what is up everyone I’m Ryan for Fireside Yankees and in today’s episode we have a lot to talk about a lot to talk about on this uh live stream um we haven’t streamed in a couple days haven’t been around haven’t been able to uh you know hop on the stream uh did talk about this weekend being a little bit more busy than most for me on my personal side uh nothing wrong just uh you know spending time with the family all that stuff uh but with that being said you know I’m really excited to talk about today’s episode really excited or excuse me to get into today’s episode to kind of get into some of the rumors uh from over the past week now the Yankees uh haven’t made any moves obviously you know there’s nothing that’s new uh I know they made like I think they made a minor league signing for a uh outfielder a triaa outfielder but uh it’s someone who hasn’t made their Major League debut uh so it’s not someone that I uh think um we are going to spend like a ton of time discussing uh but with that being said uh I’m just tweeting out the link I apologize I’m all over the place right now my mic was giving me got some troubles the cables give me troubles which I think is just because I have a new mic uh XLR cables do not buy cheap XLR cables guys uh but with that being said who’s here tonight we have sha Browning we have Brandon Moore state of the franchise gaming fall noers Anonymous Graham Highlander uh we have Mikey boy7 we did talk about brenon Davis that did happen um in our previous live stream not during it it happened uh you know it happened uh excuse me for lack of better terms uh before that episode we’re not talk we can talk about Brendan Davis but he’s not the player I’m referring to uh his the guy’s name it’s it’s it’s a very it’s a very unique name I wanted to get it right so I didn’t want to like blurt it out and completely mispronounce it uh but with that being said uh state of the franchise mentions uh no excuse me uh Brandon Moore mentioned uh legendary uh football announcer broadcaster media uh pres uh media uh member there are a lot of different terms you can use to kind of label what Greg was doing in his beia career he passed away uh Ricky Henderson passed away we talked about Henderson a little bit in in uh one of the live streams earlier in the week um obviously prayers out to uh Greg and his family um obviously you know it’s it has been a tough week for losw jimy cardig obviously passed away uh rest peace to his him and you know Parish his family and all that um yeah the Giants won uh that sucked too uh not to the same extent as someone dying of course but um you know lot of I guess there’s a lot of non-baseball stuff going on right now uh but talking about the Yankees answering some Yankee questions here and yes again we will talk about Brennan Davis b ball noers Anonymous says first question to people stop saying Jazz needs to move the second base he’s a freak athlete put him out there and he’ll be a good Defender now look I personally don’t really care where he plays like I can see the argument for second base I can see the argument for third base uh the reason I say that is because he has a phenomenal arm um and again he has uh you know just a great ability you know his range at seconds great his his tools or his skill set in the infield is extremely valuable on the defensive side of the ball um I don’t necessarily think the Yankees are in a situation where they need to care about where he’s playing defensively whether it’s second or third I think they just need to care they’re getting the best possible infielder whether that’s second uh or of course Third Base uh but with that being said you know I I really I agree with you I I this is uh Ken if you guys aren’t aware uh Ken was is on some of our live streams he stops by uh he has his Ballers anous podcast basically I I just don’t think there’s a need to care where he’s playing at second or third I just think there’s a need at second or third you just get the best player available at either position uh of course the Yankees aren’t going to get Alex bregman I think he’s the best player on the board uh but I get why they’re not giving him a 67-year deal I get why he’s not going to be a New York Yankee um I get why other teams may have more aggressive offers um and then again you know I I think kassan Kim is the best player on the board uh for the he’s among realistic targets kind of valuing you know if you weigh in uh cost to acquire the player there’s no qualifying offer he’s not going to get a ton of money uh and he is in my opinion um true truly and I I truly mean this truly one of the most talented defensive players I’ve seen play the infield uh in the last decade Davis ID say it’s interesting it might be it might be a move to allow Grisham or perea to be moved so and I want to start this off by saying I don’t think Ben Davis is on the 40 man roster and I don’t think he’s the kind of defensive player who can get Grisham off the roster he also has a storied injury history the whole reason Bren and Davis I think isn’t regular Major League contributor in ENT during his age 25 season or hasn’t made his major league debut is because of Health I mean even this year you start off the year ripping hot I mean he had like a 140 WRC Plus in Triple A looked like he would get the chance to play at the major leagues especially with the Cubs getting off to a bad start but then he had an a back fracture missed a ton of time comes September doesn’t look the same and then of course you know has the had an an ankle fracture ended his season it’s a minor league deal um and you know I love the upside here Davis has a ton of Pop he crushes the ball uh he’s a he’s a good athlete uh but I I think that the Yankees are going to hold on to Gish or Pereira not not hold on to Pereira but I think they’ll hold on to Grisham if they can’t get anything back for him or they don’t get all $5 million uh removed off the payroll uh and also I don’t know what the move is that’s going to make them want to trade Grisham I’d have to see them do something first I also think they should make a move to acquire a player um before and I think it should make a move to acquire player not just wait for them to open up some salary that’s that’s another take I have but that’s irrelevant to the point um and then in regards to Pereira I don’t necessarily believe Everson Pereira is being held out of trade conversations I just think the Yankees would prefer to uh you know I think the Yankees would prefer to hold on to him if they to see if he can rebuild any value because I think people have given up on him way too soon he’s like 24 right uh he missed a whole year of development because of Tommy John surgery he was a top 100 Prospect I don’t necessarily believe it’s fair to um you know completely discount the ability of for him to be a major League caliber player just yet um but Andrew nardy to the Yankees uh yeah so Andrew nardy I don’t think is I I haven’t heard any smoke that Andrew nardy and the Yankees are think and that’s not me saying I have sourced I mean like public smoke I haven’t seen like a jack Curry a Brian hul any of those people link the Yankees to Andrew nardy but uh obviously he would be a huge help we’re gonna talk about Tim Hill and Andrew Chaffin in this episode because Andrew chaen and Tim Hill have been publicly linked to the Yankees that was I don’t know if that’s a headlining story uh you know I understand it’s not like we’re we’re in the dead of the Yankee offseason right now they have really one position group of note to fill out in that second base Third Base the bullpen know you know I think we all kind of assume the YK are gonna have a good Bullpen because they always do uh even in years where they have horrible outcomes uh from some some of their relievers uh but I guess another piece of big news glabber Torres signed with the Detroit Tigers he signed a oneye $15 million deal now I said this on this live stream I’ve said this on the fire shine Yankees podcast and I stand by this point the New York Yankees losing gabber Torres did not make them better I I I thought lose like not resigning Rizzo and signing gold Schmid makes them better even if you don’t have a high view of gold Schmid because not having Anthony Rizzo is quite important he’s not very good he was very bad for the Yankees last year wasn’t a particularly Stout Defender was one of the worst hitters in the sport um so yeah I mean I I just personally don’t View uh glaber Torres is like a star or anything like that I think he’s a solid player uh and the Yankees are going to have to uh you know try and find an infielder who can make them better because quite honestly they they need an infielder right glaber put up 1.7 War last year nothing special uh nothing that Yankees cannot replace or upgrade on uh but certainly not a Mark that just any player off the street can can hit uh you know Z Waldo cabera I do not believe