for e e e e e for e e for e for for for e for e for warning incoming game over warning incoming game [Applause] over good evening everybody and welcome uh to the game over Winnipeg postgame show of tonight’s game between the Winnipeg Jets uh and the Buffalo Sabers um huge win for the Jets um 3-2 overtime win over the Buffalo Sabers um you know to snap a four game losing streak uh really good G really good game to win um a very back and forth um open Style game that we’ll get into uh Tage Thompson open the scoring on the power play um followed by a beautiful Gabriel valard tip um off the Hayden flurry shot to tie it at 1-1 um and then Buffalo went up 2-1 later that period with a goal from Dylan cousins um in the second period um the Jets finally got one on the power play I think on their third or fourth power play of the game Kyle Conor scored on the five on three to tie the game at two um teams traded chances in in the third period um and even the over overtime was very back and forth could have gone either way um but in the final minute of the overtime Adam Lowry um Captain Lowry scored the game-winning goal the Jets uh win 3 to2 uh Connor heluk uh excellent tonight 28 saves vintage heli made a lot of great stops um as the Jets moved to 198 and0 um which is a tie for first place in the Central Division um and current currently the only team um with 19 wins on the season so um the Jets will you know have a chance to be the first in the league to get the 20 wins on Saturday when they play um Chicago um yeah so again my name is tiello and we’re we’re glad to have um yeah I got uh P Lindberg in the chat um who says great wind Jets um and why was Lambert demoted in the third in the third period to the fourth line um yeah that’s a question uh we’ll talk about Brad Lambert in the next uh segment in of the show for sure P so stick around for uh stick around for that but yeah I didn’t um I didn’t really love the demotion I’m a very big um very high on Brad Lambert um yeah we we’ll get into that though um kind of an like kind of a game that the Jets needed tonight um against Buffalo a game that we needed desperately and what I mean by that is um um Buffalo is not a very um defensive uh Team they’re very offensive minded um you know they got a lot of young players um you know it helps that they’re not a you know a juggernaut in the league um you know but if you’re a team that’s kind of struggling to score goals like the Jets are for example um you know playing a team like Buffalo um you’re going to get your chances uh it’s very much you know a running gun um trading chances both ways um type of style that Buffalo’s you know kind of been playing this year um a little surprisingly under lendy Ruff um but I don’t know if he has much options um you know with the team that he has um just kind of the players in Buffalo they have are very offensive minded you know you look at someone like Tage Thompson who’s a dynamic you know number one Center um you know Dylan cousins Yuri kulich tuck you know you got a lot of um offensive-minded players uh and the defense you know isn’t there for Buffalo obviously Rasmus Dalene not playing tonight was a big hit uh the buffalo’s Decor um you know and after power after power and Byrum you know their top six isn’t anything special with Gilbert yaru Clifton and Bryson um um so it was definitely a game that the Jets needed um when the score was uh 22 um Buffalo sabes they had a new player Tyson kak from cus Manitoba um home with my grandma and Tyson kak um Tyson kak scored um however the goal was brought back uh due to goaling interference um the Jets won the challenge um it was it was kind of funny seeing you know kak’s reaction on the bench and then they showed kak’s family who had flown in from cus um you know they were watching it and you could kind of live and die by their reactions to the goal and then you know when the goal was waved off um you know was it was quite a it was quite a spectacle and um you know it was good it was obviously good for the Jets um that that goal came back cuz it um you know it would have stood as the gamewinner if there were no other uh goals after that and there were none in the in the third period um it was uh there’s a lot you know there’s kind of a lot lot to you know kind of break down um from tonight I think that um arneil and the coaching staff will have a good look at the have a good look at the tape because there was a lot um that could be improved on uh no doubt um of course um of course there’s uh good things from the game um good to get the offense going good the power play got a goal um just still not um we’re still not seeing those crisp and clean Winnipeg Jets that we saw in the first you know 20 games of the season 15 games of the season they don’t look as sharp they look um sloppy tired whatever you want to call it um they don’t have that jump that they’ve had on teams um they just they’re just kind of they’re struggling right now is the way to put it um and it’s good that they were able to win tonight and break that losing streak um it’s just good to it shows the sign of a good hockey team when you’re able to Win Hockey games when you’re not playing your best um so it was huge that the Jets were able to you know get two points tonight pull it out it’ll be good