joining our stream for the first time uh and if you’re someone who is a returning viewer what’s up welcome back uh it’s great to see you again and let’s start getting into the chat a little bit because uh you know I I definitely um for a lack of better terms I definitely start a little later than I hoped I would it’s an earlier stream today we’re going to try streaming mixing in streams during the day because we’re gonna be trying some things with maybe multistream days uh some some fun stuff so we’re gonna be testing out this time slot seeing how it goes if you’re here thank you so much no rumors Yankees are done adding major pieces to improve their infields uh they will resign some Hill DJ as Waldo platoon I mean look I I don’t think that the Yankees are done I I think that they will try to adjust their infield um we’re just catching you guys up on what happened kind of between the 22nd which was my last stream we had the 23rd 24th the 25th of course and today 26 talking about obviously their interest in Tim Hill we’ll get to that in a little bit um their uh you know kind of what’s going on with uh their ra situation how the infield Market has moved any players who have come off the board in that time span um Yankees cannot afford to start Oswaldo cabar or Oswald perza yeah I agree I do not think the Yankees can afford to do that so we’re gonna talk about some infield options we’ve got paranormal in the fun house here hey how you doing man hope you’re doing well uh we’ve got uh some people saying hi what’s up we’ve got Donovan Merry Christmas appreciate you uh Andrew nans saying what’s up hope you’re doing well Andrew uh we’ve got Ronald duffney saying what’s up uh we’ve got a we’ve got a lot of people here uh so before we get into everything going to set up our lovely amazing uh you know how we run things with our uh little uh presentation I like to share my screen with Fang graphs on it um we’re gonna just adjust I just got to move a couple of my tabs around because I do have a little bit of clutter I did restart my computer I had to uh open some tabs that I didn’t have open wanted to get to started as soon as possible I’m going to share my screen now uh we have the display screen feature uh set this up here share my screen it’ll be Anthony vulpi we’re talk about vulp is the guy who’s on the screen now he’s not the one we’re going to be talking and focusing on uh let’s talk about Ryan McMahon an Angelo production adds uh asks is Ryan McMahon possible for the Yankees now the deadline indicated that the Colorado Rockies were not interested in dealing Ryan McMahon and trading him at his highest value he was having a career season through the first half he looked like the kind of player that people hoped he could become but he suffered up weak second half he really struggled after the All-Star break the Yankees avoided a really bad situation with McMahon who would have likely prevented them from acquiring jism who would count towards a luxury tax at about 11 to 12 million is entering his age 30 season and did not have a strong year in fact he had his lowest WRC Plus at 89 that he’s had since 2020 he has not been an above aage hitter at any point of his major league career I know the four straight years of 20 home runs and you could really say five straight years uh with 2019 I know that’s attractive he’s a great defensive infielder if you look at his career numbers at third base he’s one of the premium defensive players uh but of course I I seriously doubt he would provide the kind of Firepower the Yankees were hoping for would hope to get for McMahon in their offense he’s not a super heavy pull hitter he’s not someone who would particularly benefit from Yankee Stadium there are a lot of ground balls here uh and there’s a high Home Run To Fly ball rate which indicates that that number is not going up by a lot at Yankee Stadium he plays in Co Fields it just it isn’t the fit I think most people assumed it would be the strikeouts are still up that problem would only get worse at Yankee Stadium and the game Power isn’t particularly enticing the big news of course over the last few days has been the death of Ricky Henderson um obviously a devastating situation for the baseball Community a a devastating baseball situation situation for his family I wanted to uh you know I I guess kind of talk a little bit about Ricky in a sense that trying to I guess do his legacy Justice because he is one of the greatest baseball players we’ve ever seen he’s one of the greatest people to ever grace the field he’s one of the best Personalities in the sport um you know he is someone who did a lot for Oakland baseball but overall did so much for the game of baseball itself he’s someone whose Legacy hopefully lives beyond you know even my lifetime I mean obviously I wasn’t alive to see Ricky Henderson play uh you know live uh but I was my father was my father’s able to tell me a lot about Ricky Henderson about his play about watching him play Live um in terms of Ricky Henderson himself you know again I think it’s a legacy that’ll last for decades and decades and centuries and it’ll extend for a very long time this is one of the most iconic players of all time the most dominant base runner in baseball history one of the best athletes in sports history if for being honest he is a once in a-lifetime kind of player in my opinion he is the ideal leadoff man he is everything that you want at the top of the lineup there is never going to be a player in my opinion again who’s quite like him but uh with that being said you know I I I personally view I don’t know it’s it’s kind of hard I wish it was a better way to memorialize him it’s really frustrating um to know that there’s not really a like a place for him to be memorialized it’s not like um Oakland has a stadium where you can leave the flowers out front as we do with most athletes you know when you see the passing of a great athlete um a great person someone who meant a lot to a community you get to lay out flowers can create sort of a memorial uh at the ball Park in which they played in unfortunately that won’t be the case uh and that’s really sad that’s frustrating that’s um depressing it’s a lot of words it’s it’s a lot of things that aren’t positive it’s a lot of things that um I guess in some regards you can say that Oakland should feel angry that they don’t have that opportunity um Oakland obviously you know uh it’s hard it’s really hard to talk about what happened with Henderson what what the ex external circumstance outside of his death and kind of what’s going on in Oakland what this does on top of that it’s really hard it’s really hard to kind of talk about it’s really hard for me to obviously I I’m not someone from Oakland I didn’t grow up an ace fan I obviously can’t speak to that stuff um yeah I mean he is an absolute Force I think absolute force is the best way to describe what Ricky Henderson was in the field um fun right great another you saw him live Graham that’s great I never I wish I could have um you know again I just I wish there was more I could I wish there was more I wish there was more Ricky I wish there was more of him more I wish there were more years of him being around I wish there was more we could do to memorialize him I wish there was a ballpark in Oakland to memorialize him at and I wish you know the the best for him and his family for his family um I I yeah I mean rest in peace rest in power that guy’s a monster Henderson’s a stud ball player and even greater personality um moving on to maybe a more lighter topic uh how was my Christmas uh I did also get a 10 hour sleep that was great um you know I had a pretty strong Christmas I’m really happy with my Christmas uh you know I got to spend time with family uh spent time with family see my girlfriend a couple days prior that’s why I didn’t stream on the 23rd got to exchange gifts uh you know I really it um Christmas was great I’m very blessed to be able to enjoy Christmas at my f with my family at my house uh with people I love with people I care about so uh you know obviously don’t