in the latest ESPN winter meetings free agency Intel from Buster and Jeff passen the white socks are intent on dealing Luis Robert this off seon wording from Busters that Chicago wants to cash out on whatever diminished value Robert has rather than risk seeing his value crater even more through a subpar season in 201 25 so in my eyes this presents an opportunity for a contending team to pounce and land Luis Robert Ultra talented Superstar potential again I know a lot of you are down on Lis Robert right now but remember what he did in 2023 that wasn’t that long ago players go through down Seasons they deal with injuries they deal with struggles doesn’t mean they’re garbage doesn’t mean they’re trash and Luis Robert in 2023 with 38 home runs 20 Steals and 857 Ops that’s not trash 2024 was not good but if we can untap the 2023 Luis Robert and if you put him on a contending team where things are better you put him in a better uh in a better Clubhouse you put him in in a better culture I think you can see things turn around Jazz Chisum went from Miami me to New York and all of a sudden a lot more people loved Jazz Chism than before so Luis Robert is a serious trade piece this off seon now who for Luis Robert well if you’re paying attention you saw the thumbnail you saw the major players we could see Luis Robert be a plan b or a pivot move for the Mets or the Red Sox if they miss out on Juan stto we could also see Luis Robert be a serious option for the Atlanta Braves as they wait for Ronald aunia to not just return but also go get back to his level of play we’ve seen aunia come back and take some time to get back to that Ronald aunia level because it is so high that even for him it takes him some time to get back to it and the Philadelphia Phillies are looking to change things up and they’ve also been linked to woto but they’re not serious biders as the wo sweep Stakes comes to its its inevitable conclusion so these four teams all contenders all teams that are going to be looking to go for it in 2025 should look at a Lis Robert trade it wasn’t just these four by the way that I considered for this video there were a lot of teams that in my mind I could find a reason to include them in this video but I’m going to leave them out until we hear something about Luis Robert being linked or the white sock being linked to any of these teams the Dodgers are obviously sitting on the sidelines here because there’s word that they’re going to be bringing tasar Hernandez back I I leave the Yankees out because even if they don’t get stto back we haven’t heard that Luis Robert is part of the plan for them we’ve heard a lot of things about what the Yankees could do after Lis after aan stto miss if that does happen Luis Robert a deal with the white sock does not seem like that would be one of them other areas it feels like Luis Robert would be maybe too much of a risk because they’re not going to be in go for it or bust mode a team like the Pirates the Reds the Cubs it doesn’t feel that while I could see a trade happening doesn’t feel like we would be ready to go there yet but I could see it so we’ll wait until we actually get some uh some talk about the white socks and some of these other teams digging into or kicking the tires on a Lis Robert trade so let’s dig into the trades now and to remove any bias from the equation that I may knowing or unknowingly have we’re going to bring in the third party here that is baseball trade values to put together our trade package and the value for Robert is really easy to get to guys $1 13.4 million is all we got to do that should be easy right now Luis Robert what you’re getting with him you’ve got the contract situation $15 million for the 2025 season and then two Club options 20 million for 26 and 27 so if he does Recapture that 2023 version of himself you lock him in because that’s a $20 million for 2026 20 million for 20 27 is worth it if he is putting up an Ops in the mid 800s uh crushing home run total in the high 30s Luis Robert would be worth that uh worth that investment and again we bring up the numbers 2024 was not what you’re looking for 2024 was a disappointment but we go back to 2023 we see all of the red that’s what we’re looking for that’s what what we’re trading for here and again remember the value has come down because of the 2024 season a 657 Ops get out of here but that 857 Ops that is what I’m trading for so let’s begin with the Philadelphia Phillies 13.4 is the goal what are the white socks going to get from the Phillies Philadelphia wants to change things up they don’t want to run it back it wasn’t good enough to get deep into October last year so things have to change right this would be a big piece we’re going to send a handful of prospects Brian ring con now they we’re going to be trying to for