for the morale you know when they’re going to be you know positive hopefully when they go into Chicago um and play a team another team that they should be beating you know and then playing Columbus on Sunday a team that they should be beating um so it’s a finally a break from playing you know those top teams we’re kind of getting you know a bit of a softball schedule these next these next couple games which is good um you know the only thing I don’t want to see is the Jets you know playing down to the level of their opposition as they you know did a little bit tonight um and yeah anything anything going in the chats if you’re there a little bit now about uh Lambo uh Brad Lambert um who played his third NHL game tonight his second of the Season second straight game with the Jets after being called up in the wake of NC Nikolai E’s injury um p limberg in the chat had asked why was Lambert demoted in in the third period uh to the fourth line Sorry Brendan labar I didn’t even know you were watching uh Brendan yes uh like comment and subscribe these videos if you’re if you’re out there you’re new you’re watching the video like comment subscribe it helps us um yeah please help us out we need all the help we can get um Brandon can I now can I talk about Brad Lambert for a little bit or do you want to any anything else I need to shout out all right yeah Brad Lambert did get demoted to the fourth line tonight py um I thought uh he started off the game well he started off the game in pain actually uh in the first you know on his first shift of the game he uh took a a bad took a bad shot block to the kneecap it looked like he went down kind of you know ran off the ice uh you know like he was shot um was in a lot of pain on the on the bench um and then he promptly kind of went down the went down the tunnel with the trainer um and I was I think a lot of you know a lot of jets fans were worried as like uh not not Lambert Not injured off of a shot block um but if you’ve been if you blocked a shot it usually stings for you know five 10 minutes and then you can get back out there and that’s essentially what Lambert did uh you know when the Jets got their first Power Play of the game you know about five minutes later um you know Brad Lambert uh was on the ice for the second power play unit um definitely saw his definitely saw his uh definitely saw flashes of his speed tonight I’ll say that um you know he got if you play fantasy hockey he covered he didn’t record a shot on net yet in these two games but he got you know a block a block and a hit and he was 50% uh in the face off dot tonight um he also didn’t play a lot five on five um Brad Lambert yeah he didn’t play a lot five on five tonight just because of there was a lot of special teams um you know when the coach they just they didn’t when they were five on five they didn’t roll out um um you know that line as much um and then in the third period as we saw Alex follow and Brad Lambert were um were switched uh I follow went up to the second line and then Brad Lambert play on the fourth line and then I believe Lambert only got two or three shifts uh in the third period um but even when he was on the fourth line we still saw you know we saw his speed um you know we saw him trying to create um I don’t know like I’m a big I’m a big grad Lambert supporter I’m you know big into his future and him playing on this team um you know what I don’t like what I don’t like is um you know him playing with col Peretti who’s like totally useless on the ice um you know these last five 10 games like he’s C profet he’s got the two biggest flaws in NHL player can have in that he’s slow um and that he’s soft um so when you play when you have Lambert you know who’s also Pro considered a soft player but at least Lambert’s fast um he’s Shifty um you know he can make moves with a puck he can shoot um you know Peretti might be a better passer right now than Lambert but um you know that’s about all um you know so it’s not it’s it’s not as Fair of an opportunity I would say for Brad Lambert um you know when you got you know kind of a this Boulder kind of stuck on your line um you know Lambert needs to be playing with Speedy players uh you know the nikov can can hold his own I think but you know Lambert really needs to be playing know Lambert’s game is all speed uh and you have him with you know the slowest player in the NHL on his line uh like what do you think’s going to happen um you know so we we saw glimpses of Brad Lambert speed we saw it on the power play we saw Power Play 2 come out um you know they created a little bit um yeah um brenon labar my man in the chat uh here says say um Brennan’s my fellow game over winning Peg host he said I couldn’t watch the game tonight going to watch it now but I’m assuming it was to hold the lead the team uh win was probably more important than getting him a few more minutes that’s what I thought that’s that’s kind of what I thought as well um I thought um they were I thought kind of arneal was going to shorten the bench have been the third period um and that like I said the fourth line barely played at all um I think in the future like you just got to you got to play you got to play four lines and just like assume that you’re going to beat Buffalo though um it just it seemed it