recent reports have shown that the Oklahoma City Thunder about to make a blockbuster trade proposal for Giannis Ana aumo of the Milwaukee Bucks and Sam prey could cook up a masterclass trade to land this guy recent reports from people like Bleacher Report uh some other news articles and other sites are saying that Giannis could most likely end up in a contending team’s U at atmosphere in Market most notably Oklahoma City a young contending team with years to come being a dynast Giannis could be one of these front guys for this dynasty for years to come imagine a pairing of Shay and Giannis running the NBA for the next five to six years there’s a lot of X factors surrounding what a trade like this would look like like I mentioned what’s exactly in the package and how are we going to keep some guys those are some questions I’m going to answer here on Thunder dig digest today along with if I think we should trade for him so stick around make sure you see all that before we get into all much now but Giannis on DMO could end up in Oklahoma City this is crazy to think about Oklahoma City is not known to be this place to make these crazy Blockbuster trades we have haven’t the only one that I can think of in recent times is Gordon Hayward that’s the most blockbuster trade we’ve ever made if we have made a trade it’s for trading weight guys like Russell Westbrook and Paul George we traded for Paul George as well but even then I don’t know if that was Blockbuster as we only had rust we didn’t have a star next year we needed that second star we have a second star next to Shay already Jaylen Williams we have a third one when he’s healthy chat hom so it’s one of those things where why do we need a trade for janisan DMO well Bleacher Report talked about it for a little bit as well this is what they had to say things have been mostly quiet in Milwaukee since CBS Sports Bill Ryder reported late last month that teams are circling and hopeful that Giannis anmo could force his way out it would take that kind of demand for anything to happen though as the buck seemingly wouldn’t consider moving their franchise face unless he’s forced the issue that said NBA Insider Mark Stein more recently added that Whispers have begun to percolate about the Houston Rockets potentially making a down the Ro push for the two-time MVP so Mark he did say yes I you know think Houston uh could be that team going after him blah blah blah blah so it’s just kind of interesting to look at it like okay is this who um he’s going to end up with is he going to end up in Houston blah blah blah where is he going to go but bleach reporter was talking about it more and when they were making their you know um 10 trades that are going to happen before the deadline Yannis anmo was that last guy that they said he is definitely going to be traded away and they think he’s going to end up in Oklahoma City and they had a pretty hefty package for him as well it was pretty hefty and I just got to be honest I don’t really like it I don’t like the idea of Giannis on ano especially looking at what all we had to give away if we want to get him this was what the package would look like yis onmo to the Oklahoma City Thunder for Isaiah hartstein he’s traded eligible on December 15th uh Cas Wallace Nicole topic they will 2025 first- Round Pick lottery protected via Miami 2026 first- round pick via OKC Houston or Los Angeles Clippers 2027 first round pick top five protector via Denver and 2029 first round pick this is an insane deal I’m not a big fan of it whatsoever I think this is just giving up way too much first off Isaiah hartstein I don’t want to trade him after seeing what he’s been doing with the team so far I do not want to trade away hardenstein Jason wall is a Youngy potential defensive threat on this team there’s no guarantee we can keep L Dort down the line might as well keep him Nicole topic he was projected go number one by a lot of people before he got injured Jay will we can live without I hate to say that but he is there for Vibes and then a lot of first- round picks we have a ton we can trade away some but trading away some of our more valuable first- round picks like this Los Angeles Clippers pick right here I don’t like that I do not like that it’s just one of those things I feel like we’re giving too much and now I won’t lie the stats look great for Giannis they do he’s averaging 32 points a game 12 rebounds we know he’s a great player six assists per game uh one and a half blocks a game he’s playing great 61% but his detriment is he cannot shoot the three ball what does Oklahoma City want to do we want to shoot the three ball it is you know prominent in the games that I’ve been watching we’re trying to shoot more threes and we’re knocking down more threes as well he can’t do that all right we cannot do that we know his height um his name’s just so long it couldn’t fit in the text box right there so don’t mind that but it’s just a matter of the fact he can’t shoot threes all right that’s the problem that I have with Giannis he cannot shoot three balls whatsoever he can’t that is his detriment that is the one thing he will never be able to do and help out a team with he just can’t shoot the three ball that’s why I don’t like him on the team another reason I have multiple reasons for why I do not like this trade all right another reason my second reason for it is the fact I don’t know if he’d be fine being a second option I think Shay is a better option than Giannis on nmo because Shay can do everything offensively Giannis can’t he’s very you know one-dimensional okay he drives in and finishes like crazy inside the paint from time to time he shoots mid-range bucket but majority of the time he is a slashing guy all right he’s going to fight his way down low that’s just very onedimensional dimensional it’s very easy to stop that now until today’s game yes he’s physical body he has the body of a Greek god but I still think a lot of people are going to find out ways to stop him then secondly speaking on this kind of oh I’m not sure if you number one option if he is the number one option you’re really going to tell tell Shay who’s an MVP front runner now yeah you’re no longer the first option you’re the second option on this team you’re really going to tell him that what about jdub you’re going to tell him he’s the third option chat tell him that he’s the third fourth option now are you really going to tell all these people this no it’s going to kill the chemistry of the team all right this is how you break up a team right here that it’s James Harden all over again I I say James Harden all over again it reminds me of that because it’s going to break up what we have with this young core and then finally the contract is absurd if we trade for him we’re not going to be able to keep both chat anded up we’re gonna have to choose between um one of those guys we’re going have to choose between Chet or we’re going to have to choose between dub we can’t have them both if we trade for Giannis just the numbers don’t line up we can’t do that he has a player option for his last year which is you know 2026 2027 which is a year that we can extend the options um you know rookie extensions to Chad and dub but if he likes what’s going on in OKC and doesn’t want to test the market he could just accept his player option and then we’re out of luck we wouldn’t have anything to do with chat and dub this is how you just kill a team right here by drafting him so I say no but I get why other people would