is a full-time starting second baseman at the major league level um and I also personally think that um you know there the Yankees need to go get go external there uh I also think again you know Hassan Kim someone I’ve talked to a ton um talked about a ton I’ve never spoken to aan Kim uh I think aan Kim is an obvious upgrade um I’ve see people talk about niiko horer talk about him in a second to kind of round out the glaber report look I agree I think it’s stupid to say glaber Tes is a bad player I think it’s crazy to say that glaber’s like this Monumental loss but he’s just not he’s not a bad player he’s really not not um he’s a lazy player I mean look I don’t know what lazy is or isn’t and the reason I say that is because I don’t really know um what makes a lazy player like what makes gabber Torres particularly like lazy because quite honestly I’m not saying he couldn’t have showed more effort he couldn’t have ran a little hard on bases uh but you know again I don’t really necessarily believe that like I don’t know like he was a good player in spite of it he was a major league player I don’t think he struggled to get better because of work ethic um so you know yeah I mean it’s just to me at least it just doesn’t really make sense uh to like harp on the lazy part of it he was a good player he’s a good player he still is a decently good player not a superstar yeah I guess like yeah decision- making yes I think processing skills his processing skills I think were firmly below average I that I would agree with I think he did have firmly below average processing skills and yeah I would agree didn’t to his potential um you know that’s and I agree too like it’s it’s kind of sad to see him go because like you know he was part of the baby bombers like it’s it’s it’s sad to see a player who’s been with you for a while go but I think we can all agree like there’s a reason he’s not here right like there’s a reason he had to go somewhere else there’s a reason why the Yankees haven’t really bought him back there’s a reason why the Yankees yeah again like there’s a reason the Yankees haven’t really bought him didn’t show any interest I don’t even think they uh I’m pretty sure they didn’t even offer him a contract at least that’s what Gaber said so yeah Bonito asks question if they were spending $760 million on stto and they spend nowhere near that on free belly gold Dev I mean that’s probably $300 million where’s the other 360 they holding on to give me Breg uh so here’s the thing it’s not about the total salary it’s about annual average salary at least that’s what matters for the luxury tax um committing $760 million is different than committing on one player is different than committing it on multiple players so uh I don’t see the reason to spend $760 million to commit $760 million on this free agent Market I don’t think there’s anyone there’s a collection of players worth that I think that they should go out and acquire players who aren’t going to be long-term commitments if they don’t believe in them fully um or if they are going to get a long-term committed player it has to be a star um I I mentioned I didn’t really love giving freed eight years like I didn’t love eight years for Max freed uh but I do think he’s a very good player um you know I know Corin Burns just signed he signed for Less uh than Fred but he took less money to go to Arizona uh and there’s like different taxes there not really going to like be pressed over how much freed got compared to Burns so um yeah gber defense was frustrating but when he got hurt yeah I mean look I get it I get it defense matters defense absolutely matters and I agree um but yeah I mean it just doesn’t make sense to me for the Yankees to be I I don’t think it makes sense for the Yankees to like shell out to bring him back you know um I don’t know I just personally think that the Yankees like I think they’ll be fine moving on if they to get you know a Hassan Kim kind of player um I I I get it that you don’t think that but Hassan Kim is a better player he is a better player than glaber Torres he just is like he has yep he has more war every year over Gaber last three years um he hasn’t even played as many games as glabro the last three years he’s significantly better defensively on offense actually if you factor in base running Hassan Kim is as Val if not a little more valuable than Gaber and Bas running does matter base running um absolutely matters when it comes to offense because base running is offense that’s that’s my opinion base running is offense that’s that’s a fact so um yeah what do we got going on here we got uh conversations I’m just trying to scroll up a little bit here um what do we got what do we got niik horn will be an option so I don’t think the Cubs are trading niik Horner despite acquiring Videl bruhan um bruhan isn’t a particularly like High quity Major League player doesn’t make sense for a contender like the Cubs to change like shift out niiko Herer when they’re trying to bring up Matt Shaw I know they’re trying to import infield Talent uh you know I’m just gonna check what videll bruhan did this past year but he wasn’t very good um you know and look I get it you know you don’t you you never know what could happen I’m sure there’s there’s a price tag for Herer that the Cubs would be willing to accept the package for viel bruhan has you know a career negative 1.2 war on baseball reference and a 49 career Ops plus I’d be absolutely stunned if the Cubs view him entering his age 27 season as someone who’s gonna even make the major league roster like is he gonna make the major league team I don’t really know I don’t know if he’s out of options um but he he’s not gonna start for this team if they’re fully healthy I don’t see them moving him uh moving Herer given the hole they have near INF field at third base BR Donovan is my guy I’d also be happy when Brenan low but I think Donovan’s defense is better I think he’ll hit for more power at Yankee Stadium I agree and I saw your previous comment Ryan regarding you know I’d give up anyone but J Ming guys I agree I would offer Spencer Jones that’s I I think I wouldn’t really say that’s a hot take Chase Hampton for sure I wouldn’t say I would offer like my top five prospects at s Dominguez in like as a package for Donovan I think that’s an overpay you can shop that around see what you can get uh but I’d offer like Jones and Warren like pretty easily for Donovan i’ actually think the Cardinal would say no I think they can get a little more Major League Talent from somewhere else but obviously depends on how they value um you know different players on the roster if you guys are here on the YouTube uh make sure you like subscribe turn on the notification Bell comment all that stuff if you’re on the Twitter follow our Twitter page like retweet all that stuff we appreciate you guys stopping by uh for this stream again know it’s been a while since I’ve streamed uh but I always appreciate having you guys around and having company you know you guys are great I love talking about ball with talking ball with you guys uh and yeah I hope to keep going through this comment section and getting through uh some more questions profar plays Third Base why not moving Jazz to Second and uh profar at third so going to do I I realize I haven’t done this uh and we’re going to do this now uh we’re g I think the does the crowd does the chat want the beautiful lovely amazing uh present the screen uh is that is that we’re at right now because I’d absolutely love to present my screen and show you guys what we got going on uh let’s share uh yeah this is the wrong bang um so Prof obviously had a really good offensive season career best exit vlo career best uh Barrel rate career best hard hit rate clearly did a very good job hitting the ball harder this year was very impressed with the strides he made I I thought he would have been a good first base or left field Target for the Yankees if they didn’t care about defense clearly they do uh but his ability to play Third Base is gone it’s it’s not there he’s never going to play the corner infield uh for major league team again most likely hasn’t played third base since 2018 hasn’t played you know significant at second base since 2021 can’t play Short Stop anymore uh yeah he is not an infielder anymore again if he was capable of playing third base in a league average clip yeah I think we be talking about him as the Yankee starting Third Base because there’s no qualifying offer attached uh but I think it’s such a massive risk for a guy who doesn’t have crazy Sprint speed numbers doesn’t have a wicked arm um and that’s kind of the you know honestly kind of has the yeps so um you know personally I just don’t view profar as a target for the Yankees anymore um and um yeah I don’t know I just uh you know I I don’t know I just don’t necessarily view proar as an infield Target for the Yankees at this point in time um give