there are there’s been a lot of movement on the first base Market um and uh yeah so getting it started here let’s take a look at some of these early um these earlier uh chat I don’t know how this came in at 8:55 p.m. but it’s the top one it’s must be like an international time I guess um noan arado gets Trad the Yankees I doubt the Yankees go and trade for noan arado uh I I have a lot of doubts that the New York Yankees are gonna end up with Nolan arado ped will says let’s go Yankees pedo I hope you’re doing well uh oh that sounds is it PTO Pito one need more in one more one need one more borderline star infielder for third base preferably then we complete the circular lineup this is how the Yankees won the 90s they kept loading up on borderline stars and then they spread them to every position so yeah I think if the Yankees are able to get a high quality a borderline All-Star caliber player uh at the second base or first Third Base position then they’ll be significantly better and yes I will agree that this offense has a chance to be very good if they do that and that I’d be very happy with the outcome of the winter um and that I’d honestly I’d look at this winter and go hey two thumbs up we’ve got let’s go Yankees going here let’s go Yankees uh from Stephen look at sexy thank you Stephen take o spikes let’s go Yankees glad to see you around man got Nate Tony tickera in he’s got Paul gmid I just kind of shut down any uh boards I had with first base on either Trader fre agent Market I pivoted completely off the first base position was Paul gmid my number one guy no I’ve said that time and time again I did not view Paul goldmit as the top guy on my board I did not think he was the best fit for the New York Yankees uh but I think as the market has moved along as some of these players have landed in any places I’ve sat back and said all right um you know reading the market reading where they’re at I get it right you know I didn’t think Carlos Santana was gonna go back to Cleveland he did so now he’s back in Cleveland uh you know it’s hard for me to see that the Yankees would have been able to entice to join them more than the Guardians would the Guardians are the team that he debuted with he spent 10 major league Seasons there this is his third stint with Cleveland uh for me at least I feel like this is a strong indication that he wanted to go back there not and and it immediately got announced after n was traded uh I don’t know what you guys I started uh I stopped believing that Santana once he signed I immediately thought to myself I do not believe that Carl Santana wanted to join the New York Yankees but again I could have been wrong uh paranormal in the fun house says so good to see you I’m not doing well with my health I love your show very excited to be here though hey I’m sorry to hear that your Health’s not doing well man hope we can give you a good show and uh you know keep you entertained uh and of course keep you posted with the Yankees and and up to date and to answer your question not Nathaniel’s gone and there’s no other option to get another infielder like him who is the Yankees more or less going to get for the bullpen and infield by the end of the holidays if you can guess so yeah with Nate L off the board with the Yankees acquiring Paul Goldman what it suffice to say that the Yankees are going out and they’re going to acquire uh an infielder or they’re going to look to acquire an infielder no guarantee they will no guarantee that they’re going to end up with one there’s no way to guarantee that uh but you know I imagine the bullpen you know you want to just kind of upgrade your Bullpen as much as you can we got a super chat from greet and and I will get to that I will get to that in a second uh but to answer the question basically the way I look at it is um I think they’re G to focus on yes Bullpen infield infield at second and third so hope that answers your question well and if I could guess um I think Tim Hill coming back is the next move for the Yankees we’ve got Greek Greek Ste st2 with a $20 Super Chat Greek let me get you with the let me get you right with [Music] a appreciate night I believe it was final battle uh no not final battle excuse me it was a World’s End um I got see you know I’m not super tapped into wrestling I went with my buddy Dre um you know I’m still trying to get into the wrestling scene but yeah I’m aw that’s kind of where uh you know the two shows I’ve been to our aw shows it’s interesting you know I kind of viewed wrestling at first like oh like it’s scripted I don’t really care about this but man you get into it man when you when you’re at the crowds I feel like watching it in person uh or with uh you know friends it elevates the experience for sure uh definitely got a got a little uh swerve chant going whose house swerves house it was great man I almost lost my voice doing it but uh you know it was tons of fun I’d definitely recommend watching wrestling if you’re someone who likes kind of these um big atmospheres the crowds are super into it tons of passion it’s awesome man it’s really it’s a truly fun experience I’d recommend for anyone honestly um but again thank you for the Super Chat man Merry Christmas to you and yours uh and you know if