all of these trades really hammer down on position players uh in all instances except one we’re going to be able to do that because that is what we heard the white socks are looking for for Garrett crochet does it necessarily mean that’s what they would be looking for L for Luis Robert but we know that’s high on their wish list so we’re going to try to focus on the position players so we have three position players from Philadelphia Brian Recon railan Heredia and Carson de Martini two Short Stops and an outfielder heading to the Chicago White Socks uh ricone is the prized piece here is the number 10 Prospect in the Philadelphia organization when we run it through the baseball trade values machine we see the $9.1 million value in renon alone so the white socks Al together get a $ 13.2 million value package for that 13.4 million in value for Luis Roberts so we’re close and when you’re Philadelphia if you’re looking at how this impacts the team with Robert you’re going to be basically swapping out roas now roas can still be on the team and play all three Outfield positions or maybe we see a Nick casano trade maybe Luis Robert goes to right field and roas stays in Centerfield and casianos has gone this Luis Robert trade does open up and make it maybe a little bit easier to deal Nick castios Luis Robert would obviously slide up from nine but you see what this could do from the lineup with the defensive elements Roos to Robert you don’t really miss too much they’re both really good defensively but you get a much higher ceiling a far higher ceiling with the bat than you with with Robert than you do with Roos let’s move on to the Red Sox trade here the boss Red Sox this would be your uh your your pivot this would be your backup if you miss out on Juan sto or one of the sort of pivot moves if you miss out on Wan sto what are we going to send the white socks way from Boston the primary piece here is joelan sesus the number seven Prospect in the Red Sox organization we’re also going to send Alan Castro and Brooks Brandon we’re going to be sending a second baseman a center fielder and a catcher to the Chicago White Socks and you can see here based on their values cesped alone carries a $9.1 million value and we’re actually able to hit that 13.4 right on the head with this Red Sox trade comment down below as we go through these those of you that are maybe not involved but you’re here for the content leave your comments down below which of these four trades you like the most this might be my uh trade that I think is the best one again we still got to get to the Braves we still got to get to the Mets but this might be the one that I think is best for the white socks and also for the Red Sox Boston you can afford to give up sesus you may not want to but you can afford to so we get a 13.4 for $ 13.4 million uh swap with this package of players and we see how it impacts Boston we go from this to this Luis Robert in that lineup we’re going to move aru out of the equation aru becomes Expendable in this instance Abu can be used to maybe acquire a bullpen piece or a rotation piece by bringing Luis Robert on board I would leave Rafaela in center field I wouldn’t change that there I would probably move Robert to a corner Outfield spot here Braves are next up and for the Atlanta Braves this is the instance where we have to uh pivot off of position players only we are going to have to include a pitcher because a lot of Atlanta’s farm system the value is built on pitching and when I was running different players through the baseball trade values machine any of the position player prospects outside of the top 15 are getting completely dogged by baseball trade values so again the thought process here is Ronald aunia Jr when is he back and when he is back what version of Ronald aunia Jr are you going to get you have to bounce back in 2025 failure is unacceptable so you have to leave nothing to chance here’s the package nacho Alvarez David McCabe and the Pitcher Hayden Harris the number 27 number 27 Prospect the biggest piece here is nacho Alvarez the number four Prospect in the organization we see how their values are lined up Alvarez has a $9.1 million value McCabe is at two and Harris is at 1.8 we don’t get to 13.4 we don’t get to the Luis Robert number we get to 12.9 but I didn’t want to go to four players because Luis Robert quite frankly isn’t worth four prospects so I mean you could throw somebody in that is an absolute nobody that is outside of your top 30 if that would make you feel better if you’re a white socks fan or if you’re trying to grade these trades but these would be the three Prime pieces headlined by nacho Alvarez that would take this Atlanta lineup there’s a situation look at the corner Outfield after they non-tendered laurano Kellick I I don’t