it’s that exciting time of year again NBA trade rumors are swirling even before the season has truly settled the NBA offseason typically dominates the headlines with the usual free agent frenzy but there’s something about these trade rumors that capture fans attention like nothing else it’s like a game of high stakes chess with teams trying to make the best moves before the trade deadline strikes but why do these rumors start so early let’s dive into our video to know about why the NBA trade rumor mill is already in full swing let’s get started we’re already diving into some legit trade rumors swirling around the NBA and no this isn’t some clickbait from a random blog we’re talking about actual reporters dropping the scoop think jannis or Jimmy Butler trade talks are just exaggerated nonsense yeah sure remember how whispers about Carl Anthony towns or Julius Randall seem like just chatter then bam a Shams bomb hits out of nowhere that kind of surprise it’s bound to happen again because there’s a ton of fresh smoke around potential trades take this as an example Jonathan kuminga is a name- Making Waves right now the Warriors chose not to extend his rookie contract sparking conversations across the league rival Executives now believe the Warriors might be more open than ever to including kuminga in a trade imagine how brutal that must feel knowing your own team might be ready to see you in a different uniform they even tried hard to ship him to Utah for Lori marinin but the Jazz had other ideas they wanted Brandon Pinsky instead you’ve got to think kuminga is feeling some type of way about all this he bet on himself to shine and lock in a new contract but instead what happens Steve Kerr benches him just a few games into the season so now the big question is what kind of trade are the Warriors really looking for so far the Warriors are blowing expectations out of the water this season they’ve got the number one net rating early on and guess what their defense is surprisingly Elite sitting at number two overall that’s how they managed to sweep the Pelicans back to back even without their Superstar Steph Curry but as good as the depth pieces are right now the Warriors know they need another star to truly contend you can’t make a deep playoff run without a legit second scorer and that’s where Jonathan kuminga comes in now Steve Kerr doesn’t exactly think kuminga is that star though otherwise he wouldn’t be coming off the bench the athletic recently reported that the Warriors are still linked to Jimmy Butler but the only other option on their radar is jannis an to Kumo golden state is only going to move kuminga for a big piece but there’s also some Buzz around Austin Reeves speaking of surprise Stars the Lakers are clearly stacked with top end talent to compete but they’re missing perimeter defense and depth right now their two Best Wing Defenders are Max Christie and Gabe Vincent both of whom come off the bench that’s a big issue when you’re stacked against other title contenders but the good news for the Lakers Austin Reeves has become a much better trade asset than ever thanks to his fantastic start he’s playing second fiddle to LeBron as a secondary ball handler and he’s on a team-friendly deal remember no one even tried to steal him during restricted free agency which makes him an even more valuable chip now now so what do the Lakers need for one they’ve got to fix their defense in the paint the worst team defending the rim right now is the New York Knicks it makes sense given that their starting center Mitchell Robinson is hurt then you’ve got the Chicago Bulls where Nicola vuvi is well pretty terrible defending the rim and of course the Washington Wizards are just awful all around but even with all these struggles the Lakers are allowing 70% shooting at The Rim teams can do whatever they want down there which is a problem for a team hoping to make a run the Lakers are linked to Walker teser a 7.1in two-way center from the Utah Jazz he’d provid some much needed defense behind Anthony Davis now they could start him alongside ad but that might mess with Davis’s MVP level play so far more realistically they could close games with Kesler which would give them a much better defensive presence when it matters most but the Lakers need someone like him because let’s be real LeBron James is on the decline time is running out for the Lakers to win another ring next up Jaylen green of the Houston Rockets has been a huge surprise this season and here’s why they just extended jayen green but even Brian Windor admits that the New Deal was structured to make him easier to trade so far green has been the Houston Rockets go-to guy on offense and has even improved his defense which is crucial because the rockets need him to be exceptional if they plan to land one of the big names on