you have any more wrestling Rel questions obviously you don’t have to Super chats ask them I’d love to uh kind of talk about that uh now noan ronado is someone who’s gains lot in this chat and so let me open up one of these comments um get no AR call the season so I’m firmly against no arado and now that we have uh now that uh we’re going to get into some player conversations uh and you know we always will pivot wherever we can to talk about uh players at various positions or various topics I kind of go off the rails here I’m going to present my screen and we’re going to uh we’re going to get into this with uh saon illustrator we’re going to share share my screen there we go we’ve got me just do it this way there we go so we’re going to share our screen here talk about noan arado noan arado there’s a couple of concerns I have with him and the main ones are right here now you look and go well all these home runs would leave Yankee Stadium right like why why are you really worried well um these three home runs if I’m not mistaken would not get out so that’s three you can scratch off the board maybe this ball gets out like like this is a maybe no I checked this ball doesn’t get out this ball wouldn’t get out it’s a lot of balls that won’t get out at Yankee Stadium it’s a lot of like just barely getting out of the yard barely getting out of the stadium the powers pull side there’s a lot of fly outs here um you know easily caught balls at Yan Stadium he’s got a great glove obviously and I just dropped my headphones uh that I had on my uh lap which I don’t know why I had them on my lap I’m trying like earbuds on right now so I can’t really monitor my audio the way I used to so if you hear any audio issues please let me know don’t be afraid to point them out um you know I I think uh Aron A’s swing path it it doesn’t really um it doesn’t really bode well for Yankee Stadium uh in terms of like batted ball profile like singles and hits I I question whether a lot of these balls going to drop the other thing for me that’s concerning we’re share this tab is the the declining batted ball data look at his exit vows over the last two years 88.8 88.8 and then you got 86.3 barel rate 3.2% expecting batting average 255 from consistently being at 266 the X slug it’s dropped um you know look at the chase rate the chase rate 39% percentile I know he’s never really been uh super patient hitter like 2023 wasn’t 2022 wasn’t I get that uh but you know personally I feel like if you’re not providing OBP uh you’ve got to provide slug if you’re not providing either you’re not particularly good offensively uh and I think again it’s not the right ballpark for his swing um his performance against fast balls have begun to decline that’s a sign that a player is on the decline it means their bat speeds kind of dropping off if you look at his bat speed it’s in the 28th percentile a little bit down from some previous years where he’s been known to have extremely Elite swing speeds um so you know again no arnado not someone that sucks and for the right Ballpark and the right team he’s certainly a great player he’s a great defensive player you know there’s no doubting that uh but I don’t think the Yankees interest in him is legit and I don’t think they view him as the right fit for their ballpark as of right now um and look this is a great point you know maybe a new team Sparks him to kind of you know give it a little more ump maybe he’s able to get it going a little bit uh but I I highly doubt that Aron’s problem is effort I think it has more to do with just the natural decline with age right and this is a great point he would have uh you know fewer home runs at an AL East ballpark um you know let’s let’s kind of look at this here he would have had fewer home runs this year in Baltimore granted that’s going to change a little bit with that new wall but you know still not great Boston Yankee Stadium Tropicana Field you got to ignore that because it’s going to just basically be Yankee Stadium it’s going to be George M Stein Brer field so it’s closer to this one that 12 home run one and then stays neutral at Toronto so that’s you know probably accounting for you know it’s seven games or six games that in Georg M Stein Brer field about six or seven in Fenway um about six or seven in Toronto I believe it’s seven actually seven each because I think the way it works I I could be wrong or six it’s something of that of that note um but point is um you know it’s those games add up right you’re talking about four different opponents six seven games that’s upwards of 20 games plus the 81 he’s going to play at Yanke Stadium that’s aund something games where he’s playing in ballparks that are not desirable for him that’s not something I’m necessarily buying in on if I’m the New York Yankees especially and and this is a great Point how can they afford him the Yankees are at 290 million right you know they’re going to be pushing they’re going to be going to that 310 threshold for a player who you know doesn’t really have the bat he wants to and I know yes his glove is Elite and that matters the Yankees need you know to be as sharp as they can defensively but you know I think the thing the Yankees were worse at that you know gener not generationally