me Tanner Scott Tim Hill Dr Rob Andrew kdge sign Canley sign onto de Alonzo and monata I uh I think that this isn’t happening you’d be literally signing half of a bullpen I don’t think the Yankees are going to sign half of a bullpen they have like one spot left to fill out and Alex were discussing this on our most recent Duo episode Alex released a solo episode uh yesterday uh but let’s look at the Yankee Bullpen depth chart because the Yankees um are in a very weird spot uh their Bullpen so you look at the pitching staff this is six this is seven that’s 13 you can only carry 13 pitches on your 26-man roster they only have like the pitchers with options are Hamilton Cruz cousins Schmidt heel all those guys making the staff they’re healthy JT Brewers not got got zero options the Yankees offered gave him like they tendered him a contract if they non- tendered him they’d actually be under the Steve Cohen threshold so if they sign a player they’re gonna have to either a trade a pitcher probably strowman but you know we’ll see um or trade a bunch of these guys and granted you could but that is quite the ask so yeah but I don’t think they’re signing four players and that yeah it’s a $400 million play rooll we do have a super chat from Ryan Beck Ryan says this is so you just to play of the drop and Ryan just for you my [Music] man play the damn song I appreciate you Ryan you’re the man I appreciate you man uh thank you again for the Super Chat and of course you didn’t G ask any questions without Super Chat I got you um so what do we think about Jose Miranda for third base now I do think the twins are in an interesting position where they can trade out of their infield depth chart uh and the Yankees have maybe some pitching that can help them kind of some of the concerns I have with trading for Miranda include the defense and the sustainability of his Bat now in two of his last three seasons he’s been a firmly above average hitter 116 WRC plus 115 WRC plus completely possible as 20 age 25 season was an outlier uh projections like him but again it’s a bip heavy approach not a lot of play discipline not a ton of pop a decent amount of like line drives not an absurd amount of line drives and kind of the more important thing to me the defense the defense the defense is really bad I mean like negative 70a negative 6 OA at their base know it’s plus one DRS but in his career one DRS negative2 OA negative n outs above average um at third base he’s made 14 errors in 150 games seven of which throwing seven Wich Fielding he isn’t particularly fast I don’t view Jose Miranda as a starting third baseman H at least for the Yankees I don’t think he fits them very well think are gonna go get a bad defensive third baseman who can hit I’d go get Yanni Diaz um and so I don’t and he’s also not a good base runner like Miranda negative 3.5 BSR it was a one point he’s maxed out at a 1.5 War uh granted hasn’t played 150 games but put a pace for like a two- War year this is where you are getting like potentially worse from glaber and if you wanted a bad defensive infielder who could kind of hit you would just sign glaber right so I don’t think the bad defense decent bat profile worked for the Yankees at this point in time um what else we got uh chaen Weaver and Williams would be an Aon back under the bullpen I want to talk about Andrew chaen so I know that a lot of Yankee fans would prefer Tim Hill over Andrew chaen and I I think I lean towards Tim Hill over Andrew chaen because of the familiarity here we’ve seen stim Hill pitch here he’s pitched very well here he was great in the postseason he and chaen are the same age when you look at career trajectory Tim Hill Sinker got better with the Yankees his stuff is pretty good uh but Chaffin misses more bats he was in the uh he had struck out 28.9 28.5% of batters faced 15.4% swinging strike rate that’s the second best Mark of his career um he was in the 96th percentile in whiff rate and then the 97th percentile in Chase rate batters made bad swing decisions when they faced Andrew Chaffin didn’t hit the ball particularly hard home run prevention was great strikeout prevention uh strikeout numbers were great I the walk rates weren’t good we’re talk about like profiles like what does what do these pitchers do well terms of strike out to walk rate chaen beats Tim Hill so in terms of strikeout to walk ratio chaen is significantly better than Hill in terms of damage prevention chaen is not close to as good as Hill granted chaen is still above average at it while Hill is Elite at it yes heel is an elite damage preventer and that’s important I do think that there is signal to Hill’s ability to prevent damage contact I don’t think it’s some luck based thing uh but the Yankees have shifted towards strikeouts in their Bullpen it wouldn’t surprise me uh if the New York Yankees went with Andrew chaen and kept leaning all the way in on strikeouts if you look at the projected War and the projected ER of left-handed relievers on the free agent Market Andrew chaffin’s projections are better than Tim Hills granted it’s not by significant margin and projections for 54 inning sample sizes are crazy weird I wouldn’t trust them a ton uh but I do think there is some substance to the idea uh that again chaan could be someone that the Yankees could benefit from acquiring now regarding his issues against right-handed batters uh if you look at his numbers this year weren’t really real 284 woba 317 slug 326 OBP he actually struggled to get right left-handed hitters out um and now I I don’t know how like stable this is because you look at the strikeouts and walk rates way better strikeout rate you know slightly better walk rate or similar walk rate excuse me against lefties so stri walk rate was way better the whip was higher here the B it 400 b against lefties I don’t necessarily think the Lefty thing is an issue uh but he does a decent job against righties can miss bats against righties the slider plays very well because he has a sharper like gyro slider that prioritizes vertical drop um over uh you know over you know um for a lack of better terms how do I put this um it’s it’s it’s more of a dropping slider dropping sliders or ver sliders that uh prioritize vertical drop they’re called Gyros sliders uh I wish I had my baseball here to kind of like demonstrate to you guys uh but basically if you wanted to get an idea here and I’ll use this like I use this like bottle cap right b a fast ball spins this way right you know spins like or excuse me back spins it spins this way sliders like sweepers uh excuse me gyro sliders are going to spin around kind of like a football which is perfect for football Sunday um so again gyro sliders are those kinds of Sliders that Andrew Chaffin has where it drops more than it has horizontal movement it’s gyro spin it’s spinning around instead of this way or this way or even side spin uh it’s spinning around itself uh that kind of slider plays well against righties um the thing he would need to fix with chaen as his Sinker his Sinker isn’t particularly great uh I think that his Sinker can be better actually like his foren fastball decent bit he’s got like a weird release point for it um the Sinker is something where I think it’s location based I think that Andrew Chaffin has location issues with the Sinker and the Yankees have to shift him to be more willing to attack inside toties and away from lefties so um yeah I I personally think uh that Andrew chaen is someone who can handle right-handed batters he’s proven that before uh he proved that this year he has the profile for it it’s just a matter of whether the Yankees uh can can tune up some of the command ISS that he had in Texas when he got traded I have a great question for you Hassan came at the second lowest Z swing percentage which is Zone swing percentage any concern about him hitting in front of Judge where he’s gonna get pitches to hit that’s a great question and that’s a great Point like how does that profile for the top of the lineup now Gaber didn’t swing super aggressively in zone uh when he was uh at the top of the Yankee lineup uh but do think that he has better Zone aggression than Hassan Kim uh and I think that is a real concern uh but I also think that perhaps getting pitches to hit and getting you know easier pitches to hit or whatever it may be you know it’s it’s something that either can make or break you uh you know when hitters see more pitches to hit um it’s a matter of whether shed player is going to um it’s a matter of whether shed player gets better or not in those situations we saw Alex bregman’s walk rate get cut in half basically uh and he is in my opinion a better power hitter basically are pitchers afraid to give Hassan Kim a pitch to hit I don’t think they are particularly right I really don’t um but if Hassan Kim can punish them which gab was able to do perhaps you know it ends up working out now if he can shift to