the table Galatasaray up there as well who beat spurs in their last match where do you feel guys that this leaves Spurs position now in this competition or are you concerned at all no I’m not concerned I think there’s there’s enough about Tottenham there I think they you know r games makes it slightly bigger uh but they’ll definitely want to get into that top eight it’s just less games you know the amount of games that you have to play if you want to win something these days it’s if you got two two less games you know it’s much better to to obviously finish in the top eight which I think Tottenham will do um it’s frustrating that they weren’t Victoria tonight but I think they’ll get in the in the top eight yeah yeah I agree I think over two legs with their strongest Squad if they can keep it together Tottenham beat the majority of teams in the competition they’re the favorites in my opinion but there’s fragility to still there and nights like today when you the frustration thing is cu they were controlling the game and they let it slip credit to Roma for getting back here and I thought they showed a lot of character but I think I think with their strongest side they comfortably go through but but an pooga will want to get in that top eight because there’s so many games that these Lads playing especially Spurs are in a quarterfinal with the League Cup as well so that they’re fighting on all fronts you know they they the squad is not as big as they would like it there’s been a few injuries recently so yeah get get into that top eight I have no I have no doubt now let’s have a look at that fragility piece for the equalizer have Spurs only got themselves to blame for the way they conceded yeah cuz they it just felt like they sat back a little bit up I think the goalie makes it easy for him the goalie just Falls he doesn’t dive see he goes early it’s not it’s not an amazing penalty sanj the goal is falls on on his backside and San just puts it the other way but four minutes in totam going one up this place was rocking and you thought to yourself Tottenham going to really kick on from the weekend but they didn’t it was Roma then P who were in The ascendency and and got The Equalizer through in De that was it when they they they scored and then they did the same thing as it did in the second half you know Roma came back into it and dibala was uh was instrumental in it it came from a set piece from the left hand side it just comes off his off his shoulder as a element of Fortune to I don’t think that’s come off his head um it’s definitely a shoulder L and I’ve scored a few shoulders in my life I’ll be I’ll be honest it doesn’t matter how they go in but um an element of Fortune about it I would say yeah it was a fantastic ball in when you got when you’re putting a ball into an area like that you just it just invites that you’re you’re forward to attack it and you just get anything on it and they were back in it we saw some brilliant moments from dybala in that first half didn’t we they they’ve missed him yeah they have missed him he’s an experienced play he’s a beautiful play he’s left foot’s like a wand and some of the the the passes around the corner when he was receiving the ball in his back foot he he really and and he must have had a knock to come off at half time because he was outstanding in the first half best play on the pitch SP second goal though Joe what did you like about it there was a lot to like about there’s a lot a lot to like first of all koseski I think’s been outstanding um this ball here this is what Spurs are better at than what people when they break from Deep which they don’t often drop off team keski has a look has another look slows down the fullback you know he’s already made up his mind before he receives the ball where what he’s going to do and where he’s going to put it he’s a magician he’s he’s such a good player look slows him down he’s looking he’s Brennan Johnson knows where he’s going to go then that ball into that area you know Tottenham are going to score so many goals with them two combining this year they’re really un form and and Brenan Johnson he’s as good as a one-touch finisher in in the league I think he’s he’s he’s a Fant he’s a forward playing out wide he’s going to score bundles of goals and at the heart of everything good that happened for Spurs tonight with deang kiski Peter in in the middle of it all it was another great night for him yeah he’s in that kind of deeper position obviously you know it might frustrate James Madison who was fantastic at Man City it feels like you can’t play both of them but um keski at the moment is so good in his position essentially but it’s always good when Madison does play he can always shift a little bit further forward and wide um but in this Central Area he’s got he got more of a free role he can run he can get behind people and he’s so good in these areas you he’s not blessed with like tremendous Pace he’s fast enough he’s got an engine the way he moves he can run all day and you know the way he creates and and moves his hips gets out of tight positions and his intelligence to pick the right pass at the right time is uh is wonderful to watch he’s one of my one of the most favorite players to watch at the moment just love the he’s playing with so much confidence and Glenn said in commentary he’s definitely been one of the best