bad but the Yankees were historically bad at was base running value now we’re gonna look at base running value and this is something I’ve mentioned on the podcast um something I’ve talked about kind of you know as as as a team for the Yankees we’re gonna split years we’re g to go since this metric’s been tracked since 2016 look at where the Yankees are as a base running team they are the wait oh oh oh net bases game no Runner run sorry where is this these are one of the worst base running teams in baseball there’s like a metric for this let me get to the Super Chat here first we’ve got tiero one we get [Applause] a the [Music] godamn appreciate you man if you have a question you want to ask follow follow it up with a question don’t have doesn’t have to be a Super Chat of course uh and I’ll obviously uh respond and um you know get you that information whatever you’re asking for um now this is base I wanted to get base running run value yeah there we go this is running team um start year 2016 split years yes reason I’m mentioning base running values because and and hold on we got another question here family loves you man keep us going our tough times with sports over baseball season over you keep our minds on SP off the negative stuff thanks hey man I really appreciate the high the praise I appreciate uh that I can help you know I’d like to help however I can in terms of uh just providing you guys baseball content and uh you know keeping the spirits up uh but as it pertains to base running runs you know the Yankees were the second worst base running team of the stat cast era right so and then you look at the 2023 Yankees hey they’re one of also one of the worst teams and bad base running uh does hinder your ability to make the playoffs so um I decided to pull pull all these teams that finished with ne10 or worse uh Cardinals in 2018 didn’t make the playoffs Astros did one and done um they did not win a playoff game uh Mets didn’t make the playoffs in 2021 2023 Rockies nope nope nope nope nope nope nope nope nope nope nope nope nope nope nope yes one and done nope nope so these hilariously bad base running teams tend to not make the playoffs and tend to not do well in the play off so you know the reason the Yankees were able to get to the World Series despite being such a bad base running team number one I do think part of it has to do with obviously weaker American League you know let’s talk about the 2026 the 2016 Mets they dealt with the the Giants if they got past the Giants they the Cubs the Cubs in 2016 one of the best teams in baseball in baseball history honestly um you know you look at the 2024 Astros I guess you could argue you know they also have to deal with a weaker American League they didn’t get pass but they didn’t have the generational offense the Yankees did from Soto and judge right so uh if you want to be a better team without those guys um you know you have to find a way to produce runs uh and the Yankees just cannot stomach being this bad and that’s why Nolan arado you know he’s he’s super slow and you know this is a great PLL here either hsk Hassan Kim or heon Kim personally I think heon Kim is is a massive step back he’s not really that good of a player uh because of his ground ball rates but Hassan Kim definitely someone I’m very interested in because again we talk about addressing the Yankees needs you’re improving yourself offensively over what you have internally you’re much better defensively than gabber Torres and you’re significantly better on the base paths that’s going to matter you know the Yankees you know Paul gmid something I like a lot about Paul goldmit he’s a good base run he’s a Savvy base runner despite the fact that he’s someone who uh is slow and I think that he’s you know a good fit on the base pass for the Yankees um I think he’s got good pop you know he’s someone who obviously I’m not enamored with but I like enough that I would sit back and say you know what I’ll I’ll live with it Dominguez lead off for sure it’s a great question should Jason Dominguez lead off um I think you know he can become the lead off hitter but I would prefer for him to become the lead off hitter instead of you know immediately getting it we’re gonna talk about Jeff mcneel um in a second I just want to get to the super chat but Rory yes we will talk about Jeff mcneel and in fact we’re gonna talk about Jeff we’re so I’m so confident we’re gonna talk about Jeff mcneel we’re going to have his uh Savant page Series champion New York Yankee Santa hat rocking today I’m feeling a little festive let’s talk about Brennan Donovan we’re g share this tab instead uh Brennan Donovan obviously is a premier ball player Brennan Donovan is someone who I view as a very strong addition because of his defense because of his Bat because his Bat would play very well at Yankee Stadium he’s got very good bat to ball skills his his home run rate at Yankee Stadium you know he would have hit five more home runs he played all of his games there this is a high quality ball player this is someone who I view I hold in a very high high regard uh you know I don’t think he’s a superstar but I do think he’s capable of being a three to four War player may’ve been pushing a five War season you know look