so now the Yankees will have to look at life without Juan stto they were right in the mix there with the Mets uh in terms of the contract offer to stto so this is this is definitely a blow for the Yankees but when you look at the free agent Market there’s lots of options out there for what the Yankees need and this goes for the trade market as well so there’s still a way for the Yankees to build a really really good roster going into 2025 yeah we know the Yankees offered over 700 million for stto so we know they’re ready to spend money and there is a narrative where the Yankees could actually potentially f a better roster um if they make the Right Moves now so first Aaron judge gets the move to his more natural right field that’s huge for the Yankees he was a well below average center fielder last year that opens up center field for Jason Dominguez who is a much more natural center fielder than left fielder the Yankees could go out and trade for Cody Bellinger they could sign Anthony santand Deere to play The Outfield um you know Christian Walker is still available to play first base there’s guys like you know Tyro Estrada at second Pace you know there there are options out there to fill out the rest of the lineup and we know the Yankees are in on Max freed they’ve talked to Corbin Burns so they could spend big money um to lock in another Ace and then fill out the lineup maybe not with a SoDo hitter but with three All-Star hitters um and I think that that could make the Yankees lineup deeper which was an issue in 2024 yeah if you looked at the Yankees in the World Series obviously it’s great to have Juan sto on your team so losing him hurt if watch that the Yankees didn’t thatout the roster and I think maybe signing with the Mets is kind of a little bit of a happy accident for the Yankees as we move forward this off yeah this is this is not a death sentence for the Yankees they could have a really good roster in 2025 depending on how the next couple of weeks turn out