take those moments lightly um and uh yeah um what do we got here uh regarding the New York Yankees uh are the Yankees going after a third baseman Anthony I uh believe the Yankees are going for whatever they can get at second and or uh Third Base I think they’ll get whatever they can get there um you know in terms of like a positive impact player I think that’s their goal um so yeah I don’t think that they really care if it’s a second baseman or third baseman I think that they just care that it’s a uh good player and we’re going to go and check out hang Kim for a second here because he’s someone I really want to talk about um Hassan Kim is one of these infielders who you know isn’t a superstar but has consistently been a productive player um he’s one of the premium defensive players in the sport he is a high OBP guy uh the player comp I have for him is Brett Gardner I think this is an infield Brett Gardner kind of guy he is one of those players who I view as a just just a productive player Hassam Kim does a great job of you know just producing War value of producing tons of value on the bases with his legs all that stuff this is a guy who’s a truly brilliant ball player um and uh yeah like I I personally think that when you look at hang Kim you shouldn’t cost a ton he’s an excellent ball player and of course I think the biggest thing with Hassan Kim is the OBP skills the Yankees need some OBP um I I would preferred if the Yankees would have done a little more at first base offensively but I got I get why they ended up where they ended up and um you know I think Hassan Kim is a quality baseball player I think he’s a highlevel Defender a high level base runner that lead leans into what the Yankees uh are trying to do better in 2025 obviously the Yankees had a lot of issues on the base paths if you look at how bad they were on the bases they were very poor this is the the last year’s yankee team the 2024 Yankees had the worst base running value on Fang graphs of any Yankees team in the post integration era so that spans from 1947 to the present day that is you know seven decades of baseball uh and excuse me eight Decades of baseball and in those eight decades this has been the worst Yankee base running team that 2024 Squad granted they were a good team they were able to mask it because of the fact that um you know he was a they you know they had an incredible offensive duel and judge and stto uh ston was a monster in the postseason they got good regular season performances out of Austin Wells and jash Chisum uh but with that being said there’s no other way to put it when you don’t have Juan soda you cannot be the worst base running team of the franchise uh post integration era uh and attempt to try to win a lot of baseball games the Yankees are going to need to be better on the bases I think that Hassan Kim is someone who fixes some of those problems and then defensively the Yankees were a good not great defensive team that’s why I think I’d classify them they were roughly 12th in like most defensive metrics and 10th in most offensive metrics they were top five in a lot of catching metrics which helps them uh but the Yankees would love to be better defensively Hassan Kim address that need as well so if you look at the New York Yankees uh and what they’re trying to do and what they’re gonna try to do in 2025 defense and base running seem to be their priorities Hassan Kim would be high up there should be high up there in my opinion uh as a guy that team should be the Yankees should be all over other teams I expect to be all over Hassan Kim you know he’s someone who has a really strong just defensive and base running background good War player he’s going to put up a ton of War I know people hate War but you know war is an important metric it’s not about thinking that the specific versions of War are 100% accurate but more so about understanding that you need to account for base running defense and bat when you’re evaluating the player and not just the bat um let’s talk about gaver Torres um this is a great Point uh from Ken NOS ball I wish G Tores give which G given actual statistical data instead of using faal member and itest to call them every name in the book you have another perspective on this which is Torres is trash don’t let his playoff spurt fool you I tend to land in the the spec spectrum of gaver Torres is a clearly limited player because of his negative defensive value and his poor base running value right uh the last two years he’s been a firmly below average base run or last three years been a firmly below average base runner and a firmly below average offensive player uh but despite that he is roughly you know over the three years he’s averaged roughly three war and you know that’s important to me I think that having uh or excuse average roughly two and a half War um that’s a good player a two and a half War player with a good bat you know that’s good I don’t think that people need to forget I think people forget too easily how good he was how good he was the you know before outside really the bad half he had to start the year he’s been a consistently productive Yankee um he has a 113 WRC plus with the Yankees 15 8.8 War uh this notion that good players don’t get bench that’s a lie the yanes pinch hit for Alex Rodriguez with r Li banz Alex Rodriguez is one of the greatest third basemen ever arguably the greatest third baseman ever and you know if you want to account for steroids even without steroids Alex Rodriguez would be a Hall of Famer uh so good players get benched that’s absolutely not true good players definitely have gotten benched before we’ve seen good players get pulled off the field for poor effort that definitely has happened to guys this is definitely not true this is not true at all um you know again glaber isn’t a superstar cber Torres isn’t a star caliber player he isn’t someone who I believe is better than Hassan Kim uh but I do view him as better than the internal options and again you know we’re talking about what the Yankees have in house what they have in house isn’t great not having a lot of great in-house or having a lot of good or even playable in-house options at second or third base leads me to believe that the New York Yankees should at least keep the idea of gber Torres in the back of their mind even though I doubt they will I think the Yankees will find a second baseman who isn’t glabber Torres I think they’ll find someone with better defensive value better base running value who could be a better player but again I think that if you go back to glaber you’re doing pretty well at second base and you’ll have a pretty strong team the shift says hey Ryan glad you had a great holiday the shift I appreciate you man you guys should check out his contemp subscribe to his page um this is his YouTube channel so make sure you guys check out his work hope you had a great holiday as well my man um another player that has been brought up that the um you know not that the Yankees have been linked to him have not been linked to uh Carlos karea but I just wanted to kind of dispel some of this stuff no there’s no truth to strowman for Jones uh if Alex and I talk about calls CR it’s mostly talking about the fact the report that came out that the uh excuse me that the twins were shop were were listening to options I’m gonna use the exact verb here the Twins were listening in on offers for caros kareah it is not they’re going to move him they’re definitely going to move him they’re shopping him that’s different but they’re listening to offers what Alex and I believe is that the Yankee should make a fairly aggressive offer for Carlos Korea because we believe he’s a high Su like a superstar caliber player the reason we feel that way and we’re going to look at the numbers here Carlos karea has been an excellent player throughout his career you look at the the two off years 2020 shortened year 2023 playing through injury um he is a productive hitter he has a career 127 WRC plus he put up 155 WRC plus this past season if you moved him over to Third Base he would be an excellent