know they’re they’re good they’re a great team they got Jack Hughes they got a lot of nice pieces there but uh they could also be active in the trade market and in this article written by Nick valano he mentions three monreal Canadians players the New Jers New Jersey Devils should Target in a trade and the first one I want to bring up is Christian Dvorak he said it’s rare to see a trade work out worse than Dvorak trade you know what you didn’t have to rub it in that’s okay but he said it’s a 28-year-old Center he should be in the middle of his prime so what happened if the Devils feel like there’s something there that isn’t being taken advantage of they can get someone for basically nothing and make something out of it now Christian Dvorak has one of I think he actually is the highest face off percentage of all the the guys who play a lot of Center for Montreal and he also leads the Habs forwards I believe in expected or what it high D chances for which is a bit strange something I didn’t realize he doesn’t look great when he’s on the ice and he is a bit of a leader in the locker room he’s one of Co outfield’s best buddies as we know but Jesse like if a team like New Jersey is willing to take him on probably not at this full cap hit but maybe if Montreal has to retain something or they find a third party to do it I I think if a team’s willing to take him on and Montreal can get anything like even a low draft Pi I wouldn’t be opposed to something like this and I hope he he could find a Resurgence somewhere else yeah definitely the Montreal cans will be open to that I do believe however though that that retention spot will go to David Savar to kind of maximize that return which kind of eliminates the Dvorak trade in that way like if we’re not retaining money on them it’s gonna be a hard sell really to make that happen so unfortunately right like the Dvorak experiment it just hasn’t worked out it’s sometimes kind of better just making one big fire instead of trying to get a couple small things like I think retaining on SAR right now to really get that biggest return is is where we need to to go of course K Hughes is going to be open to any offers though on Dvorak at this time the Devils have made a couple trades with the Habs right so they’re figuring hey can we do one more yeah K Alan right I know he’s been so good but it’s okay yeah I mean is it I don’t know I feel like every day we look at we got car it doesn’t matter but it is yeah you know it’s fine he’s he’s good maybe maybe wouldn’t have Thrive like that in Montreal but Dvorak is good but you know this trade idea is good I mean but like you said Jesse Montreal have to pay someone a lot to even like if they want a third party to retain they’d have to pay them it’s like I don’t see a world where Montreal comes out of this positive asset wise right and so there’s no need to dump him if you’re GNA have to pay anything right you can just let him walk so great point there but the other name that I think is maybe more interesting is Kaden primo and they say the Devils could use goalie death and they need players to help in udica someone to make life easier if Marram or Allen and do have to play in the NHL Primo could do that it’s not conventional Primo might be cooked which is just a funny way to say it yeah but RIS basically no risk I mean it’s kind of fair yeah I mean you look at his stats and you’re like well gez there’s there’s no two ways about it he’s not been very good this year look they suggest trading him for future considerations if I’m Montreal I’m probably not trading him for future considerations because that’s basically nothing anyway you might as well just let him walk at the end of the season but if they offer anything like a later round draff piic you got to consider it though Jesse I think I’m on board with you and that like I’m not ready to move him yet I’m still not convinced that does is going to work fantastic as an NHL backup right away I still say we ride out this contract till the end of the year year but I mean it depends if a team’s willing to offer something for him if someone’s willing to offer something for for those stats you might just have to entertain for sure but if you’re k h you’re hoping that his game picks up in order to still kind of incubate Laval a little B with does because like you said it’s not a for sure bet that you know that yakob doet is gonna Pat out of Montreal he’s showing some really good signs but if your k h you’re hoping that he finishes this season off strong but like if he doesn’t kind of Turn Around the Corner in the next little bit we could see something happening you know like yakob do he’s coming back from injury the carry a trade kind of signifies that you know there’s still the long-term Vision but you know the present is starting to get more priority as time kind of moves on here so it’s an important trade because it signifies a couple important things like we’re okay with developing players but if we’re trying to do that and it’s that that spaghetti ain’t sticking against the wall like we might just need to try another plan at some point I’m not saying that they’re going to be Hasty with Kaden Primo the smart move is to stay a little bit more patient with him here but I mean if he’s not able to figure out here next you know to the end of the season you’re definitely going to see what you can do just as a positive Asset Management the whole reason they didn’t wave him last year or even well this year I should say is they they thought someone was going to claim him right like when they had that whole three- goalie situation and that could have very well been true last year he had good numbers but now I think someone might still claim him because he’s still relatively young for a goalie and like in a position where he could be given maybe more minutes maybe he’d start to get more of a Rhythm I don’t know it’s so hard to predict with gold but let us know your thoughts on what could happen with Kaden Primo down below would you take a trade even if it’s just for future considerations I’m not convinced I would but I think some of you might might want to just do that but let’s move on Jesse to our big topic today and boy Pier Leen just came out today and was like by the way here’s a bunch of information about Habs defenseman trades and we’ll start with this um talking about David sard there are no discussions between Montreal and David sard’s Camp talking about a contract extension and he said basically it seems like this is going to be his last year in Montreal and David sard has been around the Habs for a while now Jesse but we have said