you were very good but obviously it’s a ninth straight loss so what’s going through your head right now uh just trying to you know do my job keep fighting um just keep putting good stuff on tape um yeah how do you evaluate uh Caleb on a a day like today what you think of his performance um I think he played well um being resilient just playing the whole game getting better throughout the game um thought the offense you know tried to do a good job of staying on the field making some plays happen uh would definitely have loved to scored more than we did but why were you so successful today me you guys you guys down early how do you get your arms around what’s what when you have offensive success you’re down scor does that count does that matter how much weight you put in there um I mean it’s you have moral wins moral victories um it’s good to score obviously um just being able to be productive on offense getting better um Caleb being able to get more reps um seeing seeing different things on defense and um you know ultimately just being able to you know get better throughout the season and try to score points we we scored today in the first half it’s been a minute since we did that so it’s productive and um yeah like I said just trying to get better you us uh yeah double move um we got quarters so the corner kind of played it a little a little aggressive um had an out and up was able to beat him inside and um perfect ball was able to catch in and run that might have been the longest your at least nah don’t do me like that longest one in a while what did it’s been a minute what’s that feel solid uh I’m not that old what if you come to admire about Caleb the way he leads you guys and you guys get you guys moving down the field yeah um you know with a guy like Caleb you always got a chance to move the ball downfield third and 18 you know he runs and uh gets us gets Us close um you know his legs his playmaking ability he always able to make some make some shake and um you know Keep Us Alive you talked about putting good stuff on tap all players want to do still doing that in the name of being of coming back here he trying to prove yourself to this team still everybody um yeah you just got to prove it to all 32 teams you at the end of the day that’s what it’s about and um you know the last name on your back is really what matters so I ain’t never going to quit keep keep going a match up against Detroit just kind of like thees and they have not did you guys just not up to their standards right now uh yeah at the end of the day that’s what it comes down to um it’s not being good enough um not making enough plays way too many penalties too many turnovers um just got to find a way to eliminate those things what are the things that you saw today from Caleb from the offense that you can say this would work early in games and close game in the fourth quarter as opposed to it just being what the defense has giving you because of the score I think just being aggressive um once Caleb got in the Rhythm you know he was able to get some throws downfield um I think it opened up our offense you know screens um short game play action pass was open today so TR obviously they’re one of the most explosive offenses in the NFL what was it that causing similar problems in the first half I mean just not doing the simple stuff right I mean just right his miscommunications um you know just not making enough plays in the end day like you said they’re they’re a good offense but um a lot of stuff we we gave to him today and uh we haven’t been good these last few weeks Yeah you mentioned obviously it hasn’t been a great stretch from the defense do you feel like the focus the effort still there the effort is there the focus I mean I mean it’s what you put on tape so what are your impressions of of Caleb the way he’s playing from your Vantage Point you’ve been around the league for a number of years now what do you see of him so far yeah I mean I think he’s making some plays out there but you know we’re not winning so I mean obviously cool to him he’s still a rookie he’s still learning he’s still growing um but at the end day it’s just frustrating because we’re not winning so what’s been the difference in the defense from the first half of the season when top five to the last second half not playing well not playing well enough um like I said early in the year we were playing really good we’re not playing good now so um like I said what’s on tape is on tape on paper everything turned after the Hail Mary do you think this team just didn’t respond as well as it needed to I think we’ve been put the hill Mary behind us like you said we’re just not playing well right now that was weeks ago um we’ve had some good stretches uh since then we just haven’t been playing consistent enough defense good defense when you when you you mentioned you know what’s on tape as what’s on tape you saying like some guys it’s it’s it’s manto man like some guys are focused some guys are not some guys are putting good stuff on tap guys or not at this point yeah just consistency um like you said there’s some good plays in there for sure uh it’s just not enough of them and it’s more bad plays than good um so like I said that’s what going take that’s our resume thank you something I’m sure that you guys have talked about every week about getting off to a fast start put your finger on why you’re not getting those fast starts no no I think I feel like I’ve been asked that week in week out and we just haven’t been able to fix it so um I mean you can look at it’s it seems like a different thing every week and um I think today was some penalties and turnovers and um some mental and that’s just why that’s where we’re at positive right now can you take anything positive Le the way I mean I don’t I I’m kind of done doing that you know I I’ve been through this now um you know two years ago it felt like you know you’re trying to find positives through things and you know it’s hard for me to like be real with myself and find posi when you lose 34 17 so are there anything is there anything you can take away though I mean cale’s making big throw after big throw yeah no I mean it’s great yeah I mean I I think you know it’s important for younger guys to take steps up and that’s cool to see CK will be able to do that but I mean at the end of day it’s 3417 and um just not good enough Cole Cole in the last four games you guys have been down two scores most of the time yeah how do you have a do you have a sense of offensively what would work if it was a closer game like I don’t yeah well that’s that’s yeah absolutely yeah um yeah you kind of just have to it’s hard to like build upon this type of stuff because this is you know you don’t you’re you don’t want to go into next year with multiple games where you’re down two scores the whole game so um that’s not how you want to play offensive football in this league um you got to be able to run the rock play action all you know all those type of things and um yeah when you get down two scores especially late in the game like it just you know I don’t know what you can really take from that honestly maybe since the the first time that you guys played Detroit the first half have just not been good in game today a couple turnovers an 82 yd play by them are you guys closer at all figuring out what’s going on in the first half or first quarters of games I mean hard for me to say we we’re closer so uh that confidence points otherwise so um yeah I me that’s just kind of where we’re at at this point and um you know we got to be able to finish this thing out you know hopefully guys come to work ready to roll here and we got a quick turn around to Thursday and um you know hopefully that everyone kind of take some onus on themselves to um to come in and and just try and and do what they can and and put some really good stuff on tape here down the season I mean I’m not you know going out there trying to play like uh you know trying to make up or anything I just play the next play um try and you know do my job on the next down and I think when you do that you know things come to you and and plays come to you so you did come down with big uh 5050 ball down the field can you just take us through that play like do you like get those opportunities and all that yeah of course you know anytime I get opportunity to catch the ball one1 I mean I’m I’m going to take that so I was able to make a play on that on man of man coverage uh and Caleb threw a great ball so was able to make a play it’s OB your first year in the NFL how have you seen this team sort of handle what you guys going through n straight loses yeah it’s tough you know it’s uh different mixed emotions and um you know uh we we all you know carry carry that burden and carry carry that weight but um it’s tough you know but I think you know there’s a good character men in this locker room that you know keep continue to uplift continue to keep going so um you know I I follow follow that inspiration and uh you know try and be a light as well Caleb was over 300 yards once again what did you see out of him specifically you know he was doing a great job facilitating the ball getting into his Playmakers and uh you know especially Us in this as well when he needed to so um had a bunch of spectacular plays out there just got to continue to do that consistently and um you know get the ball on the end zone have you learned anything new uh I think he’s still the same guy you know still still very consistent you know he you know had just more on his plate now he continues to work hard and um put us in position to succeed and um I know he works his tail off you know in that facility to continue to do that for us and um you know he’s still the same guy still the same ba that uh we love a Cher so um no just same same guy but you know different role how nice was it those fourth down conversions in this game as opposed to last game where you guys were not able to get them yeah no it’s it’s crucial you know being able to stay on the field and convert and continue the series is uh something that all offenses need to do to have success so for us to make those happen this game uh it was crucial um and you know going forward we need to continue to do that
