the woto free agency sweep Stakes have officially come to a conclusion and he will be playing the next 15 years in Queens so that leaves the Yankees with a massive hold they gave up a pretty sizable package to acquire him in his free agency year he got used to the Bronx he got to the World Series obviously they lost in the World Series but it was a very successful season for him personally and then for the Yankees as a team even though you’re going to consider it World Series or bust but now he is leaving all the Yankees fans heartbroken so the Yankees have to find a way to Pivot they lose this generational Cog in their lineup that could be a co- MVP next to Aaron judge so if you’re looking in the free agency and trade market you have to expect the Yankees to be aggressive and first off before I dive into these names it’s simple there is not a name that you can get to replace Juan sto even if you get three players it’s still a hole that’s going to be missing from your team that you had last year that you’re going to struggle to replace this year so as far as this next next year’s Yankees team regardless of them losing Soo or getting him back they were going to have to add pieces to this team so let’s just start off in free agency looking at the pitchers Blake Snell already signed I’m not sure what their chances are of Landing Roki Sasaki but he wouldn’t be the Big Splash because the money is not going to be an issue with him but Corbin Burns and Max freed are the two Ace level pitchers that you have on the market so those are guys that can be commanding close to if not exceeding 200 million and then if you look at the trademark Market Garrett crochet he’s a piece as well but the Yankees prospects that they have available for trade I’m not sure which ones they’re willing to part ways with especially guys like Jason Dominguez who are need going to need to take a step up in the absence of Wan Soo and as far as the free agency hitters there’s guys like teoscar Hernandez Anthony santand if you’re talking about outfielders to directly replace the position that Juan soda was playing two good players two Allstar caliber players but the drop off from Juan SoDo to Anthony Sant D or teoscar Hernandez you can see why soo’s simply just going to be Irreplaceable so you obviously have to make a bunch of additions to make up for his production that he has at one spot in the lineup not to mention his clutch Gene in the big moments and leading them to the World Series as well at first base you also have Anthony Rizzo to replace so if you’re talking free agents the Mets just signed Juan SoDo could you be in on a Pete Alonso that could be a pretty Marquee free agent if not Christian Walker has been a name that’s been talked about a lot Alex bregman’s a guy at third base I don’t know if things would be complicated because of the history between bregman and the Yankees but let me know what you guys think the Yankees are going to have to be aggressive whether it’s free agency in the trade market or both because they just lost Juan sto and that’s a tough pill to swallow