at these um excuse me look at these spray charts which we’ll pull up in a second um whenever this loads there we go spray chart and I know people talk about like why am I so obsessed with expected home runs it’s just because you want to make sure the player fits the ballpark I think fitting the ballpark is important for non-s Superstar players you know Juan stto I didn’t care that expected home run that he was going to hit fewer home runs in 2024 I didn’t care about that because I know Juan’s a gener player and that that doesn’t matter Aaron judge right like Aaron judge would hit more home runs if he play in Cincinnati well guess what he’s still one of the greatest hitters I’ve ever seen in Yankee Stadium a ballpark that fits W for him in right field but not necessarily in center field so uh you know someone like Donovan you know he’s a little he doesn’t have the power obviously at judge and SoDo have but look at that spray chart man it’s he’s gonna get all of his fly balls right field You Can Count him up start counting the home runs one two three uh I think there’s two underneath here right there’s two bed balls yeah there’s two one two three four five six seven eight nine like H the home runs Galore so uh you know Brendan Donovan rocks I would love Brendon Donovan and New York Yankees that’s someone that Alex and I on the podcast have discussed frequently if you don’t check out our questions here H Josh Roos now Josh Roos is more of like a flyer player uh flyer player meaning like he’s someone you’re taking a ticket on and saying hey can he be good uh over the past two seasons he’s been a below average hitter but the thing that enticed you about him the base running and the glove uh let’s get the glove here um he is a very strong defensive player at third base uh I’m trying to get the there we go very strong defensive player at third base solid Defender at second base never play him at shortstop that kind of guy but you know maybe that pulls side contact uh can work at Yankee Stadium entering his age3 season though we’ll see we got another Super Chat from Weston family okay who is the best truly available guy to get based on hit and defense Hassan Kim obviously you have to ditch money somewhere else Weston family before I answer your question I owe you a very good the godamn [Music] and now first off thank you for the Super Chat thank you appreciate you again you guys have been beyond generous it’s crazy uh and then I’m also gonna increase my chair height uh because my chair height is super low Hassan Kim we’re GNA talk about Hassan Kim so I think Hassan Kim is the best available option for the Yankees in the middle in field um now if the Yankees can’t acquire the reasons I don’t know the Yankees can acquire a hoton Kim has to do with a um the fact that you could get paid Short Stop money now what does that mean what is shortstop money shortstop money means that teams typically pay more for Short Stops per war than pay for second baseman or third baseman so if a team is interested in Hassan Kim at shortstop there’s a better chance that that team’s gonna make a higher offer than the Yankees who would not play Hassan Kim at shortstop they would play him at second base and or third base now he can play shortstop but again it doesn’t make much sense to assume that the Yankees would make a higher offer than teams who have active needs at shortstop such as the Dodgers maybe the Braves teams of that nature now if he’s not available if he can’t be acquired and let’s say the Dodgers acquire him someone that I have taken an interest to as of late is Gavin Lux now Gavin Lux this past season you might go Ryan a League average hitter why is this the player that you’re interested in the reason is number one youth number two solid enough base runner number three in his career he has been an above average Defender granted this past season he wasn’t but I think part of it was him getting adjusted after the lug injury suffered he had an a El and uh when you look at some of the things he did really well down the stretch look at some of these second half numbers um in the second half this season Gavin licks was awesome you know the first half was a struggle second half was was way better first half 60 wrrc plus second half 152 what changed look at that power increase look at how much power he was hitting for why did that happen uh let’s get to and we’re gonna talk about Jeff McNeil I see that Savant tab open so it’s my reminder my Q um so he’s injured wi is he badly wanted the reason I say that is because uh he should be back in late April Corner Jeff passing and he’s such a great defensive player it’s elite defense even if the bat isn’t great the bat has consistently been very very solid over the last three years though you know you know you’re getting a premium player defensively and on the base path he can steal 40 bases um you know if he gets 40 steals Gold Glove defense and you know he High OBP guy you get like a 105 WRC plus um man that would be quite the outcome right that would be quite the outcome that’s the kind of player Who Um can really help your ball club and really make you uh you know just a much better team and we’re going to remove is not a bun is not a competitive swing okay shares tap