seemed a little bit no you know they haven’t won in four games I take that back but I think most Knights you know when you’re not kind of in this losing streak you play four lines and you assume that you’re going to beat the you know the bottom you know the bottom teams in the league like you you’re the Jets are you know supposedly a you know a cup Contender um I Alex follow we know what he does um he didn’t bring much uh to that second line in the third period that they were um quite frankly they were horrible together uh NES nikov and Peretti um you know didn’t do much all night but especially in that third period you know they gave up a couple of chances um and I’m saying this definitely a little bit biased too um I’m I’m a huge Brad Lambert Stan I I played him in my fantasy team I almost played him in my fantasy team over mat mov tonight uh and luckily I was able to play them both and mov went on to get three assists tonight but um you know I’m rolling with Brad Lambert right now I want to see him in the lineup um at least until Nikolai eers is back at least I do not want to see Gus in the lineup on Saturday I don’t want to see Gus in lineup on Sunday these are games you have to give to Brad Lambert need to continue to see what he can do um get him comfortable playing at the NHL level if he goes if he has to be sent down um so be it once eers is back if he hasn’t earned it that’s fine um you know but while there’s an opening in the top six um you have to give it to Brad Lambert um and really col Peretti like I’m I’m just I’m not high on C Peretti is the one you got to be starting to demote uh culer Fetti is not a top six player at the moment um you he should be playing on the fourth line I think that you know there’s a couple of players that could be getting a bump up in the lineup and you know getting more of a top six role um I want to see Brad Lambert get the second line center crack again or playing on the wing maybe to start the next game if that’s what the coach uh thinks but um you know just want to see a little bit of rope Brandon says 100% I just think off four losses it’s important for sure yeah for sure huge to get a win um just but like in next game against Chicago just play them on a regular shift play Lambo on a regular shift the whole game like for God’s sakes it’s Chicago uh Brandon is there a top six mix you’d prefer to get Lambert a better opportunity linemate wise uh yeah um yeah 100% um I think that I think eventually um and not just Lambert wise I think the Jets eventually are going to have to you know shake up the shake up the lineup um and I even would go as far as saying you have to break up the third line um Mason Appleton has been very bad like he’s been cul Peretti bad these last 12 games um you know I would like to see when eers is back I would like to see kind of a something like a pairing you know um Lambert with a fast player whether that’s Kyle Connor um whe or or that’s Nikolai eers it’d be nice if two of those guys could play together um you know I I would like to see you know neita Rider get a bump up to the top six at some point um you know that like something like playing on the line with shley and valard um you know throwing Nino up there he’s a driver um he’s driving the play you know a lot more than um you know Mark shley is with his injury right now um thought Gabe valard was a beast tonight um Gabe valard as we know was a very streaky player um so if he can if he’s kind of hot now for these next couple games that’d be great he had one plus one tonight and was fantastic was buzzing flying around the net um but yeah I just you can’t put Lambert and Peretti together together um and even like NES nikov you know cannot be a top six player um you know if the Jets are going to be successful like he’s a nestic COV is a very good utility player he can play up and down the lineup but you know um if you’re trying to like show off you know Brad Lambert’s talents um it can’t be with um just players like that like Brad Lambert’s a highly skilled um offensive threat very Speedy very um very north south um he needs kind of similar players to to play with so I would like to see a Connor if Connor and Lambert could be paired up um a game while eers is out and then when eers is back I’d like to see Lambert and eers play together and then throw whoever um on the wing uh Ty you keep saying things as I’m typing them I’m a big promote Nino guy yeah yeah Nino Nino Neer Rider is a driver uh and Nino NE Rider is um you know one of I would say that I would say he’s been a top five top six player on the Jets this season um you know which I’ve been saying um kind of all season um I know Nino was had a little bit of a Down year last year but uh you know Nino n rider is a fantastic player and I know that Adam Lowry and Appleton love having him on their line I know that they don’t necessarily want to break up the third line um you know but at some points you know you have to and whether that’s temporary or not um you know Neo NE Rider has you know essentially been stapled to the third line ever since he’s been um you know aside from the first when he first joined the team um you know the after the deadline last or two years ago um he’s pretty much been a third line player mainly and um he deserves to play top six