towards the bottom of the order that’s different situation where like M pitchers are still not afraid to throw to him uh but they just don’t throw a strikes enough um and then the other thing I’d like to put out uh in regards to hos the top of the lineup um you know you’re still going to have pitchers who are wild you’re still going to have like pitchers are just kind of wild they’re just they don’t really throw pitches in zone a ton um you’re not going to see uh you know pitchers just stuff the strike zone with fast balls down the middle they’re G to try to do things to get him to chase that’s just kind of how every pitcher pitches um they’re not enough guys with dominant fast balls anymore because every fast Ball’s pretty good 42.4% of pitches were in the strike zone uh this year if you look at stat cast they have it at 51.3 which is not great you know it’s it’s not particularly High considering uh you know where um I guess where you would assume it to be right like you’d assume pitches are throwing pitches in zone like 60% of the time these are major league pitchers but there’s just not a need to do so if you have great stuff and you can get guys to expand the Zone again Kim is someone who I I I would be curious to see how it works top of the lineup I I know this kind of a fence sitting answer but um I think it’s a valid concern it’s not enough for me not to sign him it’s enough for me to say that would be a reason to move move him out of the leadoff spot if he started to struggle um Kim would be a serious downgrade from glaber I just disagree I I just think it’s it’s it’s incorrect to say that I think that again glaber Torres let’s look at the facts here let’s look at the data Gaber Torres over the past two seasons um a past three seasons 113 WRC plus 3.9 7.9 um War uh 20.4 offensive runs negative six defensive runs negative eight point uh negative eight uh base running runs Hassan Kim over the last three seasons um put up a 106 WRC plus 10.5 war and he played fewer games like he was three wins better than glaber over the last three years as a whole playing fewer games he’s averaging about a war more season uh and we were talking about players in that three to four War range we’re talking about getting you know 25% more production look at the projected numbers I know again 2.8 War versus glaber at around 3.0 but glaber’s projected to have above average defensive numbers I don’t think it’s going to happen I care more about this projected WRC plus 106 to 111 if Hassan came as a 106 WRC plus and gber has a 13 111 WRC plus Hassen G be way more valuable uh because he’s a much better base runner and again he’s a much better defensive player so Hassan Kim definitely a better player than gber Torres definitely a better player than G Torres I think that’s a fact I don’t think that’s opinion I don’t think that’s biased I don’t consider myself a g tourus quote unquote hater I consider myself the kind of person to write him off as is lazy say I hate him and all that stuff uh so yeah I I personally don’t think um you know glabber can be considered better than Hassan Kim and so proen otherwise um yeah uh he won’t be back till late April that’s what Jeff P passon reported definitely a concern uh but definitely again not something that I’m gonna say that I’ll I’ll you know move away from uh Jeff Nick says uh hey Ryan how are you just curious still figuring this out why do you think and I’m doing well why do you think the Yankees traded away uh MC uh NE Jack Neely for Mark ler Jr did he see something of Mark more than him better analytics so I think it was just a win now move uh the Yankees felt like Mark ler Jr would contribute to the major league ballpen immediately and I kind of agree with that assessment Mark L Jr was a huge F in the postseason uh if you look at Mark glider Jr and I’m gonna pull up Mark gler Jr’s um data from this past year uh excuse me this postseason numbers let’s Click Share this tab uh instead uh postseason he was huge for the Yankees in the postseason six huge big balls outings plus win probability added uh 1.69 ra the only big negative win probability added play was the error uh and that was more on Rizzo uh not necessarily bad pitching um I I like Jack Neely a lot I think Jack is a good pitcher but there are some concerns with Neely um his fast ball I know he’s got good vo he’s got pretty predictable movement on the fast ball his slider is a brilliant pitch though his slider is truly excellent when he got to the Cubs you know he was really good in Triple A he was he was pretty freaking good uh and his projections are pretty strong but again you know the fast ball uh not particularly dominant like he’s a dominant slider good fastball guy and honestly and we’re gonna go to stat cast here I’m Gonna Change tabs in a second we’ll look at stuff Plus for a second look at the stuff plus scores um 105 fast ball it’s pretty average 119 slider that’s a tick above average a lot more like he’s a lot more comparable like he’s a worse version of Clayton beer in my opinion um I think Beer’s ability to throw multiple Innings a little more valuable um and again this is me picking at haes here or picking at straws here neie slider is ridiculous his slider is one of the best sliders I’ve seen the inq organization it’s got ridiculous movements it’s a it’s a excuse me it’s it’s just a nasty pitch but again that for seamer right you know 16.7 inch of induced vertical break super high arm angle super high arm angle uh no excuse me not super high arm angle super predictable um arm slot for that pitch doesn’t have deceptive what most would consider deceptive movement isn’t going to fool people on the fast ball hasn’t had a ton of whiffs on that pitch it’s more of a table setting pitch and I think that’s something that he’s gonna have to work with he’s gonna have to work uh kind of with that pitch with the location of that pitch kind of work on getting the vo up a little bit um and work a little bit on you know just executing the slider because as long as he’s got the slider going don’t think Jack de is a bad pitcher I really don’t I think he’s a really strong relever but I think the Yankees correctly identified that Mark L Jr would present them give them more present day value uh and he did he gave the more present day value in the reg in the regular season no but the postseason absolutely and that’s you know I think that you can give Mark lder Junior a pass for the regular season because he was so good in the postseason so yeah agree Kim is a much better all-around player when healthy glaber wins power stat and none of the other stats yeah I agree glaber’s a better hitter I’d argue glaber’s a better hitter I I’d say that pretty confidently I’m pretty confident saying glaber’s is a better hitter than Hassan Kim especially coming off Soul shoulder surgery uh but you know I just have a really hard time grading him as a better player when defense is so valuable and base running is so valuable so um yeah let’s let me share this tab instead because we have a question about Gonzalez from Pittsburgh Nick Gonzalez so um I think the defense that Nick Gonzalez brings to the table to be valuable uh I think he has upside because he has you know a decent amount of pop and he has you know an interesting contact Tool uh but he’s entering his age 26 Season um good defense guy I think the Cub not the Cubs the Pirates would probably prefer to keep him uh because of their lack of infield depth uh if you look at the Pirates roster right now the position player side is very uh Barren it’s not robust it’s not full of of you know position player talent look at their bench again not particularly full of infield Talent I know they have Nick Nick York I know Jared triolo was fun last year for them but he had a really bad year this year um you know I I personally think the Pirates should be just kind of keeping as many position players with upside as possible on the roster I just imported Spencer hor onto the roster Isaiah kindor FFA seems to be their starting shortstop for the year again Nick York they acquired him in the trade for Queen prer prer who’s the Red Sox now and York you know York is a fun player I don’t think he’s gonna be a great big leager but he’s a fun player he’s got some decent pop to him uh so yeah um I just don’t view the Pirates as the kind of roster where you start looking at ways to unplug position player Talent right now you know and I I I I hope that I I like them like I I think they’re fun I I know that you know Paul sk’s the freaking demon and Jared Jones The Monster uh so yeah but I just hard time envisioning if this group is gonna try and you know force a way to get position players off the roster yeah a wor a fate worse than death I mean again DRS likes short OA doesn’t like him uh it’s he’s a weird def he’s a weird defensive player to analyze I’ve there are a few players who have given me as much of a headache trying to look at