defensive third baseman because he’s an excellent defensive short stop his arm and his range or plus tools but his range is not as good as his arm that’s why I think he profiles better for third base Jazz great arm Talent not great arm accuracy great range much better than kareah that fits better at second base you want to cover you want to have second base and shortstop have great range you want to have a great arm at the corner at third and someone who can scoop very well at first that’s how you kind of uh you know Build Together a uh strong roster or strong defensive infield you want them to play toward towards their strengths you want it to play towards the position groups uh or the position they’re playing towards it’s why you want a corner outfielders with you know right field at in stadium you want them to have a great arm and decent range a left field at Yankee Stadium and a center field at Yankee Stadium you want them to prioritize range over arm Talent uh so again Korea fits the need of a strong armed third baseman and again you know Korea is a star caliber player he put up 4.3 warrant 86 games he was pacing for about an eight War year that’s roughly where Juan stto was is entering his age3 season again there’s no smoke to the Yankees being uh linked to Korea there’s nothing of that uh so I don’t want to uh spread in misinformation or confuse our viewers uh but the Yankees would certainly benefit from having you know someone like kareah on their roster like he would definitely make them a much better team I think that they would win more games they did last year if they added Korea so that’s why I’m so into it but in terms of whether strowman and Jones would be an enticing offer it depends on your view on Spencer Jones if the organization being the twins view Spencer Jones as that high upside player who can contribute a ton of value down the road um you know then I think Jones the capable headliner but if they don’t then Jones and strowman won’t be an enticing package uh I think the Yankees would have to part with some pitching Talent um maybe someone like will Warren would entice the twins again a lot of this hinges on the ability for the Yankees or excuse me it hinges on how the twins view the Yanke Yankees farm system if they view them strongly if they like a guy like George lar Jr then that is going to bode well for the Yankees chances if they like Spencer Jones that Abode well for the Yankees chances if they like um excuse me if they like will Warren or chase Hampton again that will B well for the Yankees chances another thing too is that by kicking the tires on a player if if the twins struggle out of the gate next year and they’re unable to uh you know if they’re unable to compete in 2025 in the twins find themselves as sellers at the deadline perhaps Korea becomes available again and you’ve kicked the tires on that kind of deal and you’re able to acquire the player you know we saw this with Juan SoDo the Yankees did their work at the deadline trying to see what the Padres would want they did not come to an agreement on a deal the Yankees were able to acquire shto in that winter granted I know he left in free agency I know that Yankee fans aren’t very happy about that uh but again you’re talking about just like process you’re not talking about the you got to take the emotions out of it the Yankees did a good job setting themselves up to trade for stto maybe this winter can be about setting themselves up to trade for someone like Korea at the deadline and perhaps acquire more of a stop Gap option in the second base Third Base Market I’m just not sure who that kind of player uh would be Gaber Torres was very good in 2023 glaber Torres had a one 25 WRC plus 25 home runs that year he was a very strong second baseman That season the Yankees would certainly love that kind of production from him if they brought a back or from any second baseman that they acquire right now if the twins move Lopez it may they may be looking for longer controllable pitching not strowman that’s another thing I think they want multiple players I think they want multiple years on a pitcher and I think they also want um you know something that can not necessarily age well but someone who can you know again it is what it is it like Warren has six years of control and has upside strowman doesn’t have a ton of upside um but you know what I mean like he doesn’t Warren has six years of control and Warren has the decid to be a quality pitcher if you got you know a two and a half War pitcher and he pitched for six years with the twins that’s great you know what I mean that’s awesome that’s going to help a ton so um you know that that’s something that the twins the small Market team do value so I I think you know years of control of quality play matters a lot to an organization like the twins who clearly have some Financial constraints um no I don’t think Lopez and strowman are similar pitchers Lopez misses a ton of bats doesn’t walk a ton of batters keeps the ball on the ground a good bit he if the Yankees acquired Pablo Lopez the rotation would be better than it is without Pablo Lopez for sure bre fit just fine he’s got playoff experience Jack Curry completely shut down any chance of the Yankees acquiring Alex bregman I think it’s also a logic based argument you know Alex bregman’s going to cost you 22 25 to $27 million towards luxury tax the Yankees are over that $300 million threshold after signing Jonathan LSA I heavily doubt that the New York Yankees are going to push you know basically you know pay a guy 50 something million dollars in 2025 uh when they don’t even know if the fit is particularly great it’s not like bregman is this Elite caliber player so um you know bregman is a good player I like Alex bman he’s an All-Star cower player but he’s not Juan SoDo or Aaron judge Cora talking [ __ ] about Jeter and his gold gloves make him a no go for me Jeter for president Benjamin appreciate Super Chat let me hit you with [Applause] the the godamn soul appreciate you for the super chat again Benjamin look I don’t think that the Yankees should avoid a player because they don’t think that Derek Jeter should have went won his gold gloves I think that’s loser mentality I think the Yankees need to acquire players to make them better the Yankees need to be hyperfocused on winning that’s that’s what they need the Yankees need to be hyperfocused on winning that’s again what I strongly believe so um appreciate the super chat but I don’t think Gold Glove conversation should factor into whether a player is good for the Yankees um or not really if if I’m being honest with you so um yeah uh what else we got bregman or Kim I think Kim is more realistic and potentially a better contract salary for Korea he will make I think it’s $33 million towards luxury tax I think even after you trade if you traded for him because the CBA uh readjusts the way that your contract Works after you’re traded it’s based on the years remaining left on the deal at the time of being traded the luxury tax remain relative similar um we can get rid of strowman they need a big bat to comp with the Dodgers I think they can get rid of strowman but we’ll see and I also believe you know personally that the Yankees are going to go for someone who can again short up their defensive holes and still provide a little bit of a bat the Yankees want to make sure they’re better on the base pass and defensively basically be good at the things they were historically awful at last season um we’re not compe with the Dodgers I disagree anyone could compete with anybody Yi Sila chance sign saki it’s a nonzero chance right it’s a nonzero chance um but like I don’t think it’s a good chance I don’t think Yankees should rely on signing RI saki I think they should rely on what like they should rely on what they can control and I don’t think they can particularly control Sasaki not going to them going to them I think he’s going to go to the Dodgers I think he’s a Dodger and if he’s not a Dodger I strongly believe he’ll end up on the Padres that’s just kind of my two cents