instead now this is a great question Lux of arado is hilarious let me explain why it’s not let me explain why this is a logical uh a logic a logic based or an information based take now if you look at a swing speeds they increase kind of Midway through the season his Barrel rates increase um if you look at what was able to do again with his swing changes and we’re going to use competitive swings here I unlicked it for some reason thinking I was looking at the wrong M wrong that trick um so for competitive swings what are competitive swings they’re basically like not swords or whatever it may be uh look at that swing speed Spike 70 miles an hour to oh my gosh this guy’s consistently getting that 71 72 mile per hour range that’s significant boost right we saw 70 mes an hour is is close to the bottom percentiles 72 miles an hour talking about those upper percent tiles he’s driving the ball to the air he’s hitting the ball hard Gavin luxs crushed the ball in the second half he’s someone who I hold the high regard and also entering his age 27 season he turned 27 a couple of about a month ago at this point um someone who I think the Yankees should Target if the Dodgers are to get hang Kim because he’s a left-handed bat a young player good good base running uh skills solid Defender doesn’t improve the ground ball rate that is a problem but he can hit the ball pretty hard and he can hit it in the air uh and Yankee sta may do him very well if he’s able to tap into that pulls side power like he did in the second half where would you say the odds are on gber coming back ah yeah you know I’d say it’s 1% right like you can never I guess you can never rule anything out but I’d say it’s 1% right I I I I I’ve said this on Twitter and I’ve kind of been like going back and forth people all day on this with Twitter um I feel like people are so against bringing glaber back and like I am against it at the right at the wrong like given the current state of the market but man I’m not against it if the option is bring back labor or do nothing right that’s that’s where I’m at with the glaber market uh as it pertains to glaber Torres now I wanted to look at some of the things um Gavin Lux did well in the second half lifting the ball more look at that ground ball rate 38.6% look at the pull rate right pull rate’s 40% man that’s a guy who’s just crushing the ball that’s a dude who’s just humming right when your guy’s just straight huming he’s he’s hitting balls in the air he’s crushing balls in the air and he’s a left-handed hitter you want that kind of player in your ballpark if especially for the Yankees would you trade heel or Dominguez for Vlad Gro Jr if he fails to be extended by the blue J that is a great question chat I want to ask chat as well are the chat would you guys trade one of Luis heel or Jason Dominguez one year Vlad gero Jr I would trade luio for one year Vlad gero Jr the only problem is you can’t like doing it now after you sign gold obviously that’s clearly out of the cards but if you’re asking me like before we signed goldmit man you’d have to consider it right you’d have to consider it you’d have to consider it he is a premium player the only thing is I’m not sure I’m willing to pay the free agent price tag um I I’m not sure if I’ve ever vocalized how I feel about Vlad G Jr um you know long term but his inconsistent offensive production the fact that he’s not a good defensive first base he’s one of the worst uh and the fact that he’s ticketed for dhpt to me at least I’m not necessarily convinced that we should be paying record setting money for him uh so I guess that also means I shouldn’t trade for him which yeah I guess I get I mean for Luis heeldo it’s tough It’s tough it’s a tough ask I think because the Yanke because I don’t think the Yankees should I don’t think the Yankees should trade the world for Vlad nor do I think they will because I don’t want to I don’t think he’s he’s someone the Yankees would pay $500 million to um but you know we’ll see we’ll see I mean I think Vlad staying with the Blue Jays I don’t think for now at least I don’t think he’ll sign with the Yankees next winter I don’t think that’s uh something that is very feasible his public comments against the Yankees I think he does actually have something against us so yeah I don’t I don’t particularly view him Mone the Yankees are gonna sign so I guess the Yankees shouldn’t be the one who go out who goes out and gets him right um it’s I know it’s a complicated answer that’s kind of sitting on the on the fence a little bit but it’s definitely difficult for sure um I don’t think he’s gonna overr estimate his Market I think a team will give him the money he’s looking for um if he has the year that he had last year because teams love Sluggers they love very wrong um PES had the bat his CL was marginal can’t be any worse than glaber yes yes he can absolutely can be worse than glaber um absolutely can be absolutely can be that’s why I disagree um thoughts on muneka murakami um so let’s talk about murakami we gonna pull up share this let me just share this tab um so obviously mami’s Ops each of the last two seasons has declined he went from you know arguably the best hitter in Japan to a good hitter not a great one um but there’s