than Isaiah K OFA who According to some metrics are quite literally some of the best I mean in my opinion some of the best um I mean I defensive sa defensive saves thinks he’s one of the best defensive Short Stops in the sport um do I agree no do I also agree that he’s a negative Defender maybe not that is true they do seem to get deals done with with Pittsburgh they have had a a an a pretty strong relationship with that uh organization so yeah let’s talk Roy Le Spencer Ste yeno Suarez absolutely love would love to talk about that group now Royce Lewis don’t see him getting moved cost control Talent player coming off of a Down year player with injury history may not get enough back for him it would make way more sense for the twins to keep him hope he lives up to his career flashline 128 WRC plus 33 home runs 327 OBP 497 slug entering his age 26 Season like you you bank on that for war player that’s what you bank on that’s you hope for personally I don’t see the twins trading this guy uh I wouldn’t trade him if I was the twins wouldn’t even think about it he’s cheap uh if you look at his uh service time not ARB eligible or excuse me it’s gonna be his first year of ARB eligibility at the end of the season uh he still is an ARB eligible wouldn’t touch it wouldn’t touch it saying the twins wouldn’t touch it the Yankees should obviously be all over a player like that but again don’t see a reason for the twins to move him realize it wasn’t sharing my screen Spencer steer bad year this year at the plate really good year last year but look base running value got a lot better not enough swinging Miss to get me concerned good PD not going to chase a ton going to work some walks decent pop bip was way down I don’t see a reason for the B up to remain 260 I mentioned that I wasn’t a big fan of him in my last time we talked about Spencer steer but I think looking at the bat pip and looking and bip is an important metric to me because if your B pip is high and then the year after it’s just like ex like extraordinarily low like what reason do I have to believe that he’s gonna have a 260 bip again next year I don’t really have a reason to see that I don’t Grant City doesn’t crush the ball on contact that’s definitely something that hurts steer he hit 225 why did he hit 225 definitely not because he doesn’t hit the ball hard right like that’s not why he hit 22 I think a lot of it had to do with bad luck Shar tab base running wise excellent base runner um good sweet spot rates quality of contact did come down that could have affected the B pit but again not enough to say 40 points of drop off there the thing I’m concerned about and you know this is I think a fair concern wouldn’t have hit as many home runs at Yanke stadium that to me is a concern he seems like someone who does benefit a lot from playing in Cincinnati um perhaps the Yankees could tailor that swing a little bit more to Yankee Stadium but um just have a hard time imagining that you know have a hard time imagining that he’s gonna be a stud offensively here but again I would take that 106 WRC plus with that base running the big question for me is the defense how good is he going to be defensively because hasn’t done great at third hasn’t done great at second hasn’t Yankees aren’t goingon to play him at first not gonna play him at Short not gonna play HIM The Outfield it’s got to be second or third looks like second’s a little bit better for him than third he’s got a decent arm I get that uh but again you know I I I I think steer is a it’s a tough it’s it’s definitely a bar it’s it’s a it’s a gamble it’s not it’s not the kind of player where I go yep infield solved 100% no concerns none at all um and again are the Yankees goingon to Target someone whose biggest issue is defense because again if you’re gonna do that you could just sign Gaber granted spe steer has the Obscure is it obscure or like abnormal or like Quirk he he’s got the Quirk that he’s a really good base that’s different from glaber now Suarez Suarez in my opinion would be like the perfect fit here he’s got tons of Pop tons of pop hit 33 home runs last year I know DRS doesn’t love him but OA thinks he’s a stellar defensive third baseman I think the Yankees would view him as a good enough third baseman I would also view him as the quote unquote good enough third baseman tons of juice in the bat 30 bombs last year 115 WRC plus I know the whiffs are High don’t care think it’s important for the Yankees to have a thumper like this in the lineup I know I I think the projection is low I I really do think it’s low he has been a really good player I mean he’s been a three three war three War four War off year Co year four War four War four War player this guy’s gonna have 30 career War at age 33 and he might end up with a 30 to 40 career war and 300 to 400 home runs we’re going to look swars is is probably going to be like a a Hoff ballot guy a Hall of Fame ballot guy does not going to get in obviously but he might end up being a 30 to 40 War guy in his career and we’re gonna be like hey this this guy was pretty solid this guy was a decent ball player this guy had a pretty nice career in the big leagues um you know I I think he’s a really fun player um would certainly love him on the New York Yankees but after signing Corbin Burns I think it’s really hard to imagine that the Diamondbacks would trade him in his final year on the deal making like $15 million when they just picked up the club option I don’t think they have like an internal option that like I know they have Jordan Lawler but like right like like he’s he’s a good Prospect but like Blaise Alexander is not moving it for me Blaise Alexander was a really really bad Defender this year 88 WRC plus entering his age 26 Season not the guy you move Heaven and Earth for uh doesn’t have crazy pop and again just a brutal defensive player at at shortstop uh decent at third but he was so bad at Short I mean he’s just not the kind of defensive player I’m selling out for um and again you know like is is he really like gonna be a good major leager he didn’t hit a lot of home runs didn’t make a lot of contact didn’t make great swing like look at the chase rate not great not the kind of guy if I’m if I’m the dback this is just me I’m Ryan Garcia I’m not the GM not not really trying to find a way to open up playing time for blaz Alexander as a full-time player um and then you know again Jordan Lawler again I’m not doubting him it’s just that like okay Jordan Lawler how old is he he’s I think 20 yes 22 entering his age 23 season why would I as a Diamondbacks for a 22y old coming off of injury to start right out of the gate he’s played what’s this 16 he’s played 28 games in Triple A why am I forcing this guy to start at third base in 2025 why not let him come up if needed why not have him as depth I have like if I’m if I’m the Diamondbacks I have Jo I have um look this roster real quick for you guys I have Josh Naylor I have Lis gel Jr I have Jake McCarthy yo Suarez Kel Marte Corbin Carroll Gabrielle Moreno uh I’ve got uh a rotation of Corbin burn Zack Gallen Maro Kelly Brandon fought Eduardo Rodriguez why am I why am I forcing Jordan poro is a solid player too he’s an excellent defensive player ridiculously good defensive player um ridiculously good on defensive side of the ball really good and a decent enough bat with good base running value this guy could probably mop up you know three War value um you know pretty easily like he could be a three- War player in 2025 I wouldn’t be stunned he’s he’s a pretty solid Defender out there um I just don’t like I I would view pero as the player I’m ready to replace for Lawler if I have to midseason not Suarez right if we talk up Suarez is this really good player would help the in a ton at third base blah blah blah then like it would be a little it would be illogical to also be like and the dib should trade him and give him to the anes right like that that that feels weird to me that’s I just yeah and and look lawers Ming numbers again I think he will be a good Major League player I I I also I’m not poo pooing on Jordan Lawler I’m poo pooing on the idea that the Diamondbacks are going to trade a veteran player who was a huge part of their offense last year right after signing Corbin Burns to a big time deal I’m I’d be shocked and especially after losing Walker and Peterson that’s a ton of offense to lose I mean they lost quite a bit of their offense that’s I think right there what like 50 to 60 home runs it right there in two players you’re going to subtract 33 more I I just feel like that’s crazy right I feel like that’s crazy so um uh Tovar just signed an extension from the with the Rockies entering last year so he’s not going to get traded um so yeah that’s where I’m at um and yeah they’re not they’re going all in they’re Allin there’s no reason to subtract more pop um yeah this is a great question uh how will the Yankees use both these