this one interesting Nevada came East to Charleston and uh actually won two of the three games long way away from Reno uh in Charleston and against pretty good opponents the last two games that they won over Virginia Commonwealth and Oklahoma State all right now they are back home on a Monday night with Washington State you see laying 11 a half Washington State off to a 6-2 start who are the six wins again total 146 Corby right back to you anything on the total or anything standout on Washington state that doesn’t really have a conference they have an agreement to play Mountain West teams all year because the Pack 12 doesn’t exist for this year they’re trying to put it back together they and Oregon State coming up so this is uh this is a Mountain West game but they’re not really conference games for them if I understand it all correctly all right Washington State Nevada what uh what are your thoughts Corby anything on this jump out yeah it would be uh the dog or nothing for here for me here at 11 I I I couldn’t get to uh 11 I couldn’t even get close to be honest you know me I’m not here to bet aide so uh it was a lelow for me but this is a Nevada team who I I don’t know if they know their identity yet yes they’re six and one uh but they’re playing 340th the nation in Tempo which would be their slowest Tempo in like the I I think since their coach got there yeah by far since Alford got there this is their slowest closest before that was 246 so almost 100 points in ranking off of what their average or their second lowest has been they they don’t really have an identity and then you go look at like what kind of shots are they taking um they’re 260th in rman 3 rate they’re 75th in shot selection they’re 100th in spacing like this isn’t a team who is just getting these high quality looks taking a long time in an offense to get there I think this a team that’s just shooting really well like U I think this du to regress very quickly now we go look at a Washington State team uh who loves to push Pace 42 the nation in possessions per game they just got SMU they have went through a decent battle test I would say that Nevada isn’t like this just throw it their face not used to at this point um in a complete change of possession ranking I I would assume that Wasington state holds The Possession battle Nevada plays a little faster than they’ve done this year because they are it is kind of the nature of what they’ve done um it would be the dog nothing I’m at six uh and I didn’t play it so that should tell you plenty for me Jeff na I’m thoroughly confused I’m even more confused by this Washington State and Oregon State are playing in the West Coast Conference for this year that’s their conference opponents they do have an alignment for football with the Mountain West and this is a Mountain West team they’re playing on the road on a Monday night here the Cougars just played two games in Palm Springs they beat Fred resno stayed in the first game and then SMU pulled away and beat him by 17 in the second game thoughts Jeff including double digigit dog status for Washington State I remember back in early November Washington State’s football team was rolling and there were people that posed the question could they make the playoff not being you know being in the Pack 12 and how would that work now it never mattered because Washington State completely collapsed at the end of the season by the way they lost to Wyoming over the weekend rough for that program um that said I had trouble getting into this number as well it’s not the 12 at bet us I thought it was more like seven or eight um Washington state is coached Now by a person called David Riley who used to be at Eastern Washington built a pretty good program there and most of the players on this team are following him over and he went out and got a couple of other kids as well um I I didn’t really uh I didn’t really see how Nevada’s 10 points better than anybody particularly in the top 100 which I kind of put Washington state in they’re a decent offense they’re getting there um they have plenty of wins under their belt and I think they’ve been relevant at times against quality competition I had a hard time seeing this number I don’t really understand it that a whole hell of a lot throwing the fact that Nevada shot the three ball really well can that continue I would lean taking the points here I I didn’t understand this number much at all all right again for Steve alford’s team they come all the way back from Jacksonville they did beat Virginia Commonwealth in the second game they beat Oklahoma State uh right before or right on Thanksgiving right or Wednesday night before Thanksgiving so this is a Monday night home game for Nevada uh what is it Kobe Sanders had the big game with 27 for them against Oklahoma State for what it’s worth Nick Davidson’s their leading scorer will they have a big night tonight the guys gave you some good thoughts no official play [Music]