a couple of things that play here uh they’re in a dead ball era in the mpb but the thing that I really that kind of really scares me about murakami is the contact rates his contact rates are bad his contact rates are really bad for the mpb um one would imagine that facing higher velocity at the major league level facing better pitchers with better stuff better riding fast balls better breaking balls better sequencing all that stuff better technology um a higher you know a greater pool of talent to select out of because the you know Major League Baseball’s full of top players from across the world not saying the mpb isn’t full of top players internationally as well you do have a lot of really good Cuban players but the Yankee you know Yankees Major League the Yankee standing it and how aggressive the Inc would be in trading with the Rays there’s no understanding that the rays are desperate to move La there’s no understand the Rays feel like they have to move L but as a highfly ball hitter as a guy who can hit some line drives the guy who hits the ball really hard um he’s someone who I would absolutely love for the Yankees uh in their infield know defensively a lot of question marks eight defensive runs saved negative eight defensive runs saved negative nine outs above average but I find this interesting played a little bit at first base last year um something wrong with my audio please let me know if something’s wrong with my audio uh if someone can confirm that that’s wrong there um but yeah you know Brandon hits the crap out of the ball he’s got injury issues sure but you know the thing that you like is that next year he only owed $10 million and then you have a club option for 2026 if he plays well you get him for $10 million again if he doesn’t just cut him loose so um yeah Korea Korea deal dead the Yankees never had a deal going Korea for my understanding um so yeah uh let’s see um Hassan Kim we talked about Hassan Kim we we mentioned you know I think he’s a really fun player for the Yankees I think he’d be someone who makes the Yankees a lot better for sure uh you know let’s look at again the uh shortstop or not short stop yeah Short Stop position because that’s where he’s filtered in um I mean as someone who’s played shortstop Kim is one of the bet you know he’s he’s among one of the better shortstops in the league uh 10 War over three years is really good he’s someone who plays Elite second base and Elite third base defense um look at these defensive numbers for a second wow right these are gy um you got nine defensive run saved at third in 500 Innings 24 at Short in 20 2,500 Innings and 15 at second in a th000 Innings that’s that’s special stuff guys he’s an excellent player um are the Yankees G do a low level move D to due to the luxury taxs that’s a great question I wonder if they are I kind of Imagine Yankees are done swimming in those the the markets with uh you know teams like you know teams with with with players like bregman I don’t think that that’s going to happen so um yeah and I I I don’t know I don’t think you are signing Alex bregman for that reason I don’t know if that keeps him out of like Hassan Kim’s Market but you know if that’s the case we’ll see um you know I also just saw you know some comment about this Raiders win Giants have the number one overall pick uh I forgot season uh a 4.31 ra uh a 4.62 FIP 4.50 xfit 4.74 skill interactive ra he did not hit the I once this year he threw 150 Innings he would have thrown more if not for how poor he was pitching and how quality the in how high quality the in’s rotation was towards the end uh the problem I have with strowman and his contract is obviously this vesting option but I think the Yankees can offload some of the money not all of it by attaching a player of interest um now this is an interesting point there’s a way we can offload strowman a three-way trade Diamondbacks Yankees Cardinals uh the Yankees do not the Yankees tried to trade strowman to the Cardinals that did not work even for ronado I think the only way the Dbacks would take in uh strowman is if the Yankees took on Montgomery and I don’t think that’s happening so um you know I don’t think that that’s the situation I don’t think the gonna end up getting I don’t think is gonna end up fitting strowman into a deal with Arizona but the teams who I think could kind of profile well for a shman trade now the Mets would make sense just purely money rotation all that stuff but you know obviously strowman’s been there before I think he’s burned that bridge I don’t think the Mets are dipping back into that pool um if you look at teams that have bad starting pitching could the Angels be a team you know that absorbs some of that money could the Athletics who you know are trying to avoid the lbpa kind of being on their ass or they’re gonna are they gonna go out and get uh you know try to take on some strowman’s money um you know there are teams that have poor projected rotations I wonder if the Yankees are going to be able to dump that onto another team we’ll see you know it’s going to be very interesting to watch uh the navigate that market but it seems like they’re very dead set on like we need to trade this guy need to get this guy out of here uh which makes sense