unfortunate six Lo 65 loss to the Florida Panthers and during a routine drill Conor McDavid and Darnell nurse accidentally collided sending the oiler star forward to the ice nurse immediately checked on McDavid who gingerly got to his feet before leaving practice as a precaution now I know McDavid and Nur both missed sometime this season so obviously that’s not something you want to see but for McDavid to you know leave the Ice uh very gingerly of course on his own power but he’s he’s not a type of guy to you know uh sort of back down from that whatsoever you know dust himself off and get back to the drill but to see him you know go back into the locker room it is a little bit concerning but uh from Daniel n Bowman here of the athletic of course from Oilers practice McDavid and nurse collided mway through 97 left and didn’t return but Chris sblock said I’ve have not talked to head therapist td4 but I think he’s doing all right if he wasn’t I’m sure I would have gotten an update right away now that is uh very very encouraging news when it comes to uh you know Conor mcdavid’s D and Chris noblock also had this to say he said uh you know when it comes to something like that you hold your breath it wasn’t like two guys chasing into the wall it was just one guy turning left the other turned right and they ran into each other I think everyone’s okay and of course we haven’t gotten an updates since then so Conor McDavid and Darnell nurse uh you got to think about him uh him as well in this scenario of course he had that uh uh concussion earlier in the season after suffering that hit from Ryan Reeves but nurse if you you know went up to go check on Conor McDavid right away uh he should be fine but Conor McDavid status for tomorrow’s game of course were not 100% confirmed but he should be good knowing how Conor McDavid is and how competitive he absolutely is when it comes to you know not wanting to miss time of course you know earlier in the season after suffering that injury against Columbus he was you know expected to miss up to two to three weeks but he was only out there uh after after a week you know he is just a machine but Zack Heyman missed practice because of an appointment his nose is broken after being hit with a deflected Evan Bard shot uh Monday night again of course against the Florida Panthers of course buard shot deflected into Zack heyman’s visor and the visor sort of pushed down on the nose of course Zack Heyman skated off rather quickly and noblock had this to say he doesn’t look any better uh but noblock said Heyman doesn’t have a concussion which is fantastic news and expects him to play Thursday against the Boston Bruins of course Heyman uh another player you know came off of injury and he’s been on an absolute haer since almost you know he kind of took that team Canada snub to Heart same with st Skinner of course except for Monday night but a bit of an outlier but Victor arvidson took Zack Heyman spot in line rushers at practice his first with the team since being injured November 12th versus the New York Islanders so almost a a full month and a little bit that he’s missed of course you know last week he was in practice of course he took the place of Evan brard next to Mattias EOL but that was sort of getting Victor arson back into speed arson has missed the last 15 games noblock said it is possible he plays Thursday he’s expected to return before the holiday break begins on Sunday and just looking at the lines and pairings at Tuesday’s practice here from Oilers TV’s own Tony BR know hman on the ice of course but Ryan Hopkins Conor McDavid and Victor arson taking the place of zackman Vil po KS and Leon Dr settle in casber Ka matis yamar Adam Henrik Conor Brown and finally on the fourth line here Jeff Skinner which is a very odd you know placement for Jeff Skinner you know especially when he was brought in to you know uh score next to Derrik Ryan and Cory parin on the back and here nothing has changed with mle and EV buer Darnell nurse and Bret kulak Troy steter and Ty emberson of course the dynamic duo in net with Stuart Skinner and Calvin Pickard so nothing’s really changed except you know Skinner on the fourth line you sort of that bottom six uh switch up of course the bottom six was caved in against the Florida Panthers last night so Chris noock trying to spark something uh there to get something throughout all four lines but regarding arvon noblock says he likes the way his top six is playing he added he wants to monitor Aron’s minutes when he does return and wants more out of his bottom six that’s a good hint arvitson could start there now I know you’re asking you know why star arvitson in the bottom six when he was paired up next to you know Leon dle in Jeff SK to start the year you can see that the numbers with Paul coulsen arvon in dradle uh phenomenal and even you know pot Coen in arvington on their own and lastly there poen in D now pot and dradle are sort of tied at the hip there but I think D SLE does play with two you know very Speedy players right next to him of course you know over the years you can say the names like Kyler Yamamoto he’s been phenomenal with d title Ryan McLoud Dylan Holloway need I go on so uh I I would keep capping in there but I would move you know Victor arvit to maybe the third line Nick a a a Skinner Henrik in arvidson line I mean you got to beef up your bottom six somehow that third line has been you know most kns one of the oiler worst lines when really your bottom six should be you know chewing numbers or chewing uh uh you know ice Time and Time on Ice away from the opposition to sort of get your your top six back into gear of course I’m just stating the obvious but when it comes to you know the stats between arvitson Skinner and Henrik uh very limited time together but you know you can see there where the Duos on their own arvon and Skinner have been you know somewhat decent together uh 68% Cory 4% arson and Henrik 67% cory4 percentage of course they did give up a goal together and you know last year arvitson on his own has been fine but Skinner and Henrik uh together not so fine so I think the addition of Victor arvon that you know can bring just you know a little more offense uh to that line of course Jeff Skinner is no slouch on his own but I think it would be uh a really good line and sort of my idea here for the four lines that can you know create somewhat of a very deep lineup for the Edmonds of course you keep keep that top six uh intact with Ryan Hopkins Conor McDavid and zachman and a p houen dve title in Captain I know many would switch captain in arvitson but I think this just creates a very deep Oiler roster and then Skinner Henrik and arvitson and lastly here Cory Perry and then you throw you know matis yamar in that fourth line Center spot and then Connor Brown you know sort of shuffling Derek Ryan out of that spot no disrespect to Derrick Ryan at all you know he’s great on the dots but the game is sort of passed him by he’s getting a little up there in age and of course you know at the bottom here still injured SL future callup Evander Kane could you know slot somewhere in this lineup up and down the lineup he could be top six he could be bottom six it all depends on where Chris noblock does want to put him and then Noah Philip who we did see earlier in the season I think he’d be a phenomenal spot on that fourth line Center Spot replacing Matias yamar uh he impressed me in the preseason very much so and you know I think there’s no more time for him to develop down in Bakersfield I think he need to get him up here ASAP on this Oiler roster to again make it as deep as you can and bolster that bottom six now just looking uh you know at the month of December as a whole let’s let’s just take a step back for a minute of course Oilers day off so uh a December to remember of course only two games they’ve lost so far in the month of December the one- nothing loss to the Vegas golden knights and lastly here the 65 loss to the Florida Panthers but you know a five-game win streak is a five game win streak against Columbus St Louis Tampa Bay Minnesota in Vegas uh those last three there Tampa Bay Minnesota and Vegas no slouches at all just looking up here at the at the future games of course the Bost runs tomorrow night and then the San Jose Sharks in Ottawa on a back toback they’re the 22nd or 21st and 22nd and of course there’s the Christmas holiday break for the NHL and then they have a back toback they head out west to California taking on the Los Angeles Kings in the Anaheim Ducks before you know calling a curtain on the Year New Year’s Eve they are playing against the you Utah Hockey Club so still got lots of hockey before the end of the year of course we still have the world juniors to look forward to with Bo ay on Team Canada but that is it for today’s video let me know down in the comments are you