here and there he certainly uh could use a bump up uh you know in the lineup uh he’s very Dynamic very like he a physical presence like you put him on a line with you know shle and valard he’s that physical guy that’s going to get the puck out of the corners and and give it get it to shley get it to valard or if he plays put Nino with Lambert put Nino with Lambert um get Peretti off the line at least you got you know a physical presence like that guy who can make plays who can shoot the puck and score um yeah I’m very high on Neo NE Rider he’s um he’s a he is kind of a Swiss army knife like the micov just a you know a much better uh much better version much better player um especially Brandon laar my man in the chat especially with how Baron and Kari have been going they seem like they have at least fresh legs right now not a permanent fix but a fresher look absolutely um Kari and baron have looked fantastic this year um you know so if that’s if Appleton has to go down to the fourth line if Peretti has to go down to the fourth line um that’s fine you know the fourth line can get regular minutes too you know to keep the keep the other guys fresh um you know this isn’t the Paul marce days anymore when the you know when the fourth line only plays five minutes um you know these are capable players that they’ve shown so far this season and if you put a you know a Peretti I’m me a skilled player um you know or Appleton know just they’ll be fine like like just let them give them a chance like let’s see some freshh lines um we got like we just can’t have Connor and shley stapled together all year you know we can’t have Peretti in the top six I haven’t even gotten to Logan Stanley yet we’re saving that for the third period Brendan like Brendan says 6255 Nino shle valard yeah that should be our line for a couple games let’s see let’s try it out that’s what I’ve been saying and then let Connor let Connor and Lambert cook you know they’re too they’re so fast they’re so fast and put I don’t know who to put on that line NES nikov aalo just anyone but Cole Peretti because Peretti is where like offense goes to die Let’s do an adre Let’s do an adre we’ll get to the next period because we haven’t even talked about the defense yet and I’ve been waiting to talk about the defense so game on Winnipeg which I hate Brandon I hate doing these ad reads for because we don’t have a game on Winnipeg doesn’t exist it’s coming I keep hearing that it’s coming um that Harrison Lee is going to be doing this but he ain’t doing them so game over has you covered after the game which is what you’re watching right now uh but in order to get ready to watch the Jets uh you’ve got to get your game on wrote for sure yeah the game on magazine that’s um Scott Taylor runs that I believe um I think I’ve had an article or two appear in there yeah check out the game on magazine it’s on kind of it’s not on new stands but you can find it kind of it’s a free magazine that you can find in hockey arenas around Winnipeg um at the icex I’ve kind of seen them um I think you can also view that Magazine online so yeah check it out uh check out the game on magazine and Peretti is the muffin man I’ve I’ve said that to my brother Braden before I’ve said that we all know that a shot is soft on the drive to the the game on uh Tuesday um me and Braden were both in a gra that you know we’d like to see Peretti traded um while he has some value um you know they like you know we’re seeing the trades that we saw for EUR um you know we’ve you know how hard it is to acquire you know a good top 4D or a good defensive prospect a right-handed defensive prospect um or just you know because if you look at Cole Peretti’s numbers um you know he produces okay because he plays top six minutes for the Jets like I think he has whatever TW 20 points or 19 points in 27 games whatever it is like so he does put up points here um but it’s a lot of uh you know empty calories you know there’s no peripherals he’s not getting the he doesn’t shoot much he doesn’t block and he doesn’t hit um and as I said before he has the two biggest fatal flaws he’s slow and he’s soft um and that just cannot do that cannot do I would trade cul Peretti ASAP while he has some value but that’s just me I think that we’re going to see Cole Peretti in the top six again and we better see Brad Lambert in the top six again on Saturday uh I’ll say that the defense Logan Stanley Jesus Christ um I will say like um um you know Hayden flurry who’s having to play a top four role um you know has looked all right I think he had another good game tonight um he’s kind of slowly I don’t love like I still don’t love Hayden flurry like he’s not in the lineup you know for a cup Contender he’s not in the lineup once um you know samberg’s healed um I still think um I don’t know I think fl’s like a 67 I don’t know why we’re still doing Stanley hola um you know I don’t is Colin Miller injured um if he’s not has he requested a trade like why is he sitting for this Stanley hola pair why are we still playing Logan Stanley um I don’t know Logan Stanley to his credit really tried to get more engaged I think tonight I think the coaching staff uh you know tried to light a fire under his butt um he fought uh he fought uh Gilbert some scrub from Buffalo in the second period