I would agree I think you know the Yankees need to move on from strowman he needs he would probably prefer to be somewhere else we can start so um yeah I agree Oakland doesn’t care they just want money once again asking about yeno Suarez again for heno Suarez the Yankees would probably have to provide um pitching Talent uh now is Suarez going for Lever I don’t think so the Diamondbacks Bullpen very good obviously the fit is great 115 WRC plus 30 home runs solid enough defense at third base that’d be great but the Yankees are not going to be able in my opinion to um you know acquire Suarez because I don’t think they match up particularly well uh with the uh Diamondbacks in a trade because with the Diamondbacks in is starting pitching with the Yankees already kind of set in stone is the rotation maybe the ACT offered will Warren uh but positive defensive third baseman if all those strides click he is only 28 years old I would love to add him into the middle of the lineup uh the only thing is the Phillies are asking for the moon for him I thought they would rage trade him I thought the Phillies would say we’ll trade him for anything we can get we’ll trade him for any we’ll trade him for Mason Miller well excuse me we’ll trade him for you know Jake cousins and I Hamilton you know relievers of with control nope they asked for Mason Miller from the Athletics they asked for Bryce I believe was it Logan Gilbert from the Mariners they tried to include him as the headliner for Kyle Tucker Oh My Gosh right so you know Alec bulm now if the Phillies wisen up and they realize that Alec B was not getting the Mason Miller I would certainly be interested because I think controllable relief Talent could appeal to them they lost a good chunk of some of their Bullpen production but Jeff hoopin being a a free agent and car esz being a free agent but with that being said if you don’t move off that price point I don’t see the Yankees getting him but if they do and if this circles around and if this kind of falls into their lap in my opinion it’s an attractive get for the Yankees he’s a good projections player 111 WRC plus you know the defense improved again I know that he’s not a popular player but he’s someone in my opinion who you know yes he has issues um I understand and yes they might ask actually ask for judge for him uh I understand there are issues maturity wise but I’m willing to stomach them I think the Yankees have shown an ability to stomach uh maturity issues in their Clubhouse and absorb that stuff so I’m not particularly uh not particularly concerned about that stuff Show’s contract was not a good one to start with and investing option is I I disagree I didn’t think it was bad at the time he just lost like this there we go like that like this there we go um I don’t think he uh I just he lost his vo immediately his stuff scores went down and he declined with it this is a good point would you hold on to strowman look I have no problem waiting I’m not in a rush to dump strowman I’m not a rush to do anything if I’m the New York Yankees I am not a rush make any trade any signing the only Market the Yankees have to worry about is the second base and third base Market until players fly off the board there if bregman go I’m still not worried because the Yankees aren’t getting out I’m only worried if that like one year twoyear rental market for trade pieces if even hosong Kim comes the Yankees aren’t involved there so I have no problem with them holding on to strowman saying yep let’s wait to see what rotations we have uh and what injuries we have what injuries other teams have and what teams willing to do to import starting pitching that’s a great Point John I agree there’s no reason to be in a desperate Rush by the way I’m hearing rumors about the Astros sign Corbin Burns I doubt that because the Astros don’t hand out deals Beyond six years and burns is looking for Beyond six years of a deal unless of course sign some three-year High deal which if they do that that’s good for them I guess I don’t know we shall see um we shall see let me see I’m going to pull up um see would you be okay with arado if Ryan Hy was in the deal um the way I look at it is I don’t think Iron’s worth it for Helly and because Hy’s a one-year reliever um if he was a multi-year reliever if Hy was a three-year guy if you could get Donovan in this deal if you could get even Lis Newar before we acquired Cody Bellinger yeah I’d be in it for it but I don’t think there’s a combination of players that the Yankees could get that makes much sense for them at this point in time so um yeah I’m I’m a hard pass on that uh for now that’s just how I feel at the moment again I could be wrong I’m not always right I’m not always right I don’t try to parade myself as someone who’s like always right uh yeah kind of where my heads that I just don’t think’s player that I’m like super I’m like burnt out to get outside of of course uh Donovan bom is above excuse me bom is above average but not that high on screen I’d like to see him in pin stripes as he might fit here in here don’t overpay though I agree don’t like force that you know this is a great Point bregman saw more strikes than ever and did less damage bad combo would be an awful deal the the reason