[Music] to kick us off head coach Ryan olahan comments on trade rumors and how he manages them I think the message is it’s this is the nature of just what we do you know there’s going to be the rumor is always circling there has been the last how many years um I think just as a player you really have to put the noise aside I really don’t look into them I don’t uh see what’s going on I probably did 10 years ago and it’s not the healthiest thing in the world so uh just know what we got going on internally and um you know it’s all that noise and all that stuff people are going to speculate and you just got to put it aside a two- game weekend coming up for the North Bay Balian one on the road against the Barry Colts and one at home against the Barry Colts Ryan olahan looks ahead to these two games and watch your last couple games before they went into the break they’re playing good hockey there’s a couple things to it of course uh you try to catch them when they have some of those High powerered guys away but at the same time you you just notice when guys get opportunity which some of their roster has um it makes those guys play better sometimes so their team game is is very very strong and and probably what has been stringing them along here in the last little bit so uh we know you know you play them home and home back to back it’s not going to be easy it’s it’s going to be a difficult challenge but I think maybe one that we need a little bit I know you know guys are hooting and holler in everyone’s excited about being back from the break a lot of guys feel energized excited so hopefully want to see that translate onto the ice coach olahan touches on what his message was to the team ahead of the holiday break it’s a quicker break than we’re normally used to um so definitely we we wanted them to take the gear home hopefully get on the ice once or twice and take care of the nutrition side of things and the rest side of things cuz we’re in a gauntlet here um starting tomorrow night it’s going to be five games in seven days it’s coming hard at us so that was the message um everybody’s going through it in the league just the way kind of the break Falls where we’re we’re coming back here on a Friday everything gets ramped up tomorrow uh and you know especially the teams that play the the New Year’s Eve game um there’s a lot of hockey to be played so everyone’s going through it so hopefully our guys took care of themselves I’ll find out here shortly in practice uh but I know the energy the guys are excited to be back the recently signed player Ryder cie is not currently in North Bay fulltime but he will get the chance to skate on the ice as a troop coach speaks on his plans for him well this is exciting part for for us as coaches you know a little bit of a Christmas present here uh that he’s able his his league is kind of on a break themselves so he’s available to us here um just looking looking to work with them you know get a feel for the player uh have the player get a feel for us and how we like to do things um already had some good meetings with him with in terms of the video and and things that uh we want to do but um um this is a high potential player that’s going to add to our lineup here you know we’re we’re lucky to have him for when we do um but just somebody that you know for me I I just love building the relationship and getting to work with them and I think that’s the biggest thing we’re going to be able to do here in the short term we’ll throw him right in and and I think he can help us I really do uh he’s played a lot of hockey you know playing in the Canada east um he’s done really really well in every situation he’s been in uh I suspect that he’s going to be pretty excited and eager to to help us Win Hockey games heading into the latter half of this 2024 2025 season we hear about what the goal is for this Battalion team well the goal it’s it’s to get better um you know we have the say in our room you’ve heard me say it before the 1% better we really got to strive to do that here and get going in a hurry um we got to get back into the hunt and back into the claw that’s probably the things that we were looking forward to to doing the most and then ultimately I think it would be great to get healthy um put some of these big time injuries aside and you know the little ones are always going to happen the bumps and the bruises but I think if we can you know stay healthy uh then we got a good shot to have a good second half [Music]