on it I could be wrong you know being wrong is something I’ve done before and I’m sure that you know something weird could happen and maybe the Yankees went over Sasaki and I would love that personally I believe the New York Yankees will not end up with rooki Sasaki if teams are waiting wanting Montas I think you can find a taker for strowman the reason I disagree with this take is because Frankie Montas still has a lot of the Velocity he had from before strowman’s lost vo he’s a little bit older I think there’s a little bit of a difference from a stuff standpoint montt’s stuff is certainly a little bit better than at least a little little bit better than Marcus strowman’s um I’d argue it’s significantly better um so you know it’s an upside Play It’s you’re clearly projecting future value not going based off a previous season erra what about jerks and profile why not acquiring him well the Yankees have a left fielder the Yankees have a center fielder and Y A right fielder y a first baseman so that covers all the positions you could realistically and profar wasn’t playing center field that you could realistically play profar at um I don’t view profar as a middle infielder I don’t think he play second base I know he did before but I don’t think he’s a capable player at second base that’s why the Yankees haven’t been in on proar stats aren’t better I get that but again it’s not about erra teams don’t care about previous season erra the way they do about upside there’s a reason why Walker bu is a more attractive player on the market than Marcus strowman is previous season ER is not as important as pitch grades pitch quality and upside sha Manaya was not a better pitcher entering the winter uh you know or excuse me Lis AO was not a better pitcher entering the winter uh than Marcus strowman but he ended up pitching a better year because again erra is not as important as upside and raw stuff potential um let’s see what is your ideal offseason plan of realistic options trade strowman about e eat about $8 million hope that $10 million is you know enough to offload salary and bring in Hassan Kim so that’s that’s that’s where I I think that would be my ideal off season from other realistic players I got to get again again I guess like unrealistic or like dream scenario is Carls karea but in terms of players that we know are 100% available Hassan Kim is my dream get I think he fits the Yankees like a glove because of his glove because of his base running because he would improve things that the Yankees um are bad at you know what I mean so um yeah that’s where I’m at um the Yankees going with the six-man rotation I don’t believe the New York Yankees are going to pick up a six-man rotation I think they’re going to go with the typical fiveman now if they acquired Roki saki which again I consider relatively unlikely I believe they will um but yeah I just I don’t view this as a scenario in which New York Yankees are going to go with a six rotation unless something unique comes up like again acquiring rogi Sasaki the win now move over the next three years is Brendan Donovan look Brendan Donovan is someone who I’ve have a very high view of I think the lack of smoke is an indication that he’s potentially not being moved granted you if he got moved I would be very happy if he ended up on the Yankees I would say it’s an a off season if they got Brenan Donovan because he’s a high quality player on the defensive side of the ball and on the offensive side of the ball um and again like I I view him in a very high regard I’ve always liked Brennon Donovan I think his swing is perfect for the Yankee Stadium but again I don’t believe that the New York Yankees are going to um you know I don’t think Yankees are gonna be able to swing a trade for Brendon Donovan I think the lack of smoke again is an indication that he may maybe isn’t a available the way we hoped he would be who are we competing with to get Kim what other teams have the capital and need a second basem now there are a couple of things I need to kind of state from the top the Yankees are kind of cash strapped they’re strapped for cash let’s look at their payroll situation payroll Pages um right here we’ve got or excuse let’s look at uh yeah there we go luxury tax things are at $33 million towards a luxury tax back that’s not great uh they need they would probably ideally be you know they’d like to be like below that they’d like to uh get below that if they could um because then it would give them more flexibility to make another move so with them being over 303 it does limit the financial Capital they have to acquire a Hassan Kim could they acquire Hassan Kim and trade Marcus strowman absolutely but I think in order to make that next move it requ Rees you trading Marcus strowman or trading for a cheap cost controlled infielder now that kind of player would be Brandon Donovan but if he wants to at other options a Willie Castro a ramono Ras from the Baltimore Orioles I believe th both those players would check off the box of acquiring an infielder who’s competent and capable um and then the other thing I’d like to point out is that if the Dodgers really want to get Hassan Kim to play him at Short Stop it also changes the logic from the perspective of that the New York Yankees would be competing against a team that wants the same player but at a position that’s more valuable the Dodgers may be more willing to pay Hassan Kim than the Yankees would be because again Short Stop is more valuable than second base shortstop money is something I’ve referenced a lot of times on the podcast what does that mean when a player is getting shortstop money it means they’re getting more money than the second baseman would because Short Stops are more valuable than second basem are it’s like how a quarterback is valued higher than a wide receiver it’s like how a franchise left tackle is more valuable than a franchise running back because franchise running backs don’t really exist anymore whereas whereas franchise left tackles still 100% exist it’s like comparing a left tackle to a left guard a left tackle is far more valuable left tackles are going to get paid more drafted higher uh teams are going to trade more for those kinds of players so you know if the the Dodgers were let like if the Dodgers were acquiring Hassan Kim as a left tackle instead of a left guard if you wanted a football analogy uh and a baseball analogy again second base versus Short Stop second base is a little less valuable than short stop is and by a considerable enough Gap where you’re willing to pay more for a short stop so long explanation tldr is basically um the Yankees probably shouldn’t pay Hassan Kim as much as the Dodgers may be willing to if the Dodgers to play him at Short Stop which is why I think the Yankees aren’t in a driver seat with Hassan Kim they’re more so a team that’s in a need uh potentially like the player they have conduct their off in a way that would indicate that the player fits their mold um and is a player who would clearly improve their team at a position where they’re very weak so you know he’s just more so a logic based fit not necessarily a smoke based fit uh or a fit that’s dependent on like a lack of Market or anything of that sort um let’s take a look at this one here uh I just agree with this full-heartedly Nicholas uh Korea is would not be a disappointing move Korea would re would would bring this team back to a point where they may be better than last year’s team that’s how good Carlos kareah is he is an excellent ball player a highle ball player uh and someone who I really hold in high regard and I think you know if he was healthier would have a clear path to the Hall of Fame I thought mooki was their short stop I thought Edmond was their Short Stop see that’s kind of where right like that’s where the Dodgers have a little bit of a hole who’s their short stop this the smoke from Ken rosenal comes from the athletic article that came out that the Dodgers were shopping for right-handed bats that aren’t just hear Hernandez and among those players were Hassan Kim and