contested battle heavy type game so nothing ever looks real pretty but um I thought our guys made good decisions played defense well made good decisions and some timely goals Peter a few the guys talked about supporting each other staying tight through everything that was going on today did you sense it in some ways it almost kind of brought them together and had them ready into to play from the drop of the puck um you know the again the day happened we needed to do that anyway you know it’s it went things aren’t going your way you got to stay together you have to play for each other and that’s the only way out of it sometimes and so tonight was for me was a positive step and it’s one step we got to follow it up with more but um it was goodine against the CR line a lot seem to have a lot of success just what did you their performance really from the first shift um and mostly through the first period I thought that they had great offensive looks and they just carried that right through the game I all thought um all three of those players were were really strong tonight it’s never an easy thing when you’re playing against Sydney he’s he’s really good at both ends of the ice and so not only is it hard to create you got to defend the right way as well and um I thought that they were excellent M’s line did did you notice anything different with with the way you guys were breaking the out tonight too it led to a couple of goals but just in terms of I don’t know whether it was speed or decis we’re you know we’re we’re we’re trying to move that quick quicker you know we’re trying to get it out of our hands quicker get it out of the Zone quicker get it through the neutral zone get it out get it through get it in it’s just a it’s a pretty simple me message and pretty simple method but when you do it and you have speed behind it you can get and you can get some Pace coming out of your zone or you can move that neutral zone Puck and counter quickly it just it just makes your game a lot quicker it just makes everything faster what’s the importance for the team longm yeah I’m I’m um not there yet soeter tra spoke earlier um media he mentioned that the speculation from the summer to now he felt impacted him as Captain help made it harder for him to be the captain of this team is that anything you witnessed yeah I I can’t I can’t speak for trouba and I didn’t I didn’t hear his um any any comments that he made I can tell you that and I said this to him I I thought while we were here our time here I thought he was a a really good player and a really good teammate uh good person I thought he worked hard and tried to set a great example for the New York Rangers and um these days are never easy and I I enjoyed working with him in the time that I was here um and I wish him nothing but the best it’s uh uh he’s a he’s a good man and uh this was a tough obviously a tough day you know when the change change is a tough day and um I I wish him the best I can’t I can’t speak to his comments and what he what he was saying but um you know it’s it’s u i i I think that you know he’s for his time that he was here I thought he was very good for us kind of speaking Val the beer didn’t he just had the locker and that he felt like maybe over the past couple days there’s been a cloud over the team a little bit and that’s just something happens when you’re not winning games so with everything that transpired today obviously you want to win a hockey game but winning this game after happens it just mean a little bit ex yeah I I think you you know it’s a it’s a starting point it’s a different like I said this morning it’s a different direction and um it’s a starting point for that uh you always yeah yeah a win is the way to start it if you’re going to start something and you’re going to move in a different direction you’d like to get out with uh a a win you’d like to get out feeling like you played well in the game and and um I think we accomplished that thank you thank you thanks