players I think Gomez has trade value he’s an arm he’s an interesting reliever arm he’s got multi- ending capabilities I think it’ll be late spring trade or cut or make the team depending on the injury situations um could make the team out of Camp could get traded during Camp I think that’s that’s Gomez’s future um and then for Oswald perza I’m not sure what they’re gonna do with him I don’t know what his trade value looks like I don’t know if he’s a major Leaguer I don’t know if during spring training that’s gonna happen I just don’t know what’s gonna happen I really don’t know what they’re gonna do I don’t so it’s gonna be really interesting to see what happens with both these players but I I’ll guess that both of them aren’t Yankees when the season starts up this upcoming when the season starts I don’t think there’ll be Yankees so yeah is that a hot take it’s a hot take yeah Chris Drew we got super chat from Chris Drew Chris you know I gotta play it for you the godamn [Music] I appreciate you a lot Chris saying love the constant level up of the setup keep up the great work appreciate you man you know me I’m trying to you know step up the setup all that stuff promise you guys that Christmas would bring uh some upgrades to the setup it has one more upgrade is needed to the XLR cable situation we’ll start working on the backdrop and everything I do like having this headphone stand here gifted to me by my girlfriend uh around my birthday um and you know got to see her this past weekend she’s lovely love her uh so you know owe a lot of that to her um and obviously very blessed and fortunate to be in a situation where you know I have support from my parents and my older brother on you know all this stuff so um you know I’m a blessed guy uh I’m a blessed guy because of you guys because of people in my life so um you know thank you man I really appreciate it thank you a ton uh and hopefully I can keep leveling this thing up uh so yeah where’s tt breacher going so um first and foremost uh you know I I find it super interesting to kind of talk about um JT breacher because if the Yankees didn’t tender him a contract the Yankees would have would be under the threshold um they would be under the Cohen threshold to me at least like that has to indicate that the New York Yankees want him on the roster right um I I I mean like I don’t know like I um I don’t know like how do I put this I um I wonder if Brew Bacher I’m sorry I got a text message I have to like answer it real quick breacher is in an interesting spot because like is he gonna be built up as a starter is it gonna be as a reliever and I don’t know why brewok oh I put Burr I’m trying to type him in on stat cast and share the screen to you guys I also don’t want Ryan McMahon I know that’s floating around the chat a little bit um so yeah um let me pull this up here uh so I if you guys don’t mind me I’m just going to respond to this test text very quickly and then I’ll give you guys a break I just have to respond to this text I’m so sorry about this uh it’s just my bet yeah please know to Ry man please know uh please know yeah uh so um let me just I’m I’m almost done um okay let’s get back to um this situation here so JT breacher is an interesting spot because he’s got a sinker slider curveball foram change up is a big Sinker slider curveball guy right uh I don’t know if being a curveball Sinker slider guy works in the big leagues anymore uh I wonder what he’s gonna tweak um no I mean that it would be funny if she did I do love her she’s great um I could go on and on about her but I don’t want to be a a sappy boy or sappy lover more on this podcast right now uh but yeah in regards to brew Bacher I don’t view him as movable money I view him as a player who’s gonna make an impact on this team next year I also disagree with this I I don’t think they should have been non-tendered if the Yankees like them like I don’t I don’t see a reason why the New York Yankees should non-tender a player making $1.65 million that being breacher if they like the pitcher if you like the player you should keep them if you think the player is going to contribute you should keep them and yes Grisham is expensive he’s $5 million quote unquote for a bench player but like kind of name me the Outfield who can play defense and be like a passible major league bat and don’t site his batting average let’s talk about Ops plus and WRC plus those are the metrics that the Yankees are going to Value because they’re League average uh no excuse me they’re just for the Run environment or the league environment they’re just for all your offensive contribution with the bat um but when in regards to breacher I mean the Sinker is pretty good there’s some good armide run here um decent vertical drop on the pitch decent velocity he’s got some weird weird weird release Tendencies he released some a really wide slot I think it could be a sweeper guy um he has a slider that misses a ton of bats already and it’s kind of a dropping slider I don’t think he needs this curveball I don’t I don’t necessarily think he needs it um change up the pitch I don’t know how he’s going to factor in in fast ball again the four seamer is not particularly great either uh but you know this is this is a guy who can miss bats this is a guy who’s missed bats in his major league career and gotten chases and I think that’s valuable to the Yankees let’s look at his whiff rates and his Chase rates consistently throughout his career where can I get this it’s right here so 27.2 27.4 27.6 that’s above average that’s firmly above average as a starting pitcher too Brer has been a starter his entire career so you get a guy who misses bats um as a starting pitcher can he miss bats that’s the reliever he struck out 23.3 3% of batter face as a starter what’s it going to look like as a reliever can he get better as a starter right that’s the other part of this so I think that Brew Bacher is someone they like I like that he misses bats I think he’s someone the Yankees can get more out of in 2025 um and again I just disagree with this I I disagree that he should be making league minimum you can’t you’re the New York Yankees you shouldn’t have players that just make league minimum you should have quality veteran players who can play their position and if they have to start can start because Grisham is going to have to start if someone gets hurt imagine if that player is I don’t know whatever Ryan Lamar whatever the Ryan Lamar 2025 version of that would be like a player who’s a triaa player and isn’t much more than that um and yeah he did go to drive line this I’m sorry if you guys don’t know that clip it’s like uh it’s it’s the scene where I forgot the movie name um God uh but it’s like he shoots Jeter in the uh the clubhouse it’s like shot A-Rod I love that uh but yeah he went to drive line he he made some interesting tweaks uh let’s look at the spring training data let’s see if we can get his 2023 spring training data um The Other Guys yes I I’m so sorry very uncultured not great with movies I did watch this is this ends with us and um carryon on Netflix this past week if you guys have checked those movies out those are very good movies very and I’m not a movie guy I’m not like a a movie buff or whatever it may be um but those are really fun movies to watch um I don’t know if you guys have watched it uh if you guys have let me know your thoughts on both those movies again I just really was into those uh vertical movement we’re gonna get you guys all this data right now what was he throwing in spring training I yeah I think he’s the pinch Runner kind of guy not Grisham I think grisham’s a legit Major League player I I I I you know what I mean um so breacher was throwing um kind of the oh he did kind of go more death ball in the slider um now if you guys know what a deathball is death ball is what Jordan Montgomery was throwing uh uh with the with the whatchamacallits um he was what he it’s kind of this like dropping like gyro slider breaking wall thing uh breacher’s always thrown like a death ball but this one was like this is nasty this is this is these are good specs on a slider this is the kind of pitch that like like I’m going to be honest with you guys if he can throw this slider he’s going to miss bats he’s going to miss bats in 2025 uh curveball this is more of a sweeper look at this 14.4 inches of glove side movement let’s look at what a sweeper was doing before 6.5 8.2 so this is negative 8.2 6.5 this is 14.4 were there sweepers involved in this are there is is was he throwing a sweeper H I want to look at like pitch and event we’re going to go pitch type curveball um sorry that I’m boring you guys with this I if I’m boring you guys with with JT breacher talk let me know but I I this is gonna be an article just letting you guys know we’re we’re doing an article on this this is gonna happen this is Ryan Garcia’s doing an article on this you know me this is