it was mentioned specifically that Hassan Kim would play shortstop for them and again it makes sense considering that Muki bets is not better at Short Stop than he is at second base that Edmond is probably better in center field and that Kim is best at shortstop uh in terms of the most value can get for him which is again playing him at shortstop uh when you don’t have a good defensive shortstop the Yankees are different because the Yankees have a great defensive Short Stop they would get more value playing him at second base not Third Base the reason I say second base and not third base is because they need range not arm at second Kim has good arm talent but he has even better range he has great Fielding instincts he’s got incredible baseball IQ he’s the kind of guy you want to have covering the right side of the infields and again an incredible double play partner with someone like Anthony vulpi could you imagine what he and Anthony vulp would be able to accomplish as a Duo defensively I can’t even think about the amount of runs they’d be able to prevent so yeah um loving the show brother thank you paranal in the fun house I really appreciate it man you’re the man uh if bashet becomes available a Dodge may go after him and be heavy and in heavy to get him look if the New York Yankees if the excuse me the Los Angeles Dodgers acquired Bo bashet that’s really good for the Yankees for two reasons number one it gets them out of the division I know that it’s strengthening a competitor for the World Series but the reason I say it’s good is because the Yankees desperately need to get better and they need to focus on winning the America League before they think about taking on the Dodgers again uh Gavin Lux could potentially become available in that situation and Hassan Kim would still be on the market giving them a trade route and a free route that I think improves the roster considerably Gavin Lux is someone I’ve talked about at nauseum I think Gavin Lux is a perfect fit for the New York Yankees he’s done something in the second half that I think is a very productive change and it’s hitting for more power he’s a good athlete he is someone who fits the mold again of someone who has a good defensive pedigree uh granted wasn’t as great defensively last year and of course that defensive pedigree comes with the ability to you know hit the ball in the air hard and do things that are really strong I I think he’s a really strong uh you know candidate to be moved if the Dodgers add an infielder and someone who again you know would just make the Yankees better so um yeah lineup with Korea Bellinger judge and Korea I would go Korea judge Bellinger or I would actually hit Chisum third I think Chisum has better raw power I think Bellinger profile is better for the fifth spot because he makes a lot of contact and you want a guy who can put the ball in play a at the fifth spot because that kind of player will produce a lot of value uh if you ever run around third they’ll likely drive them in with less than two outs uh balls and player are extremely valuable in less than two out scenarios with a runner on third because you want to score a run at that point scoring the run is the priority he would certainly help with that so um yeah uh let’s see what else we got Ben rice get ready learn second base buddy uh actually fun fact I think Ben rice came up as a second baseman through like his little league days so that’s pretty funny um yeah the only one who thinks Jazz overrated I think he’s properly rated I think he’s a really good defensive player and he’s a good hitter and he’s a great base runner so I think he’s a pretty strong player overall uh yeah like high heong Kim excellent Fielder at second base and a skill left-handed bat with speed now heong Kim and Hong Deber Kim are different players TJ’s refer referring to heang Kim heang Kim is coming over from the kbo same way that hang Kim did uh in after 2020 year the only difference the main difference between these two players in my opinion that pushes me against heon Kim heon G Kim relies on ground balls a ton he does not have a lot of lift or pop to him uh he is a 40 FV Prospect this is someone who’s much more similar to like a pre 2024 Caleb Durban not the kind of guy who I hold an extremely high regard offensively I know he’s an extremely skilled Defender but defense is also something that’s important to note isn’t very is very volatile it’s not sticky year to year um and base running value again it’s just it’s just weird it’s just it’s it’s a weird profile it’s not one I would Bank on if I’m the Yankee not one I would invest heavy Capital into unless of course as a utility player in which then yes I’d be very happy with someone um like High song Kim who is a very good defensive player and has some versatility but again not a starting caliber player Arizona thinks they’re competing yep I do not think Kel Marte is going anywhere do you remember when yes I also um remember Jorge pada playing second base for the Yankees for a little bit so uh would certainly be would certainly be fun to watch him play uh Ben R play second um Ryan which mystery team will sign P Alonzo the New York Mets I think make a lot of sense for this but I think that the San Francisco Giants are a sneaky pick if they’re unable to acquire um Corbin Burns I do think they’ll acquire Corbin Burns but nothing’s a guarantee if they don’t acquire Corbin Burns I think pet Alonzo makes a lot of sense they need some power they need some offense Alonzo fits that mold pretty well they’re clearly uh willing to offer uh a player on the qualifying offer more they’re willing to offer you know money and capital to those kinds of players so I feel that um you know I feel that that’s important Meto sign Alonzo with the mystery team and the a in a one-year deal I think that’s interesting I don’t think the A’s will do it um I don’t know if they do it but I do think at the end of the day um if the New York Yankees um if the New York Yankees uh were if the excuse me the New York Mets if pet oh my gosh what am I saying if pet Lonzo were to sign a short-term deal it’ll be with the New York Mets that’s that’s the way I look at it that’s you know what I mean I that’s that’s the way I look at it I I look at that like that’s how I view it that’s really where I’m at um so yeah uh chance they start DJ no no no they will not public he sucks he has no trade value heard a lot about Jack manil to the Yankees I don’t think there’s any smoke there I think I I’ve talked about it before on this podcast uh as like a if all else fails option but there are I think a lot of all else fails options there’s no like smoke I’ve seen about mcneel to the Yankees so yeah Blue Jays could flip in vlat and bring Alonzo in that wouldn’t make any sense just pay just pay vlat at that point like why like let’s say let’s say pet Alonzo gets $25 million a year towards luxury tax at that point pay Vlad 35 million and pay him for the next 15 you know 10 15 years if you give Vlad $35 million for 12 years it’s a $420 million offer that’s a competitive offer I think it’s a competitive offer for Vlad Services he’s a first baseman who could be a DH he’s had some inconsistent years at least make a $400 million offer you make a $400 million offer you know that’s something you’re getting closer right you’re getting closer so um yeah that’s kind of where I’m at right now uh anywh who um any interest in panco for second base my logic is that I think you’re going to get a poor defensive second baseman should just bring back Gaber so yeah think Gaber has a potential to be a better Defender while he’s still young or his glove cooked for the rest of his career he’s not a good he doesn’t have good range he should go play Third Base like that’s my that’s been my thing kind of recently but I’ve felt that way for years like he doesn’t profile well for second base he doesn’t he doesn’t have good range he just straight up doesn’t so um yeah I don’t think he’s got great range I think he should go to third base that’s where I think he what he should do I don’t think