that that’s such a bad combination and although I did mention that he improved his ability to do damage on contact and that’s something that maybe he does carry into 2025 uh you know if you’re a player and teams pitch to you more than they did the year prior that’s not going to change you have to punish pitchers when they do that right uh if a pitcher throws Aaron judge pitches in the zone more often if the league as a whole did that they he would put up bigger numbers or at least bigger slug numbers and then teams would adjust by not pitching him in zone They bregman has to show that he can force pitchers to not pitch in zone that’s kind of where I’m at so um yeah uh that’s where I’m at let’s see what Yankees do with DJ realistic that is DFA him right DFA him uh Spencer Jones and Warren for bone is that fair uh probably right like I I would say that’s what the Phillies like if the Phillies got that offer I feel like you know the Yankees would be giving up a decent amount of capital and the Phillies would be getting a decent amount of capital I know that people are going to go like you can’t trade Jones for Bowman know that’s fair I I I would hesit if you’re a Yankee fan going I wouldn’t do this that’s fair uh you know it’s a lot to go up for Alec bow but it’s what you know it’s a two-year player it’s a two-year player at with with cost controlled salary um you know that’s valuable to teams granted his tracker production is not strong enough to H yeah you know what thinking talking about this out loud not sure it’s if it was Warren for bow I think that’s a fair deal is is that a fair deal Warren for bow is that a fair deal I think that is a fair deal casman blows in the trade market I disagree depth because we know Stan’s gonna miss some time and Jason may wash out Peterson’s great in the for great in the Outfield DH rotation still need to spend on second base third base and left relief pitcher I don’t believe you can look at uh jock Peterson as reliable option for you in the Outfield he cannot play The Outfield he did not play a single game in the Outfield this past season that’s an to me that’s an indication that um he’s not a player you know what I mean like to me that’s that’s an indication he’s not a great he’s not like that guy you know what I mean I’m not particularly burnt out for uh jock Peterson because of the defense the fit I think the bat is perfect but he can’t hold hold hang in the Outfield um I do agree that you would like some depth DH but I think you know gold Schmid Bellinger rice provide that because if Stanton goes down you can DH gold Schmid or you can DH uh rice put Goldman at first and put Bellinger in left uh or DH judge Bellinger and Wright I would like to get like I think the thing you’d want to do is get a nice def uh competent fourth outfielder unless you believe in Grisham which is fair too DJ’s not an option I agree DJ’s not a good player the Yankees cannot roll into the season what they have currently right now in uh the roster at second or third do you feel strongly about having Jazz move back to second base how big is it of a difference to us defensively long term I feel strongly about him being at second or third I don’t care where it is um I think that jazz at second makes sense because of his range but he also make sense at third because of his arm right he has two standout he has two standout traits as a player or as a Defender excuse me it’s his glove and it’s his it’s his range and it’s his arm as long as both those things are still there you can play at second because is going to you know cover tons of ground you can play him at third because he’s going to make throws that other guys just simply cannot make he’s got ridiculous arm Talent he’s got ridiculous range he’s an unbelievable athlete he’s a ridiculous ball love a lot second I agree play not Nate low trade where the Yankees in on low he’s got tons of raw pop hot pop he’s have to get him to lift the ball a little bit more and pull the ball to left field a little more as well does George lar junr fit on this Rost with vul at shortstop uh he could play second or third you never know who’s gonna what’s gonna happen at second or third Jazz free agent you know I think in two years yeah two years George lar Jr in two years is gonna be in you know he’s gonna be 21 entering his age you know turning 22 in that June he may not be a big leager by then right he could be entering his big league window so you know does you don’t have to trade him to make a fit on the roster you just trade him if makes sense uh or you keep him if it makes sense Yankees will pull off tner scott watch I don’t think so if they do that’d be a to be their starting second baseman basically at one point that he was gonna be up the middle it’s gonna be him and vulpi did not happen right uh you know he talked about Durban right durban’s gonna be a starting second baseman he got traded so um yeah I don’t know I don’t really feel a reason to believe that Brian cashman’s talking about pazza because he genuinely wants to start roswald pazza the actions have indicated they don’t really believe in him so yeah what’s your most realistic scenario for the Yankees last infield spot also are you upset with Goldie for what the package for was