think Braves fans are attached to Kellick I’ll just put it that way Eli white no you have Marcel Ozuna this is the last year of Marcel Ozuna so it’s other nice thing about Lis Robert is you have him for this year and if it works if it clicks if this Clubhouse this culture uh helps and this winning environment helps transform him back to the 2023 version then you lock in those options and you get two more years you get 26 and 27 with Luis Robert who’s still in his prime it makes sense guys even if you don’t like Luis Robert you what you probably don’t like is you don’t like the 2024 version of Luis Robert remember who he was in 2023 remember the talent remember remember remember remember look at this adding Luis Robert into the corner Outfield spot Ronald aunia Jr comes back you have a Harris Robert aunia out field that’s ridiculous as long as Robert bounces back but I’m betting on that with this equation so there’s our brave situation and here is the Mets situation what are the Mets going to give up this is your we missed out on wodo he went back to the Bronx we need to make some moves we don’t want to spend we don’t want to overpay for bregman or we we we don’t want to overpay for Pete Alonzo so we’re going to go the trade route that’s going to be at least one of our pivots so Luis Robert would be a good one here our package going to uh Chicago from Queens we’re going to send Marco Vargas the number 13 Prospect Davon Gutierrez and Edward lantigua heading to the white socks second baseman a catcher and an outfield Prospect go to the White Sox so we’re back on all position players when we look at their values it’s 8.2 million from Vargas 2.5 from Gutierrez 2.2 from lantigua we again like with the Atlanta trade we don’t get to the 13.4 we’re at 12.9 we are close to the value those are all four trades so if you have at this point been trying to grade these trades and pick which of the trades you either feel is most realistic or you like the most comment down below which trade you’d like the most out of all four of them again I think I lean the Red Sox trade and with the Red Sox looking to balance out and and get more right-handed this works this this fits there are certainly other ways the Red Sox can grab the righty bat but the upside with Luis Robert’s pretty high uh putting a bow on this when we take a look at how it would impact the Mets and the the lineup right now with pet o not there we’re missing some pop and and Jeff mcneel I’m sorry I I don’t feel like we’re going to go into the 2025 season with Jeff mcneel P penned in with any kind of everyday uh job opportunity so we’re going to move some things around here Luis Robert is going to go to Center I know you’ve got Siri Siri can play all of the Outfield positions maybe we end up in a situation where uh you have Siri and Robert and Taylor and that’s a from a defensive perspective that’s your best Outfield options right there uh Nimo dh’s you got Marte as well so there’s some things to maybe figure out but guys um Siri is a version of Harrison Bader just with some pop you’re going to get a 200 batting average you might get 15 to 20 runs but he’s going to hit 199 that’s the problem with Siri Siri is defensive minded any three Outfield positions and I honestly if I’m a Mets fan I don’t want Jose Siri playing every day unless somebody’s hurt Luis Robert I want playing every day uh Marte every day nmo every day again unless they’re hurt and Taylor Again Taylor is a piece that probably unless he’s hot doesn’t play every day either so um really the out of this Outfield equation Robert I want every day Marte if he’s healthy every day and nmo every day then everybody else we’re working in are you hot how are the matchups all of that those are my Luis Robert trades I think if somebody gets him they are going to be getting uh they are going to be uh stealing him the the the the ability to lock him in for three years the fact that we are we’re not talking about a a top five Prospect here I know the nacho Alvarez one was the number four Prospect for the Atlanta Braves but for the Atlanta Braves I I think you’re probably comfortable with that maybe I’m wrong you correct me Braves fans if you’re still watching at this point am I wrong on that I think if you can move Alvarez and then two back uh back and back half of the top 30 prospects for Luis Robert I think we got to do it we’re not having to give up top prospects for Luis Robert the money you’re not roped into a three-year deal you can get out of it if it doesn’t go well and if it does go well you’ve got a Ultra talented with the bat and defensively outfielder for three years that’s huge I’m a Luis Robert guy if you can’t tell all right guys that is going to do it for me in this one make sure again to leave your comments down below subscribe if