glove’s going to age well at second he does not have good range he’s already slow he’s only going to get slower is there any way the Yankees trade for Tucker out the Cubs only at the deadline and only if the Cubs stink if they’re decent I think they’ll keep him so yeah Yan monana is a possibility even platoon he’s possible for the Yankees at third base if the Yankees want a cheap solution we’re going to look at monata here look I think monata is on the table I think he’s a questionable bet I think he’s a he’s certainly a wild card he played well in seven in 12 games it was 12 games right he was really bad the year prior he was even worse the year before so you know you’re taking a flyer on a player who has you know who’s coming from a bad organization um is entering his age 30 season because he’s going to turn 30 on May 27th has the kind of swing that could play well at Yankee Stadium look he’s a solid player he’s certainly not the most attractive player on the market uh there are better players out there but if all else fails again you go to you know Yan monata it’s really not the worst thing in the world so that’s kind of where I’m at he’s a decent enough defensive third baseman he’s got a decent enough bat he can pull the ball a little bit can the Yankees get him to pull the ball to right field consistently maybe let’s look at a splits the switch hitter who is he better against lefties or righties I think that’s an important part of this equation as well because at least Cabrera can hit against righties if monata can hit against lefties you know that makes him a valuable piece to this team let’s see K horsey plus against lefties 96 what about against righties 110 so he’s better against righties than against lefties the platoon fit isn’t great but again you wouldn’t sign him to be a weaks side platoon so we’ll see we’ll see uh yes Gaber said no to the Yankees asking him to play Third I’m not sure what he said in response to I think the angels of the Nationals asked him I’m not particularly sure um yeah I’m not particularly sure yeah I’m not particularly sure what he would said to them so yeah is San fit for the Blue Jays or the Red Sox um I think he’s a fit for the Royals actually the Royals need a DH and I guess for the Blue Jays too they they kind of need a DH um they have Springer who can play the The Outfield uh you know if they’re going to play San Daren right or you know have him transition to a DH spot once Springer his contracts up that’s a fair idea uh the Red Sox not a particularly great fit uh they have Yoshida under contract he’s a tough player to move without attaching salary or players of importance or significance um and again when it comes to Anthony santand there uh you know a good bat question marks about the you know the long-term Outlook of this bat but certainly an above average player and certainly a bat who I think well at Yankee Stadium a bat who fits well in in Toronto but again I think uh I think Kansas City kind of just makes sense because of his DH abilities and you know the fact that um again the fact that they there are some teams that just need bats and I don’t think the Yankees are going to sell out for a bat the way that other teams will so um yeah let’s see where does r go from here uh some he probably washes up on a team like uh you know I don’t know like some crappy team maybe the Marlins right you know it’s nice to play in Miami um let’s see I would not fire um would not fire Boon for for Anthony Rizo definitely wouldn’t do that no I’m sorry I just wouldn’t why do Mo most projected lineups have vuli leading off uh because they kind of just go based off of games played at the leadoff spot instead of uh like asking the manager so um yeah just it’s just for show it’s not really like the point isn’t that the Yankees are going to go with this exact lineup but just that like oh the Yankees have more have gone to V at lead off more often than the Cubs have gone to Bellinger lead off that kind of thing uh probably I I think they listened to offers on Michael Stefan I don’t think he’s like Untouchable I just don’t think he’s like a solution for the Yankees where is Sherer Verlander gonna sign with uh it’s a good question sherzer is still a decent pitcher let’s pull up Sherer stats on Fang graphs like Sher this past year 395 ER which is solid like he was a League average pitcher he missed a decent amount of bats Stuff Plus fell off a cliff felo fell off a cliff uh he’s still like a capable major league pitcher he missed a ton of bat 14 points Jesus Christ right still can miss bats can’t really limit damage contact that’s a problem um I think he could end up with like a I don’t know like a team like that in the National League that needs pitching and kind of like isn’t great and can guarantee more rotations spot let’s say the Nationals he should go back to the Nationals that’s what he should do right he should go back to uh the Nationals or maybe go to the Padres or maybe go to the Dbacks maybe the Brewers right like probably go to the national league go to a team that needs pitching the Cardinals be a fun fit um yeah definitely don’t think he’s going to or or maybe if he wants to go to Contender could go to the Braves could go to you know the Blue Jays he wants to go in the AL still if he’s still willing to go to the AL go back to the Tigers that’d be fun I think going back to go back to TIG Verlander I think will go back to the Tigers I think or retire actually I don’t know if he’s gonna get another chance to pitch he might have to retire he’s he’s pretty he’s pretty bad last year whereas Sher was at least decent I think Verlander Verlander might be done guys he might be done um let’s see there any Targets to the pping they have on your radar Andrew nardy is still a dude absolutely um I also like Taylor Rogers like a salary dump if the Yankees need to swap out um if the Yankees need to swap out Whatchamacallit Market Jose L clerk uh so yeah I think there are a lot of uh different relievers who can still um you know be of use for the Yankees you know the Yankees have a really strong Bullpen right now and um the Yankees do a really good job of uh do a great job they do a great job of building Bullpen help that’s what they do really well so yeah yeah I’m confident what they’re able to do let’s see what else we got what about Luis Ren heo I think Ren heo is a bad fit for the Yankees he has some serious issues trying to um he has some serious issues with offensive consistency I don’t know how well the bats going to project 2025 and um the one thing I will say is that the Yankees you know want to be better defensively and again if your goal is to be better defensively what the hell are we gonna do with Ren heo he’s a bad Defender again just bring back Gaber at that point who’s a more reliable hitter Tim Hill me yeah I want Tim Hill back but is he like a new guy on my radar or is he just Tim Hill right we’re like everyone wants Tim Hill I want Tim Hill let’s do it let’s bring Tim Hill back um you’re I think it’s unrealistic to say that if the the bar has to be Donovan or Marte and like everyone else is not as good as having pza I disagree I I really disagree I think pza is a high question mark to say healthy and a high question mark to be a productive major Leaguer the bar is not is is not that low for productive major league play the bar is decently high you’re taking a you’re G to take a step back at second base by a considerable margin um you know and and that’s with taking a step back with stto in the Outfield so you’ve got to get a bat in the middle infield doesn’t have to be a star just has to be someone who’s competent and if they’re a great defender and a great base runner you significantly improve a weakness you significantly improve a question mark uh and you maintain having a bat that’s about as good as what you got from glaber last year I get it yes p is a good Defender but it’s the bat the bat is a massive question mark this a guy with the 70 something WRC plus his major league career um the he has to prove he’s better than that and he hasn’t proved that