their wish list and speaking of that wish list we’ll get to that in just a second here’s the deal Green’s new contract is 2 years with a player option and while that sounds like a good deal for the Rockets it actually makes him hard harder to trade why because he’s now a poison pill with a trade kicker which complicates things still it’s not impossible right now the Rockets are one of the deepest teams in the NBA boasting seven players aged 23 or younger that means they could deal with a talented guy like green and still have plenty of depth to work with so who exactly is on Houston’s list of potential targets well according to the athletic it’s a ridiculous set of names Devon Booker Zion Williamson and Donovan Mitchell even though it’s highly unrealistic the Rockets aren’t looking to trade for an older star like Jimmy Butler or Kevin Durant they want a young Allstar who fits their timeline now it’s tough to say this but here’s a question why isn’t Trey young an ideal fit for the Rockets it’s a tough one because a player like him is hard to fit anywhere but for Houston it doesn’t seem to make sense either fans would probably hate to see this next guy traded but guess who’s on that list Keegan Murray yes the same guy who’s been an elite shooter and arguably the king’s Best Wing Defender how good of a shooter is Murray well only seven players have ever made 12 threes in a game in NBA history Steven Curry Klay Thompson Damen Lillard Zack LaVine Kobe Bryant darell Marshall and yes Keegan Murray but here’s the kicker Dame Lillard holds the record for the most triples in the first two seasons of his career and ke Kean is right behind him at number two so why would the Kings consider trading this guy simple if Sacramento ever wants to upgrade and bring in an elite player to complete their team Keegan would have to be in that deal why because if any team is going to send their star to Sacramento they’ll demand Keegan Murray in return it just makes sense so what exactly do the kings need well it turns out Demar D rozan is actually a really good fit for them he’s averaging over 20 points and is taking a ton of free throws right now something the Kings could really use right now the pace is a top 10 in both offense and defense but it’s still early to make sweeping conclusions about them based on their history though they need more length and defense Sacramento would only trade Keegan Murray for an All-Star so don’t expect that to happen anytime soon but what about Benedict Maan the dude just dropped 30 points and 11 rebounds on the Celtics handing them their only loss so far this season who wouldn’t want a play like that the Pacers might but here’s the catch they made it to the Conference finals last year without him he was injured during the playoffs and right now they don’t need more offense they’ve got that covered they want to prove that last year’s run wasn’t a fluke like the Blazers or Hawks but so far it’s looking a lot like that the Pacers have been awful this season with losses to the banged up Sixers and pelicans and then there’s Tyrese halberton he’s been terrible whatever slump he was in at the back end of last season has carried over he’s averaging 14 points seven assists and a horrible 24% from Deep they’ve got to make a move the only real trade asset they have is Benedict Maan the kids a microwave scorer Off the Bench just like Malik monk instant offense for a team that desperately needs it Indie could also throw in two first round picks in a bigger deal in 2029 and 2031 it seems they need a more modest move for someone like Dorian finny Smith from the Brooklyn Nets he’s on the trade block and Brooklyn is looking for a young player like Maan in return it’s it’s a great swap for both sides but if these trades happen whether at the trade deadline or in the off season the big question becomes which team is going to blow it up which stars will hit the market Michael Porter Jr recently told ESPN that if we don’t win it this year we all know they might have to break it up you rarely hear a max player on a contender talk like that but it’s looking rough in Denver and if mpj is Right he’d definitely be able to think Christian Brawn a 2029 first round pick and three pick swaps the other team that could blow it up the Milwaukee Bucks this is where things get really interesting of course the big prize is jannis an Tumo but not enough people are considering what would happen next if the Bucks fail Damen Lillard would get traded then there’s the Aging Brook Lopez the banged up Chris Middleton and even the ideal role player Bobby poris when these teams fall short expect a lot of movement from the players and teams we just mentioned but here’s the kicker there’s one crazy reason why the Bucks might blow it up and people aren’t talking about it enough I’m about to drop a rumor