players in the Premier League this season you can’t really argue with that Joel can you no absolutely not this this this sums out he he’s he shifted him he’s playing with a with a Defender getting on his weak foot and whips it across he’s got everything you need to play the number 10 position because he receives the ball of both feet like K said he’s not blistering but he’s quick enough to break break through the lines he picks the right pass and and I think off the ball I think the reason he was getting a nod over madis I think off the ball he’s he’s very very very good you know sets the Press he’s got but I like more consistent no no I would play I would have both of them in the team I don’t I think I think the way that Tottenham play you like at Man City when they’re both in the side I think you you so who are you taking out then lyce don’t put me on a spot like that but I’m just are you taking Brenan Johnson no no no I wouldn’t take Brennan Johnson out I haven’t really give it as much fa we’re just G to play the no no no but I just know my my my philosophy will be playing football you get your best footballers on the pitch at all times because them two plans give like at Man City last week you know we we KFI comes in off the right and you play two in the 10 they’re two intelligent footballers you know you could you know I I personally like when I talk about England I think players who can handle the ball like like Roma when they was at their best technicians technicians technicians in the team especially the way an poao plays and I I I just think them two together could be so exciting can you get them both in Peter yeah I think so I mean the way they played at city was you know Brenan Johnson missed out as good as he was tonight um you had Madison in there you just put put cooler SE slightly higher up um I I think that’s probably the best team um and it’s that’s a disservice to BR Johnson brilant brilliant tonight but against Manchester City you know one of the best teams in the world that’s how they played and you know it’s worked so um I can’t see them changing that too many times not good for for Brennan Johnson then if if that’s the way it is going forward but um we’re going to get some reaction from Spurs now Archie gray is with Rachel Stringer actually nice to be named on the team sheet tonight obviously a real hard for point there what did you make of the team’s performance overall um yeah it was a tough game you know the first 20 minutes and you know the last 20 minutes were tough we had to digging deep and you know but I thought apart from that I thought we were good and we played a football and you know we were good on the coun attacker as well but you know it’s just that last that last moment that cost us and you know we’ve we’ve got to do better than that but we’ll we’ll learn and you know it was a good performance I thought but yeah we’ll learn from from the mistake so so yeah was there anything you actually thought is lacking out there tonight um not I couldn’t name one thing specifically because I’ve just come straight in anyway and but you know it was it was a difficult game and sometimes you know top teams you know Roma is a top team a big club and you know they’re going to have spells attacking us and we’ve got to do our best at defending and sometimes you know you can do as best you can but they’re going to score and you know that happened tonight but yeah like I said sometimes we we’ll we’ll learn from that and and yeah we’ll we’ll be better going forward so have you been in the change room yet and spoken to any other players and got any thoughts from the other members of the squad no not yet not yet tell me about how entertaining that was though I was sitting next to the fans and they said oh we are entertained tonight orbe it just a point that’s obviously something he want to hear position uh he can go into Midfield he’s a technician um I think I I I think Tottenham the success that they’ve had over the years when they’ve bought players out the championship and and young players and developed them you think of the Gareth Bale you know Springs to mind but I think this is a real good club and a and a real the way they play to develop younger players gives them real freedom to the way they get on the they’re allowed to get on the ball and express themselves he’s he’s a real talented footballer yeah right future ahead of him Peter do you think yeah without doubt I just feel like you breed them differently now these 18 year olds just so comfortable on the ball nothing overalls them you know intervie as well interviews as well yeah without doubt yeah so really uh really impressive young man and he’s got big future at the club the light for Matt hmel and clao Ranieri after snatching that late equalizer here at Tottenham frustrating for an Posta cogo tonight though this evening following that two all draw we’re going to hear very shortly from the Spurs manager because he has been speaking to Rachel Stringer and frustrating to end on just a point tonight and a draw your thoughts on that yeah look like you said frustrating uh particularly when they score so late um good game um we probably should have put it to bed a lot earlier and uh you know Miss some big chances and um you know 21 you’re always keeping them in the game so uh disappointing not to say it out what do you think was lacking