he hasn’t proved that at at the levels that I hoped he would uh and I don’t feel comfortable running into the season with him and you also have to remember jash jizm spent time in the iil with the Yankees and with other teams with the Marlins excuse me um you need to have depth you need you need to have depth and depth is important depth is pza depth is Cabrera they cannot be your projected starters because if they’re your projected starters you don’t have any depth at all uh do I think yeno Suarez is available I don’t know I wouldn’t rule anything out I don’t think the Yankees have what it takes to get him because unless they trade with Warren maybe swap strowman and Warren it’d be a weird trade it it would be a weird trade it would certainly be a weird trade um if he fails trade deadline I get it but if he fails you also have to lo you also lose games right and it’s like I think people think opportunity cost is the only cost of of acquiring a player or not acquiring a player um it’s also like winning games it’s like what I said about Paul goldi it’s not a no-risk player there’s no such thing as a no-risk player because there is risk with acquiring a player who’s going to prevent you from acquiring another first baseman he’s going to prevent you from trading for Lamont Way Jr or trading for Nate low or any of that stuff and if he’s bad then you’ve potentially put yourself in a situation where you didn’t get a better first baseman you’re worse off because of it that’s the risk the risk is that you’re not very good that’s the risk right the risk is that you don’t win games maybe financially there’s no risk but financials you don’t win baseball games off of financials you win baseball games off of run scored and runs allowed so again you need to prioritize that kind of stuff so uh yeah I I think winning baseball games is still very important I still keep that you know number one in my my priority Board of what’s important for this team um you know I don’t think they need a big contract or a big type of player they don’t need to add an expensive contract I just need somebody you know somebody who’s who’s capable of being a good player so um yeah that’s really all I need someone who’s capable of being a good player not someone who’s a great player or whatever it may be um yeah they are depth pieces they are bench pieces they are not everyday Stars an opening day when everyone’s fully healthy on a roster so um yeah what else we got Royce Lewis uh if the Yankees would trade for Royce Lewis it would cost them Luis heel at minimum um and I don’t think they’re doing that trade Roy Lewis does have some injury concerns granted so does Luis heel I just I’m not particularly sure what’s going to go on here so um yeah I think the Yankees would would were not they’re not trading for R lewi I’d be stunned if they did do you think that would move Brandon La I think they’re open to anything but I think the lack of smoke around it maybe is an indication that either a whoever’s whoever’s looking to acquire him is doing so in relative science or silence or B the player’s not as available as we think it is so yeah look I think Jorge Pano’s got a good bat again it’s just that if I want a good bat with a good glove I want glaver who’s a lot a lot less injury-prone uh is a little younger and has you know a a comparable bat so um yeah that’s where I’m at in terms of um o palano and all that stuff so you know yeah um let’s see uh Ryan McMahon yeah Ryan McMahon we talked about him below average bat over the last three years good glove but you know the Rockies seem to be unwilling to trade him um and quite honestly uh the Yankees seem the Ry McMahon is just not a good enough bat for me to be gung-ho about him AED Rosario such a bad Defender right again it’s the argument of if you’re going to go bad defense go get glaber Torres if you want bad if it’s bad defense go get glaver that’s where I’m at there’s no I’m not saying there’s smoke I think the market has stalled in the infield Market I think teams you know have cooled off a little bit I think bregman signing and and Hassan Kim sign bregman signing will set you know who’s looking for what um you know it’s it’s weird the Yankees the Yankees have to wait for a market to develop that hasn’t developed yet that’s where I’m at so yeah who do you think the Yankees will eventually play or get at third G take a guess and say um I think I’ll say house on Kim but I think I’ll play second I think Jazz will play Third what are the chances that pirates sell for cab sell cabri Hayes not sure and I’m not sure the Yan should go out and get him so a little bit of both little bit of both um I disagree over this I disagree with this analytics uh analytics work all the time uh over the playoffs there’s there’s more variance because the 20 game sample size again the best uh the best W the best team Advance rate is significantly lower in Major League Baseball than any other sport really uh so variance itself is just natural it’s not a product of relying on analytics if you ried on film you’d have the same situation the only reason more upsets didn’t happen in the postseason earlier in baseball history is because playoffs weren’t expanded as much if you had expanded playoffs uh in the 1990s I’m sure that championships that certain teams that won a lot of championships wouldn’t win as many like the Yankees probably wouldn’t have 27 World Series titles some teams maybe would have more great teams that miss the playoffs would get the chance to compete in the postseason uh it’s it’s very rare that we see that um it’s very rare yes like there’s more signal to 162 game sample size than a 20 game sample size but that’s just a statistical fact that’s not that’s not a weakness of analytics that’s a weakness of just smaller that’s a weakness of the playoffs right that’s a that’s a variant or maybe a strength of the playoffs that’s why the playoffs are design the way they have been in Major League Baseball to invite chaos to invite parody to invite all those things so um yeah it’s not like this is statistics 101 if you lower the sample size uh there’s more noise whereas if you increase sample size of the data you’re pulling uh you’re GNA have a more stable you’re GNA get a more reliable stable outcome if you only pulled like a thousand um if you only pulled a thousand Americans on habits and not a 100,000 right you get worse data right you’d get way worse data you get data that’s a lot less insignificant data doesn’t signal as well so um again it’s a matter of uh sample size Matters and that’s something that has nothing to do with the pros and cons of analytics so yeah I don’t think there are pros and cons analytics I think data is just data right um I think data is just data that’s what it is Data is just data like it’s just information it’s like um there’s no pros and cons to like I guess there are pros and cons to batting average but like what’s the cons to batting average you know what I mean what’s the cons to batting average like what is it is it um is the cons to batting average like the fact that it doesn’t indicate OBP absolutely I think that the con of batting average that it doesn’t indicate OBP and it doesn’t like factor in slug or whatever but it doesn’t make bad like batting arage is flawed if you use it for the wrong things so batting arage is good at what it does which is telling you how often a hitter gets a hit so yeah like it’s it’s a compli I can go on for hours about analytics but if there any new questions I’m not sure if there any new questions um I have a feeling that they will the signing of mar deal may be a pointer to gishan being available I think anyone is available let’s talk about Brennan Davis a little bit Brennan Davis um is a pretty strong like Pro was a pretty strong Prospect with the Cubs um he just didn’t take off the way I hoped he would like or I think cubs fans hope he would because he keeps getting hurt right he keeps getting hurt he is injured all the time uh Bren Brendan Davis had a back fracture and an ankle fraction last year cut a season short still had a