he um you know was a little bit more more of a presence in the game I didn’t love that he was killing penalties he almost you know when he was kind of killing penalties in front of her net he almost took additional penalties multiple times um he just really scares me every time that he’s on the ice and as a fan like that ain’t good I should not be I should not be scared like that Logan Stanley is going to do something dumb or like cost us a goal or get burned for a minus um you know at least Billy’s making Billy play on his offside just so we can play Logan Stanley Billy we’re trying to give him a good luck and give him a run of games and see what we have and to his credit Billy’s holding his own he’s kind of going unnoticed um you know which is a good thing like I’m not noticing anything bad I’m not noticing much good you know he makes a good first pass um I like we we we got to take Logan St the out of the lineup um Mr arneal um you know on on Saturday like we really need to see Billy hola and Colin Miller as a third pairing and we just need to see that um we cannot just keep playing Logan Stanley like this uh Brendan says we really tried to be nice to Logan on our shows at some point it’s not as fault he’s playing yeah yeah it’s not his it’s not Logan’s fault he’s playing it’s um it’s kind of coaching coaching staff is uh continuing to give them these you know these looks these opportunities um I I really hated that quote arneil said that you know Logan’s not going to get better in our Press Box um it’s just uh they’re just really like Jets organization is really really really pushing for Logan Stanley to be a top six defenseman know for him not to be a bust you know but we’ve he’s had that we’ve given him the song and dance like he’s been you know he’s been a Jets player since like the bubble you know he’s you know from like the before Co he was playing for the Jets and he you know he’s had you know I guess spurts where he’s had um where he’s looked like a capable defenseman but you know the vast majority of the time you know he’s nothing more but a Fillin like a seventh eighth defenseman um and he keeps getting opportunities that uh you know he would not be getting if he was not 6′ 7 uh I don’t think that he would I think that he would be like you know in the ECHL or less if he was not if he was you know a six foot tall defenseman doesn’t have the IQ doesn’t have the brain um doesn’t have the skill doesn’t have the physicality for a 6’7 player if I’m being perfectly honest um so it’s at this point yeah Brandon it’s not on the player it’s on the it’s on the coaching staff in the organization um you know Logan Stanley has asked for a trade before um so I would try to get a six or seventh round pick for him uh and if not uh if they can’t get anything for him put him on waivers um um you know we have a guy named Elias salamonson you know we have a guy Simon lenmark who is a probably a much better defenseman than Logan Stanley that we haven’t seen um I would be and D we have Dylan cogin um who we’ve seen one game from and I would I’m comfortable in saying that I’d rather see Dylan cogin in the lineup um or at least as our seventh the over Logan Stanley um you know the Jets gave Christian veline in a 50 game run a couple years ago he put up two goals one assist was horrible uh and the Jets were able to cut ties with him sever ties with him he was a first round pick that they finally considered a bust uh you know it’s time to do the same with Logan Stanley I was going to say hey I hate to say it I don’t hate to say it um I think we’re all we’re all just pretty fed up with the situation um and we like to see it kind of come to a head I think you know either you know by this weekend or into next week’s games when the schedule gets a little tough for when they play uh Boston and Vegas at home uh Tuesday Thursday you know this weekend these weekends games against um you know Chicago and Columbus I think that we can continue to try to I guess try things out um and then like Boston and Vegas are going to be two tough games that the Jets really need to lock in for um let’s do one more ad read let’s put the merch up on the screen doesn’t that look good made that myself I don’t have all the graphics skill SK that uh Brendan has but I didn’t make that one um so that we’ll um we’ll let uh we’ll kind of wrap things up um it was good to be back I thought I had had some stuff to say um Brandon did a great job the last couple games um Winnipeg Jets will be back in action on Saturday after it’s an afterno afternoon game on the road um against the Chicago Blackhawks uh the game puck drops at 3:00 early start for all you people um and the Jets will look to be the first team in the NHL to win 20 games this season so we’re looking forward to that and it is a double header the Jets play the next uh on Sunday at 5 o’clock um back at home uh so that’ll be a quick turnaround I will be doing both of those games um and then Brendan will be doing uh Tuesday and Thursday against Boston and Vegas as yours truly uh we’ll be in the building those games which I’m looking forward to you know a couple tough Jets matchups could to be in the building for hopefully Brad Lambert’s still on the team then fingers crossed um thank you all for watching my name is Ty