a wicked pitch I mean look at this 20 glove side are you kidding me this is this is freaking nasty uh let’s look at this thing let’s look at this Beauty see if we can get video um I YouTube find me YouTube find me about this come see me about this with Sinker and his look at this and z i mean I see thisall is slider and X that zone oh my God this is this is holy [ __ ] this is 20 inches of sweep my boys fellas this is TW look at that you guys see this thing I hope you guys can see this is gross this is gross I’m going to Loop this this is gross stuff this is this is this is perfect this this is a nasty slider man this the kind of [ __ ] that like yeah I I would 100% like have on tape like I I know that it sounds stupid um but the Yankees uh that’s a nasty pitch that it just it just is see if we can get another one on here um let see what we got I I want to get another swinging strike here uh or you know we could I don’t really care what it’s going to be I just kind of care let’s see another Shing strike here this is 19 inches of sweep on this one this is kind of gross oh there’s no film of this that sucks that some of the these are not gonna have film on that’s just because it’s like spring training but some of these are wicked man some of these are wicked pitches um let’s see swing strike let’s see if they have clips of this this is the Phillies game they should have clips of this a month before he starts to have some light throwing so holy [ __ ] like this is wicked this is this is the clay Hol sweeper this is the clay Hol sweeper boys that’s what this is I I think he’s got now he’s not gonna start I think it’ll be a reliever for the Yankees but if he’s throwing that with that sink pee that could be freaking gross so again this is why I like go I don’t care if the Yankees are spending marginal money on these players I just find it interesting because they’ll tell you who they like or who they don’t like based on what they’re willing to do to cut a player I mean if they cut a player a non-tender a pitcher you can know yeah that player is either hurt or they don’t have a lot of interest in said player they clearly like this guy and they should like this guy because this guy stuff is freaking nasty it just is and I think nasty pitches you always go with upside you always go with good stuff um so this is JT bwalker we sign we acquired him last year just kept getting hurt the Yankees wanted to get him back in the year this year this is a this is a crazy new slider to have um and then you look at the the Sinker you know the Sinker is isn’t the kind of pitch where like I’d say it’s the grossest thing you’ve ever seen in your life but it’s got good arms side movement it’s got good horizontal life I want to look at the I’m gonna I think we should Loop the other one this one is like one of the best pitches I’ve ever seen in my life like this is like like a Premiere this is a premier slider guys look at that like that’s a premier slider that is a premium pitch that is a premium pitch premium pitch let’s talk about rookie Sasaki though because we’re gonna talk about R saki rooki Sasaki I don’t think is gonna be New York Yankee I’ve said this time and time again but if he were I’d cry because I think that that would be sick and like the Yankees he’s got RI saki like it’d be a win the Yankees would have I think won the off season like I not one but like it would be a huge huge boost to the offseason grade for me like I’d be like yep great great job great job boys let clap it up good job Brian Cashman like I I that’s where I’d be at um I would cry I think crying is is is a good thing to do when good things happen to your sports team because you probably cry when bad things happen so um and then you look at the slider and by the way sorry I didn’t mean to do that um and when you look at Saki yeah I think he’s going to go to the Dodgers or the Padres D are in getting a meeting is good because Joe wolf represented y Moto he represents a lot of really good Japanese players so you know it’s good to have a good relationship with his agent it just is it’s good that sasaki’s like yep Yankees I want to at least meet with them I want at least meet I just want to know what their pitches I I know what they have to say uh if it gets saki won’t happen does that make heal tradeable probably I mean but all the thing is you probably want a six-man rotation with Saki and you probably want pitching depth here’s the thing guys saki Hill Schmidt rodon freed Cole like someone’s hitting the iil we all know that right like someone in that group is hitting the I that’s a fact also wanted to pull up this um sorry sure steep said wanted to pull up this pitch right here the Sinker like when you look at when you start overlaying pitches and you look at pitch tunneling look at that it’s start out here I mean that’s pretty sick and sick arms side movement so again he’s got good horizontal movement that’s the foundation of a good Arsenal for the Yankees and if he’s in the ballpen is he sitting 93 94 94 95 excuse me right also someone said this it ends with us was a terrible movie uh Brew rocker is a guy we we didn’t just get him we got him last year uh but he’s not gonna pitch until this year like this is the year he’s going to pitch for the Yankees uh someone mentioned that they didn’t like it ends with us and I would love to get your opinion on that yeah this ends with us I thought it was a great movie I thought it was a very like very powerful movie granted it’s a dark movie uh I just really liked what I liked about this ends with us is that it took it to the perspective of Lily while she was like while she was being gasset by riy and I really thought that was a really cool perspective to show the book I I have have to read the book um I I bet the book is probably better that’s usually kind of like kind of how it goes with books turned into movies uh but yeah I I crying at the end of Coco is very fair very fair is Josh roas enough of an upgrade over internal options good Defender with at at third base at least um do I believe in Josh roas ability to be a good major Leaguer more than oswal prazza yeah I agree um yeah I agree I agree with that uh but I would want more I want I yearn for more yearn for more this is actually a good take on the movie I you know what I didn’t think of it like this didn’t get into the abuse at all felt more exploitive I think the whole point is that you’re not supposed to like you’re supposed to watch the movie and from her perspective you don’t think she’s being abused and I think that’s the point because she’s convincing herself she isn’t being abused um I think that was the point I think it’s also hard to fit that in just like one movie and like screen time I do get it I think it’s easier again to kind of do this in a book than a movie um and the author I believe is approve approves of the movie if the author approves of the movie I’m usually happy with the product I usually feel like that’s fine I don’t have a problem with that if the movie if the the author was unhappy with the movie or hated the movie you know what I mean um that’s fair that’s fair that’s fair I get it I get it I again I think it’s an interesting conversation but um I I’m gonna get back to baseball but we will I will I will talk more about this movie at some point I really like I I thought this movie was very interesting we’ll say carry on interesting movie Netflix think it came out of thing came out recently carry on was an interesting movie kind of like a you know your typical like action movie very tense very tense the entire time watching the movie he’s get no arado from the cards he’s good all that makes sense don’t think so don’t think the bat makes a lot of sense for the think think the bat doesn’t play here at all you know what I mean don’t think it plays here at all uhaus would be a good bench get would not be a good starter for the Yankees I’m still dreaming of Ben Donovan to the Yankees I would die for benan Donovan on the Yankees I don’t think Sasaki will pick the Yankees um doesn’t Roki suaki Japanese critics criticize him for leaving early why join the Dodgers where all Japanese critics with attack rotation already and C returning where he’s going to be put I honestly don’t think that he cares about what the what like the Japanese media thinks if he cares was stayed I Al don’t think he cares about the money because honestly um like like I know the Dodgers signing B and I know you’re not mentioning this Mikey but like I know people have mentioned the signing bonus think have more signing bonus money than the Dodgers if he really care about the signing bonus money God why like why wait why why not wait two years and go get 200 million 300 million maybe 400 million get a bag from a team you know what I mean uh this guy decided to forego generational wealth to come to the big leagues and make League of minimum for three years arbitration money for three