pretty productive Triple A year in his age 24 season contact attack skills are an issue I know this 22 23.2% strikeout rate isn’t high but this is that’s a 16.1% swinging strike rate he’s going to have to be so much better oh my gosh there were a lot of questions I wow I just it wasn’t loading for me um so anywh who you know Brennan Davis is a is a fun Prospect he’s an interesting player he’s someone who you know will over the course I think of a um you know this is an indication to me that um what M think is just going for an upside play I don’t think it indicates that grisham’s more available than he was beforehand he’s not ready to be a fourth outfielder he’s not at all um I talked about high Kim too contact oriented not enough power not enough upside from him to be a major league bat at a high level um great defender great base runner um no no this is not the case absolutely not it’s not how nope definitely not watching the games will not give you better information than data even in the playoffs right hot and cold is extremely extremely hard to uh even do with the ey test right Carl Shon was ice cold ice cold after his first post season start dominated the start right after and then struggled in the next round right uh car was awesome in the second half struggled in the postseason J Chisum red hot in the second half didn’t do well in the postseason um whatam call Anthony vulpi struggled in the second half great in the postseason um Verdugo hot first round terrible after that uh you know uh judge terrible in the first two rounds got better in the World Series hit a lot better in the World Series than did in the first two rounds so hot and cold look I I’m not saying players don’t get hot and don’t get cold but this is not an eye test thing this is not at all an eye test thing watching the games is not going to give you a better indication of of hot or cold you need data to know who’s hot and cold who’s who’s hitting 500 that’s data who’s slugging 1,000 that’s data who’s got a higher Ops that’s data right all of that is data you need data at the end of the day to determine hot and cold not it test right again it’s not it test it’s data um that’s why analytics work in the playoffs and analytics again is just information it’s not working or not working it’s information like I want to clarify what analytics are it’s not a it’s not a mentality it’s not a plan it’s not a strategy it’s not a uh it’s not a a philosophy analytics are a tool it’s like saying a computer doesn’t work it’s like a computer right or my like no no excuse me it’s like my keyboard it’s a tool I can’t write without my keyboard I can’t get without I can’t view data without analytics I can’t write an article without my keyboard for my my desktop I don’t have an alternative way to uh put letters or words on the screen it’s not a weakness of like I’m sure scouting matters right I’m not denying scouting but watching the game isn’t turning on the TV watching the game is watching tape getting closeup shots of mechanics that you’re not going to watch the games and get a good view on player Acumen what’s wrong what’s right by just watching games on a telecast you need more advanced video scouting the average fan is not capable of doing The Scouting the video scouting needed because they don’t have the time allotment they don’t have the um the resources to scout the way that you should video Scout or in-person Scout uh which is right up and close cameras need to get a close shot an isolated shot need to be able to slow it down all that stuff that’s stuff you just can’t really do uh with telecast View and know the Yankees haven’t turned analytics into a philosophy they’ve just used analytics their philosophy is win baseball games that’s everyone philosophy you know make informed decisions and win baseball games so um you know again I think data data and analytics are legitimately like like you’re not looking at like 10 games of WRC plus guy’s a good hitter or not you know you’re looking at hey this guy played a strong 162 Game season my team has played great over 162 games I am a good team I should do well in the playoffs sometimes you don’t right because it’s a small sample size but that has nothing to do with scouting right it has nothing to do with scouting right scouting is also data driven what are you Scouting For That information analytics are understanding biome mechanics biome mechanics is analytics that’s not numbers that’s like how you move right that’s not always numbers so again analytics data um you know that analytics is is is not just like WRC Plus or like um thinking a guy should hit a home run like analytics is is just information and information is always valuable because information drives smart teams the Dodge the one a World Series they’re extremely analytically inclined uh the Rays are analytically inclined the uh excuse me the um Astros were extremely analytically inclined and they were incredibly well ran during their years of dominance so um you know they works in the playoffs Ash are super they were so data driven that it was almost a problem in their front office that you know from a personality standpoint from a uh you know from a getting buyin standpoint it was hard you know it’s difficult it was difficult to get Buy in because the humanity of a lot of what the Astros did was kind of devoid because again they were just so focused on data getting good data guys and all that stuff so um yeah see the article saying Jazz moving the second I think it’s the right choice based on the current roster because he has extremely good range he has incredible range he is an incredibly rangy Defender so if they don’t get if they get an infield who can play second they should move in third if they get if they don’t get anyone to play the infield he should play second so yeah and about the backup catch situation I think it will be JC escar it will not be Ben rice in my opinion JC escara or Alex Jackson because they’re primary catchers that’s all they are um you know it’s it’s not just uh you know it’s not just situation where you’re just picking the better player um I think they like jcar a lot so um yeah that’s where I’m at I think that the Yankees are looking at a situation where we’re talking about you know again I think JC scar is gonna make it I think JC scar is gonna be the backup catcher unless they make another addition so um yeah anywh who with that being said um we’re gonna wrap things up here I appreciate you guys tuning in and he is on the 40 Man Alex Jackson I don’t know if he’ll keep there but yeah and the Yankees are over uh $300 million threshold I think they will hold off until they can figure out a way to clear salary and I think they can clear salary before they do anything else but yeah thank you again for tuning in appreciate you guys tuning in to fire side Yankees for another stream we try to do the midday stream kind of see how it works uh we’ll try to do some nighttime streams too Alex and I are gonna have an episode um come out later today talking about some stuff with the Yankees if you have not liked comment subscribed do so already see you will see me again tomorrow tomorrow night not tomorrow night excuse me uh I will try I’m gonna try to go live again tonight that’s what I’ll probably try to do um because I’m not going to go live tomorrow I’m seeing my girlfriend again um and so you know I’m not gonna be able to stream at the nighttime but again I’m gonna try to go live again tonight and I’ll have an episode coming out kind of sandwiched in between those two live streams I want to try out midday stros just to see how they do uh so I’m gonna be doing a couple more of these they’re just kind of like trial runs before the start of the new year you’re gonna still get your 7 o’clock shows and all that stuff so yes see you tonight my man uh that’s the only reason why I’m ending it early not like go like hey fin a question I’m gonna be back later to ask answer some more questions again thank you all so much love you guys a ton see you guys in the next one let’s go Yankees and peace out everybody