then to not really capitalize on those chances you’re talking about ah you know just a little bit of composure I mean we had the post three times um couple cleared off the line it was that kind of game where um you know we kind of we got the third the game was done and dusted but sort of kept him in it were you surprised at how well Roman played out there tonight no they’re a good side um you know that’s the reason they’re in the Europa League that you know they they obviously did well last year obviously they’ve had a bit of a a tough time this year but got some quality players but as I said we we certainly had enough chances to win the game yeah in terms of individual performances as well Fraser we spoke about him ahead of the match he stepped up some two massive saves from him were you impressed with his performance yeah fras did well um yeah as we we expect that from him you know he’s he’s a very expens experienced goalkeeper and um yeah he did his part yeah and talking about goal scorer son obce penalty and then Brandon Johnson as well uh how would you rate those two performances yeah they’re okay like I said we we we created a lot of chances and um we really should have been a bit more clinical and then we would have won the game points tonight well done thank you thanks yeah we should have been more clinical he said but but did you see some familiar vulnerabilities from Tottenham tonight Peter yeah it’s very much been Tottenham season that you know not being able to kill games at times you know they’ve looked electric going forward but they’ve looked vulnerable at the back and you know towards the end of the game they were they were hanging on um it was 2-1 um and I think that’s the lack of control that the manager talking about there slightly frustrated the fact that it should have been easier but that’s that’s been too many times in Tottenham this year you know they’ve been at times so good going forward but they still have that vulnerability and that will be that’ll be frustrating for the manager without their their first choice center backs Jo whether they would have started in the Europa League tonight who knows but but missing important players [Music] missing important players I thought Davis and dragon Davis in particular was exceptional at the weekend um tonight it was a I thought they defended I thought they defended well they was getting up it was getting up on the B the line was good at times but they was that crucial period of the game when when when you really know it’s the center when you’re holding on like an said they they let them stay in the game it’s 2-1 Roma are thrown bodies forward they’re delivering the ball into the box that’s when you Center ARS you you almost you don’t even want to hear from your Center ARS all game but the last 5 10 minutes when It ultimately when you dropped off they just didn’t deal with that stage of the game very well like we’re sitting up here we got a great View and we’re thinking Roma are going to score in a minute R are going to score in a minute because and and and the goal come from from communication it was the second phase from a corner is come out tried to get some some um closed down the the fullback Angelino he just drove it across and there’s three players at the back post it’s almost it’s heartbreaking when you lose that because he’s just Panic it’s just the last minutes and everyone just wants to do something just need your composure in them parts of the game all these little things add up if if Tottenham do them better and better and better they can improve I I still think there’s enough quality in this team to go far in a tournament um but it’s crucial they get Romero and vaner back if only that had a set Square to deal with angelinho jokes Angelino great lyrics math jokes yeah leave me you’re in the wrong environment peace out Back to Football such a busy period coming up for Tottenham isn’t it seven games in 22 days starts with Fulham this Sunday but some massive games on the horizon when you look at that Rangers fixture in there as well so some big ones yeah they’re going to need players back on next Thursday Sunday for about five weeks I think now so um yeah difficult fixtures they’re going to need the uh they’re going to need the S Center hares back um and it’s it’s the same for everyone now I think when you lead up to Christmas and Stu it’s it’s it gets ridiculous you know when when most Europe’s having a break our league is is going full hammer and uh that’s that’s how it’s always been uh it’s great for for us as viewers to to watch it all but for the players it’s hard to manage and when you look at some of those fixtures as well obviously um they need to they need to win something this year and you know the Europa League is is is something big for them but the League Cup as well there against Manchester United that’s a big game for Tottenham especially considering the manager might have put himself under pressure with some of his comments you know and um you I still think they can definitely they can definitely win something the manager to do it and the players to do it it’s just kind of a mentality thing to get it over the line now coming up to the end of November when I see you next will the the tashes be gone have you grown quite attached to them I don’t know you know it’s gone down quite well um very well can vou for that