years and maybe just maybe sign a pre-arbitration extension maybe and it’s not going to be what he what his market value is so um I don’t think he cares about the outside noise I think he just cares about making a decision he wants to make and I think the decision he wants to make is go to the Dodgers and it just it’s weird don’t you guys find it weird he wanted to come over last year and he really wants to come over this like why would you want to come over to United States you didn’t have a team in mind to play with that’s just my logic I could be wrong I could be wrong I’m not sourced on this stuff I’ve never spoken to RI suaki never spoke to waserman agency never spoke to Joel wolf so yeah mom and sister both read the book and like the book much more haven’t seen carry on been watching Indie movies I missed while at College anyways back to baseball again I’m not a huge movie B uh so if you would like to kind of recommend any movies DM me R GSM on Twitter uh or just Join one of these live streams and just start shooting movies to me uh I would love movie ideas love it would love it um but I should read the book 100% should read the book I guess before making comments on the movie if that’s fair um and the two arms were Tim Hill and Andrew cha we had a conversation about it I think this live stream just kind of got went from like I think this live stream went from like oh my God here’s like you know here’s uh Whatchamacallit this live stream went from Andrew Chaffin and Tim Hill to oh my God look at J look at look at this JT breacher sweeper holy holy [ __ ] right which I think is very very uh very much up fire shine Yankees alley uh we’re going to wrap things up soon because I’m eat dinner so send your last questions in feel the Yankees are in a great spot to land saki have the Brandon winning culture I I personally think that the Yankees would be an attractive landing spot for saki but like you know I’m not Roki saki dude I’m not you know what I mean uh so uh yeah I just think he’s gonna want to be a Dodger um Tim Hill and who else Andrew Chaffin Andrew chaff someone we talked about I want to I think I have article I published already about him or have in pending I forget uh if I published it I’ll link it uh on Twitter uh I’ll throw it up there um talk about Andrew cha in a little bit this Bacher article is gon to go stupid guys this gonna go triple platinum this is going triple platinum folks um I know he Tanaka is Idol I know that that is that is abundantly true so yeah um hey what’s your preference in order o this a good question Hassan Kim Brendan Donovan L asro or internal with DJ cabera internal is dead last and there’s like a steaming pile of [ __ ] on top of them like love Cabrera as a dude good utility piece absolutely not gonna consider him a starting second baseman clear the worst player group in this group now Castro’s Willie Castro’s probably four Willie Castro is a good four though if he he’s like four on my board of these players but I’d be happy with him I like Wily Castro swing at Yankee Stadium he’s a good arm guy good arm really good arm could play Third pretty well good speed one-year deal easy to acquire probably kind of guy you can like plug in play at third reevaluate the position whatever it may be throw him all over the field he can play The Outfield a little bit I know he made some stupid decisions center field but uh decent outfielder um decent second baseman can even stick at short for a little bit if you need to kind of guy I’m like yep just versatile if you cheap B it second it’s him fine whatever don’t care La Brenan la assuming love Brandon La two thumbs up love Brandon La concerns about the defense concerns about the injury concerned about the playoff performance but the the the red flags the like the concerns they’re not enough for me to be deterred from the player two thumbs up would consider it’s a B plus the a off season if the Yankees acquired Brandon La Hassan Kim is two on this list I know I know you guys are like Kim should be one I know I know but I love Brennan Donovan Hassan Kim is a great number two again you get him B plus a off season br Donovan is an a Rand Donovan gives me an a I think he gives the Yankees an a renon Donovan is a good hitter has the benefits of profile well at Yankee Stadium which Castro Lao and Donovan have in common Kim does not profile as well for Yankee Stadium defensively he’s probably the second best defender in this group behind Kim base running wise he’s a better Defender base runner than Lao a worse base runner than Castro but not but marginally and a way worse base runner than Kim and then Don the thing with donov is a better bat and I think you’d sacrifice a little bit of base running and a little bit of defense for a bat that’s a lot better A lot more sustainable a lot better for the Bronx he would have hit 19 home runs instead of 14 if he played all his games the Yankee Stadium again I think that the Yankees I think we could all agree in this chat for as much as we talk about defensive base running and as important as it is for the Yankees to be good at both next year we would all gladly take a meh base runner and a good Defender with the bat that Donovan has which is around a 115 to 120 WRC plus over like a 105 WRC plus hitter like Kim with a great glove and good base running marginal it’s a marginal difference but I think that you you made the defense base running play at left field and gold Smith’s a better base runner than most first baseman and a better Defender than most first baseman so you just want to get a sure bat Donovan’s a pretty sure bat he also is gonna play 162 games more like it’s more likely that Donovan plays 150 games than Hassan Kim that matters in this equation too um it does it just does like all that stuff packaged together who’s going to play more games for you right like if again let’s do pros and cons who’s going to play the most amount of games Donovan and Castor are one and two on that list who’s gonna play uh who’s gonna be the best bad of this group low and Donovan are one and two on that list best defenders Kim and Donovan are one or two on this list so defense um volume so like durability defense durability OBP skills actually Donovan probably has the best OBP skills of this group power game Power he probably has I would say that he probably has Donovan probably has like the second best game Power in this group behind just Brandon La Brandon La is the only guy who can consistently hit the ball out of the yard um not for the first half just for the first month so um yeah I mean again it’s just like one of those things where the safest player in my opinion projection wise uh the easiest player project for 20125 in my opinion it’s just it’s it’s Brenan Donovan it’s Brendan Donovan that’s why I’m there yeah that’s that’s where I’m at kind of crazy for me to like I know it’s it’s kind of crazy that like I I I don’t know it’s it’s a weird meth mythology for me but methodology for me but yeah um no they shouldn’t move vul off shortstop uh yes he would hit for more power here too Ops plus would be up I 100% agree 100% Ryan Beck two thumbs up and call Korea if call K he would be my number one k k I think is holy freaking like I love C Korea Sam Huff think that the combin deal wouldn’t hurt um Sam Huff like I I see what your logic is um where it’s just like the Yankees just need catching dep probably they just traded two cash away arvas and trino the problem with Huff is that you know I don’t know if he’s a good defensive catcher like I don’t know if he can stick at the position I think that’s why the Rangers deade him I think that’s why they said yep you had three uneventful Major League games you’re on you’re done you’re out so um yeah crazy good thump though crazy thump crazy thump in the bat tons of Pop tons of power tons of power in Sam Huff uh couldn’t see that it would hurt to uh acquire him but again I don’t view him as like a reliable option very concerned about the defense so yeah and strowman uh Marlins yeah Denny Diaz is probably such a bad defensive player so yeah okay real paint I’m gonna screenshot this just going to screenshot it just going to yeah thank you man uh I to wrap things up here soon and yes I think AAR getting the backup job is fine with me um I know you can’t do anything this nothing this offseason but I want Kyle Tucker badly I don’t want to play overpay for a B plus player not be able to get K sucker next year I agree I don’t want to overpay for a B plus player because I just don’t think it’s good value I think the Yankees wouldn’t be getting meaningfully better anyways um but yeah I want K Tucker more than I want anything in baseball right now outside of a world series title uh with that being said appreciate you guys stopping by appreciate you guys being here for the live stream uh I’m gonna go eat dinner and work on this J JT breacher is the man of the hour and uh yeah appreciate