this since before the Kier trade we said it when the Kier trade happened a lot of people didn’t necessarily agree but now as if we needed any more confirmation it’s finally here from Pier LeBron this is going to be it I mean we saw like I’ve seen Clips on Twitter today of remember that documentary where Kent huse was Fielding calls on sard last year now he’s an expiring deal and he’s not playing much worse than last year at all right like he’s a very similar player to what he was then so you have to imagine his value is quite High even now especially as an expiring contract for Championship caliber teams and Jesse I know will’ll get into Mattis in the second but that retention spot is looking juicy for him especially if it can bump up the package that you’d get back in terms of draft capital or players yeah absolutely this Saar trade signals a lot of things important things for this team which to be honest I’m so happy of seeing of getting those proven players but before kind of getting rid of somebody proven in David Savar you could say whatever you want about him he’s a proven NHL player I like that Kent Hughes was kind of getting somebody ahead of time you know showing that he values kind of the culture of this young team the morale which we know can kind of vary so much uh from one day to another so kind of having that stability there I think was a really kind of smart move and for sure there’s implications like we’ve seen the writing with Savar I think it’s been kind of an Open Secret for a while that this is his last year Montreal although he’s brought so much to this team that we’re really looking to kind of turn that corner and that Alex G trade is a part of it but there’s also the implications Josh of this now really Heats things up in the competition for Jacky and strubel for kind of that six spot on the Canadians decco right now which I like we’re we’re kind of stepping up that competition now between like two players like Jacky and sco for me are like proven NHL players and the fact that we’re kind of having a little bit more of that discussion I think it’s where we need to be at in the development for the Montreal Canadians right yeah it’s trial by fire in a way right and like you know there’s going to open up an opportunity for them a bigger one and like right now they’re still fighting for it but I mean if sard goes you there’s still going to be this fight not even just this year but into next year and I guess also there’s going to be people saying just because this is his last year in Montreal doesn’t mean he’s going to get traded I also get that too like there’s a world where Montreal keeps him to the end of the season but if you if you listen to Ken Hugh’s talk about trade talks that’s that’s not going to that’s not what he wants to do I think it would take something crazy for that I think the market would have to be basically freezing cold like Z degre Kelvin for that to happen but we’ll have to just wait and see but you’re right he’s creating some competition but even then Jesse like there’s a world where it’s not just Savar like there could be some other stuff happening as even Pier LeBrun mentions he said in the meantime if someone were to make an offer unsafe veteran defenseman like sard or mat this gives backfield to K talking about the carry a trade gives backfield to consider that that between now in March 7th so K is in a pretty good spot in terms of trying to bolster what he already has so like here’s the thing I think SAR proba getting traded either way is there even a world where they trade sart and mat I don’t really see both of them getting moved because then you’re right back at square one with no veteran defenseman minus Kier and you’re throwing a lot of young guys into the fire I know Lane Hudson’s kind of ready to take a bigger role if you need him to I hope I mean pretty early into his rookie season for me to be making that assertion but I think he’s I think he deserves it at this point but like matth 2o like I don’t know you got to start wondering he’s a name that we’ve mentioned a little bit Jesse but uh I think mat could be worth a lot more than some people think yeah but if we’re trading mass and we’re doing the similar thing I think that’s more of like an offseason Type move which I’m not ruling out I think all bets are off this summer mat still is very much in control of that his play this year but if the Montreal Canadians are going to trade Mike Matson they’re first gonna bring in a vet or you know if they trade Mike Matson in the offseason knowing okay before we start the season we are bringing another vet to kind of have the balance why they’re doing the carry trade is they’re showing that they really value that so much so the last thing that they’re that going to do is really kind of go against that and just make this Decor kind of younger again it’s they want to have those younger players but as I’ve been speaking about for a long time it’s like having that balance of the veteran as well I think on the DC corpse I’m not even surprised to kind of see if they go in that direction for the two SE um again it’s nice to have a young top six full of players but for that to be successful for that young top six to De to develop properly it’s not counterintuitive to say that you need a vet in there with them just to balance things out which is just so important which I think km Hughes is really kind of going for a lot more with again that Kier pickup going for that you know more of that defensive player going for more balance throughout the lineup interesting to see Ma’s name here very very interesting that’s going to be more of an offseason we know what’s gonna happen with Saar we don’t know with maton but that could very well be a bridge that Kent Hughes decides to cross this summer I’m excited to see what Happ happens like make matth and foras stene one for one I mean look Buffalo needs to change something right and I think that a change in leadership it’s not gonna happen however some stuff will happen and I want to hear your guys thoughts on matth and SAR would you trade both would you trade just one are you sure sar’s gone there’s a lot of stuff you guys can talk about down below I’m sure you’ve already done it but that’ll do it for this episode of H diges if you made it this far and you haven’t hit subscribed to the channel yet you probably hear me say this the end of every video but just double check a lot of you guys like half you guys watching this video probably even at this point are still not subscribed subcribe and if you enjoy the kind of content we got it every single day I’m Josh go M coost
