transfer portal fire transfer portals on fire John matier was the quarterback at Washington State he will now go and save Britt venables maybe at Oklahoma this was one Oklahoma had to have so now that this is done I want to tell you what went down here John mattier goes in the portal Oklahoma is thought to be the immediate favorite you probably heard some Miami smoke there uh it was valid Miami wanted him Miami wanted him bad I do not have exact dollar figures I do on one side of this equation I’d be willing to think he took less to play for Oklahoma than he would have gotten at Miami but that is not it this was not just a versus B North Carolina was a major player Bill bich and North Carolina were major players here I have it on fairly good authority that His Highest offer would have ended up being in Chapel Hill now he did not choose to go there he chose to stay home at Oklahoma it is my working theory that I have not proven but it is my working Theory based on guided knowledge that Oklahoma was the third highest offer there at best and he chose them anyway that’s something to take pride in it doesn’t hurt that Arbuckle came there as your offensive coordinator and he followed his coach yes okay that’s great but you know what I took away from that number one I took away that Oklahoma got a guy they had to have number two His Highest bidder was who North Carolina stepped in and was willing to offer what they went all out they they got the former greats under bellich on the facetimes and whatnot and they had a not a blank check but a really big one in front of him and he chose Oklahoma so good for Oklahoma because this was not as easy as just abc23 formality sign the paper I don’t know how big a fight it was but it could have been let me just put it that way it could have been so they got John Mater check that one off the list had to have him Malik Murphy today Jesse this went down today right he goes to Oregon State and a lot of people looked at this I should have touched on this the other night but I wanted to wait for him to commit a lot of people looked at Malik Murphy leaving Duke after a 9 and3 season tell me if this sounds like you you look at it and you say Malik Murphy’s going in the portal what’s wrong with him I mean come on now like take root somewhere find a home well you always assume that it’s just on the player I don’t necessarily know that this was fully in the court of Malik Murphy now today he committed Oregon State that’s what happened today a few days ago he went in the portal from duke the Assumption there was why is he choosing to leave Duke maybe he didn’t choose to maybe he didn’t choose to Duke has since then gone out and got Darian menah from taine um Big Move Big Move Duke liked him Duke really liked him I mean I want you to listen to me say this word in all caps r e a l l Duke really like deri and Mena and maybe they know what they’re doing there but uh this whole thing with Malik Murphy I don’t think it was as cut and dry as all right I had a good year at Duke I’m just I’m going to hit the dusty trail here I’m moving on he did move on I I hope you pick up what I’m putting down here but uh I I don’t necessarily think it was as simple as it was made out to be Kaden Salter is headed to Colorado now this is interesting Kaden Salter was at at Liberty two at Liberty uh the university two years ago he plays out of his mind this past year not good theory was he was injured never really got it confirmed so he goes in the portal and he has committed to Colorado now Julian Lewis also committed to Colorado one of them’s in high school one of them’s already played several years of college ball the working theory around Julian Lewis was well he’s going to start as a true freshman maybe he still will you know there is this thing called competition that still happens even in quarterback rooms even in the transfer portal nil era I’ll be interested to watch this one play out so Kaden Stalter does end up landing at Colorado the wide receiver Market is still pretty crazy so LSU’s LSU’s rolling if you missed last show I laid out a lot of the details behind the scenes at LSU as to why they’ve been able to get up off the mat seemingly over the past month um stuff changed stuff changed Point Blank explained it in much further detail last show so right as we went off the air they landed Nick Anderson so Nick Anderson was at Oklahoma last year a good player you see him if you’re watching on YouTube right now good player he goes to LSU they pair him with Barry and brown they needed a backfield at the wide receiver position so they went to Oklahoma and Kentucky and got two guys to transfer within the SEC this is a big one here too Eric Rivers he was a thousand yard receiver at FIU he has landed at Georgia Tech so Georgia Tech loses Singleton and they go and and get in my opinion they got one of the very best available in this cycle he’s a thousand yard receiver this year he did it at Florida International so not a lot of people saw it that’s okay a lot more people will see what he does this upcoming year at Georgia Tech and Isaiah Horton been waiting on this one for a long time at Miami you had heard he was going into the portal is he going to go into the portal well he’s finally in the portal 64205 had a little over 600 receiving yards this past year Alabama has long been thought to be the leader here if he goes in um I would still say Alabama’s the favorite although I don’t think as of tonight anything’s happened there but then again every show we’ve done over the past month someone has either committed during the show or they do it right after the show so it it would be fitting if Isaiah Horton landed there by the end of the night uh make the mall but this happens to be the number one offensive tackle in the portal Isaiah World from Nevada He is transferred to Oregon 68 320 and it’s a good thing CU they may lose both tackles there so they need him and they’ve also got fourstar transfers from a tight end a safety another offensive tackle so Oregon just Dan Landing basically wakes up at like 3:55 a.m. yawns and decides today’s going to be the day let’s put our team together for next year don’t need a whole team we recruit pretty well but let’s um hello Marshall yeah today’s the day man let’s fill the spots and they do it and they do it that’s life at Oregon right now oh by the way we’ve got a first round buy and we get to kick our feet up and watch two teams play in subfreezing weather for the right to face us next week in Pasadena life is pretty good out there Clemson uh where’s Colin oh we did not get the red emergency lights I called Nashville EMS earlier today I asked the ambulance team if they could spare some emergency red flashing lights um I’m something about it being illegal they didn’t send them over here if semantics I don’t know but we wanted him because it’s happening uh shame on dabos swi he’s absolutely sold out shame on him I don’t even recognize dabos swiny anymore the last six years they took two total transfers and they were both backup quarterbacks charity cases basically they have now taken two players in the portal in the past week today they took an edge player will HT the other day they took Tristan Smith wide receiver 65 wide receiver and so I’m clapping on one hand and then boo on the other hand because I really want to be on record with both kinds of takes here depending on whether it works out or not but hey real world now real talk I wondered whether Dabo would do this and notice notice it’s not a flood of guys it’s just a smattering if you will just a sprinkling of guys AKA exactly what Clemson should be doing I’m not one to tell a man how to run his didn’t appreciate it because I didn’t want it out there yet and uh it’s the clearest example yet I think of tampering because I haven’t even put my name in the portal and yet there it was the graphic was circulating if you guys knew who texted me that graphic today it would Amaze you 16 commits in the portal for Texas Tech they got the number one class right now Quinton Joiner they landed him today over seven yards per carry at tailback for USC this past year so uh yeah the transfer portal is a blaze I yet again had conversations today and yesterday about the dollar figures that are flying around it would Boggle the mind I I’m all four people getting their money I’m just saying at P state if I were to give you my perceived market value for some of these guys times it by three in some cases four and that’s what they’re getting hats off to you if you can pull it off it’s good work if you can get it [Music]
