Georgetown and Maryland Baltimore County or UMBC this is the first game up tonight at 6:30 eastern time it is a Georgetown home game in the Capital One Arena Georgetown favored by 17 and a half they’re off to a 6-1 start who’s the six that they’ve won 17 and 1 half point line total 15 Jeff start the discussion here on this game with a big East team and UNBC is a team that we’ve talked about on the show already go ahead Jeff yeah I I lean over uh I think that would be my first thought here um UNBC play generally one of the faster tempos in America under uh Jim Ferry uh and look they’ve had no trouble going up and down they’ve played nine games already they got a possession length in the top 30 seemly when they want to go go go they’re going to go go go they give up 100 plus points to Penn State I believe earlier this season and this has been a good George Georgetown offense so far under Ed KY they’ve uh they put 100 up the last game against Albany um UNBC shot the ball pretty well that’s about the only thing they do do well they protect the basketball and they shoot it well I have a feeling they can kind of get into the 60s here Georgetown could probably name their number if I’m Georgetown I’d push Tempo you’re going to probably have essentially a layup line I think the question would remain if UNBC is not making threes how do they score in the half court um that’s where I think Georgetown will kind of ride rough shot here it’d be Georgetown it would be over but I’m not I’m not on this one a lot of the sentiment in the chat is this line appears to be too big initially has there been line movement Corby Craig anything on that and a thought on that total yeah first off we have somebody uh Michael in the chat says Bahamas is in the house that’s uh that’s a nice place to live on a casual December morning um not sure about movement I will say like this seems big but I I’ve bet these already this year I I think as Jeff kind of talks about this Georgetown team is going to get a little bit of hate because it’s Georgetown and everybody likes to hate Georgetown at this point but their offense like they’re clicking and and it’s it’s doing what they know they can do uh I talked about this earlier this year because I bet the St Francis I took the Georgetown took the points versus no versus Mount St Marys they scored 79 um and basically was saying like when you play these smaller games the only thing you need your team to do is is not shoot threes like go to the basket these kids can’t stop you Georgetown has two 611 guys UNBC is not going to be able to stop them so don’t settle for don’t settle for threes even I mean take an open three but like understand that if you get to the basket you’re going to get fou you’re going to get a layup um and that’s how these games open up if UNBC shoots well they can get to the 17 probably but how often does that happen Jeff talked about this is going to be a pace War uh UNBC wants to run and Gun Georgetown running gun get to the two get to the block get to the line I I couldn’t play the dog at 17 here uh I don’t want to play Georgetown this feels like a 14 but um it would be a favorite it would be over for me NBC got absolutely shredded last year against good like top 100 teams I they give up 90 and 100 regularly Georgetown probably should be able to get to 90 here really no questions asked and you know UNBC is going to have a bunch of possessions too where they could probably crack 70 this should go over I I I was surprised this wasn’t at 160 or more interesting that what a schedule Ed Cool’s got here in the next couple of weeks uh By Design with TV Etc because they’re going to play West Virginia Friday night in morgant town Big 12 team in West Virginia we saw them speaking of the Bahamas uh Corby uh at Atlantis play well then they’re going to play Syracuse at the Carrier Dome after that traditional former Big East Rivals Syracuse now in the ACC so that’s two out of conference games he’s playing and then he’s opening up the Big East season with kraton at home hello on those three games let’s see what it looks like for a Monday night with Georgetown and Maryland Baltimore County UNBC we gave you some good thoughts on that if you [Music]
