the New York Yankees have gotten a massive Juan sto update from Insider Jack Curry who has revealed the New York Yankees and Juan sto have been in a lot of talks and that a deal could be coming soon resigning Juan sto for essentially the rest of his career with the New York Yankees and we’re going to break this down so what’s up guys welcome back to Yankees digest it’s Chris here yes I’m in a ton of Nick stuff and we’re going to jump right into the video as we always do but guys real quick also make sure to subscribe to the channel it helps us out a ton we have 16% of viewers watching this subscribed let’s get those numbers up it’s the offseason it’s the season of giving give us your subscription it would really help out but guys let’s jump into it we have a lot to talk about considering Juan stto there’s a lot going on with the man I mean Jack curry went out there and said last night that there’s been several productive meetings between the New York Yankees and stto they have offers over 600 million dollars and want them back they’ve had talks with Corbin Burns and Max freed they love Cody Bellinger for first baseman they’re not interested in Nolan arnado and they are interested in Willie Adams so obviously that’s a lot to just jump off with and talk about but it’s about that guy Juan sto more than anything else before any of the other dominoes fall in free agency or any real Domino’s fall in free agency Juan sto is going to make his decision that decision in my mind is going to be either the New York Yankees or the New York Mets and unfortunately I’m in New York Mets colors right now and I’m literally talking about how I think he going to go back to the Yankees if you’ve been watching this channel for the past couple months you know I’m very back and forth on this during the season I was convinced so it was staying then I thought he was going to the Mets now I kind of think it’s a coin flip slightly favoring the Yankees and now seeing this from Jack Curry I’m pretty confident that Juan stto is going to be resigning with the Yankees because he wants to be a New York Yankee now looking at the full quote from Jack Curry of what he said he mentioned that the Yankees have been very comfortable with the presentation and the process that they have had with stto they feel they’ve made this a priority they have put their best foot forward and they say that they are comfortable with whatever decision he ends up making because they feel they have sent the message to him they want him in they want him in New York and as Curry said when you’re swimming in these waters you know you’re willing to go to that level to pay him and they’re trying to send that message that they want him back in right field and they want him there for a long time I mean you have to bring wano back there’s no offens or about it I’ve said this million times you there’s no way to have a good off season that doesn’t involve the Yankees resigning stto it’s just the way things are Juan stto is too valuable to this team you traded for him and the and I mean you made the fraking World Series like you can screw this up and understandably the New York bets have that insane amount of money from Steve Cohen but at the same time that’s not an unbeatable thing if stto wants to go to wants to stay in New York especially when considering is Steve Cohen really going to offer him $800 million if he does then whatever you can’t do you can’t do anything about it Yankees lose woto you go out there you sign Corbin Burns you sign or Max freed you sign a bunch of other talents also and you make some trades and then you try to salvage the team around that and add as many win shares as stto brought by himself but I don’t think Steve Cohen’s gonna do that I really don’t I think he’ll pivot I think he’ll pivot before that happens I truly believe that and it feels like stto just wants to be a New York Yankee that’s the vibe that everyone’s gotten and Soo I mean in his season with the Yankees he went insane he had the most home runs he’s ever had in the season with 41 he had 109 RBIs the man had no PS of 989 which is one of the highest in baseball and he had no PS plus of 178 Minds you the average is 100 so he just absolutely blew that out of the water almost doubled it which is insane Juan sto is a phenomenal phenomenal baseball player he’s only getting better he just turns 26 not that long ago if the Yankees sign him into going to be to a massive deal and something that Curry mentioned is that the Yankees have had several productive meetings with stto that I’ve already mentioned and Jack Curry said that he feels the Yankees have done everything to prioritize him and thinks it’ll be a $46 million per year deal for 12 to 14 years and he thinks that it’s near the finish line and that next week at the winter meetings stto will make the decision so we’re one week out from Juan sto’s decision that’s probably going to be the New York Yankees It’s look I stand by this is between the New York Yankees and the New York Mets and that’s something that Jack Curry also mentioned that it’s probably between these two teams and that makes perfect sense I mean looking at it obviously Juan stto is