belief and today I felt it that I think that was the key point to change the game Neil uh Ruben you made a very bold call leaving Marcus and Alejandra out the squad all together could I ask why that was it’s important to say why um was not a disciplinary thing next week next game new life they are fighting for the the places but for me it’s important uh the performance in training the performance in game the way you dress the way you eat the way you engage with the teammates where the way you push your your teammates everything is important in our context in the beginning of Sunday when we want to change a lot of things when people in our club are losing their jobs we have to put the standards really high uh and for that they have to fight for the the place in the team and today we um the team proved that um we can leave anyone outside the the the squad you can manage to win if you play together Dave just on that Reuben your your comments there suggest that with Marcus and aleandro it was issues off the pitch not necessarily performance related um your predecessor Eric tenh har um dropped Marcus rashford um after he called in sick for training last last season what concerns do you have about Marcus’s lifestyle off the pitch I’m going to say again was not a disciplinary thing is this the small details and you can see the games like I see there’s something some things that has to change but it’s a new life is not a disciplinary thing is the performance in training the performance in game and then I have to change to to to choose players Johnny Evans did everything right he he was at home and also is very important for us if if it it was disciplinary I will say that here and it will be a a bigger problem but was not that was just I want to improve my players and different so it’s simple as that um if they train well with the talent they have we will be so much better with them um both of them but they have to work hard they are trying to do today they train also his teammates did a great job hi ribben um how significant was it to actually win the game though having made those big calls before the game and is is it a different sort of situation with Alejandro and Marcus or is it exactly the same it’s the same it’s the same with Evans we have to choose then we we see how many players we have the in this in this in our Squad in this position in in the substitutions and then the small details will make a difference so I know I know it’s strange but it’s just that uh made no we for me will be the same for for you guys is this conversation would kind of statement do you think you’ve made by beating Pep Guardiola beating Manchester City in their own stadium in so early on in your United Career I think I think for the fans as a um a deep wanted and also I don’t know if you’re aware but your team was uh in the public domain last night and I just wondered what you thought about that I know that that story um I don’t know I think it’s impossible to fix nowadays because you have a lot of people in the club the the the players talk with agents uh I don’t know you can talk with a friend so it’s hard to to to know no um it’s not um