going to be deciding between one of these two teams he liked his time in New York the Red Sox are not good the Blue Jays aren’t bad but it’s not like they’re great you really if you’re wano are you going to leave a massive Market in New York and I’m saying not the Yankees I mean I leaving New York is in not signing with the Yankees or the Mets you really going leave that massive Market in New York that happens to be one of the biggest Spanish speaking areas in all of America understand there’s California but he doesn’t want to go out to California is what it seems like you really think he’s going to do all that to go to a smaller Market where both the teams in New York are better than the Red Sox and the Blue Jays it just doesn’t add up it doesn’t make sense woto made it very clear that he wants money and he wants to win those two things are what matters he’s not signing with some bad team and the Red Sox are good yeah they told soda that they’d get a lot more Talent around him that’s a okay you need a lot to compete the Red Sox are not close to competing I get their Farm systems good but stto wants to win now he doesn’t want to sit around and twiddle his dumbs for a few years waiting for players to get good it’s one of the reasons why Jason Dominguez seemingly is available for trade with the New York Yankees it just makes you think that he definitely not leaving New York and I imagine he’s probably not leaving the Yankees at this point it’s very clear to me that Wan sto wants to be a New York Yankee and like what I talked about a couple days ago with what Evan Roberts said about the whole there’s a he feels like it’s probably some sort of deal where Juan stto just wants to wants to use the Mets as leverage to get more money from the Yankees or that’s what Scott Boris wants and Soto wants as much money from the Yankees as possible because he wants to go there it does add up a lot of this comes back to it adding up the Mets are just being used which is really really really funny it’s just hilarious I mean come on it’s pretty funny that that’s happening now also as Jack Curry mentioned there’s a ton of other names who got thrown out there along with Juan SoDo now Curry mentioned that Corbin Burns is some of the Yankees are interested in Burns who pitched a year with Baltimore it’s hard to imagine Baltimore not retaining him after trading for him just one year prior similar to the Yankees and Soto obviously Soto’s far better at hitting than Corbin Burns is at pitching though Burns also last season put up a 2.92 ra the man’s phenomenal I’d love for the Yankees to get him because it also weakens the Orioles who are the biggest threat to the Yankees division title so I would love this I’d love it more than Max freed who has actually had one of the worst eras he’s had over the last few years his last two years prior to this it was under three this year was 3.25 which also you can’t complain about when a man’s had a career average of 3.07 so obviously again also he’s a lefty i’ I’d be thrilled if the Yankees could get either of these two onto their team and when looking at a guy like Willie Adams he does solve a lot of problems everywhere both in the field and also can hit a home run a lot so he’s someone interesting to bring in if the Yankees decide to bring him in it feels like they probably won’t bring him in if they bring back SoDo but you never know I mean it depends on where the Yankees want to go financially you still need some infielding I mean as you guys might have seen on ugo’s last video that he made on this channel Rizzo and Torres are gone so you’re going to need to go out there and get some infielding now especially they already needed infielding but now I mean you have vuli you have Chisum it feels like the Yankees would like to move jazz Chisum to second base but they’re fine with him at third you have to go out there and sign some sort of infielder whether it’s a second baseman or third baseman and then you also need some sort of first baseman I mean that’s easier and speaking of as Jack Curry mentioned the Yankees Love Cody Bellinger for that role Bellinger obviously a great player was better a couple years ago when he won MVP but he kind of figured it back out on the Chicago Cubs hitting with a 751 Ops and an Ops plus of 111 I mean the guy is still a great player he’s a great Lefty bat to have definitely fills out the latter half of your rot of your batting order for the Yankees it’s a great move I would love it I think it’d be a nice trade it just depends on the cost for Bellinger it might be too much but the Cubs do want to trade him so it is very interesting to consider all this but the big news obviously stands by with that Jack Curry revealing the fact that Wan sto is most likely staying in New York I hope he does and if he doesn’t well I’m probably just going to drink while doing the video on the fact that Wan stto left but sounds like that probably won’t have to happen but I’ll keep you updated on that so make sure to subscribe guys like this video turn on post notifications have a great day and go Yankees and nicks I mean I got the whole Garb on right now about doing Nick DOD this video in all honesty
